    This is great. I was considering a mo-two, but this is so much better. Worth the extra. I also am from SEQ with the legendary yellow DRZ.

    I have had a Rack’n’roll for 7 years, maybe 10 even. I have torture tested the crap out of it !! Used to live in Gove NT with 600k of dirt to get in / out. Rack has done that corrugated bullshit probably 10 times , countless offroad tracks including low range 4wd tracks . About 20,000 on road Kay’s, has been on the back of cars like yours is mounted , on the drawbar of camper trailer & rear of caravan . Would recommend to anyone 💪💪

      Nice mate
      Definitely sounds like you’ve punished yours 😂

    Thought about one for my Paj but was advised against. Not because of an issue with the ra ck itself but more to do with the towbar mounting points. They added no such issues with a ute. I think they are good choice and see them often nowadays.

    Oh man I’ve seen soo many videos of these things failing and owners looking back in the mirrors to see thier pride n joys cartwheeling down the road. You’ve had it for a while and it’s worked so far but steel gets stressed, and for $1000 I’d go the simple trailer option but thank you for your honest review of it

    • @_JoshJB_
      @_JoshJB_  Год назад +2

      I really can’t see this happening with this rack mate. It really is sturdy. Trailer means another rego to pay plus I don’t have the space too. Cheers for watching

    • @budget-adventure
      @budget-adventure Год назад

      Probably different where you are. In vic if it’s just a 6x4 there’s no rego to pay. If it’s a modified trailer it’s only $60 a year. I got one once and wheeled my dr650 onto it and the thing wobbled all over the place. Granted they’ve come a long way in just a few years. But a tow bar is designed to have a trailer attached via a ball. Do they offer any type of warranty with a custom carrier like that? And have you contacted your insurance company to see if the bikes covered being carried in that way?

    • @_JoshJB_
      @_JoshJB_  Год назад +1

      @@budget-adventure yea I’ve seen other ones that do wobble around but they don’t compare to this.
      It has a 5 year structural warranty. As for the insurance I haven’t checked but I don’t see why it would be an issue.

    • @budget-adventure
      @budget-adventure Год назад +1

      For piece of mind it might pay to give them a quick call just to make sure it’s covered. Not so much from failure, but more so as it’s on the back and the first thing hit if someone runs into the back of you

    Thanks heaps Josh, very informative video, I'm currently looking for a decent rack, I'm tempted to just build my own but it's easier to buy one already built and approved etc. Others come with bugger all and you need to buy all the lights etc as an extra. Good stuff mate! 👍👏🇦🇺😎

    • @Auslife007
      @Auslife007 Год назад +1

      they are a quality rack. I built my own and if I had to do it again Id just buy one. Mine works great but it was time consuming and still ended up costing a couple of hundred $$$

      @@Auslife007 yeah man I agree, thanks for your advice. Wanna carry my Husky 701 Enduro up to Connondale etc 👍😎🇦🇺

    Hey mate what's the depth of the towbar receiver on your ranger?
    Mines only 90mm deep and a little concerned about chucking a carrier on.

    I had a few and its a very easy process getting the bike on and off but the only thing I don't like is seeing the bike bounce around everywhere whilst driving

      Mate. It'd never happen. That ute would have a 3.5T towing capacity so the towbar would have a maximum safe towball download of 350kg. Allowing 20kg for the rack and Max bike capacity of 180kg, he's well within any limits. Of course, it's always best practice to keep the load as close to the vehicle as possible to minimise leverage. The only limitation this rack would have would be based on the tow vehicle and its towing / towball download limits set by the manufacturer. This is based on Australian regulations.

    That looked a very steep angle to get the bike up the ramp. 😳

    • @_JoshJB_
      @_JoshJB_  Год назад +1

      It was mate. My car was leaning the opposite way making it steeper than usual. Still wasn’t too bad getting it up there. A longer ramp wouldn’t probably help me as my 4wd is lifted a few inches.

    Way over priced. I bought a 10' lawn trailer that I can carry my side by side, 60" mower, or two dirt bikes. Same price brand new.

    I hope this bloke doesn't claim to be an Aussie? He should probably go back to school and learn how to pronounce Zed not Zee! Or is he just doing it to appease his Seppo audience? Don't tell me I don't know what I'm on about either my minister for finance and war is a teacher.🤔🤔🤔
