  • Hello, Electronics Enthusiasts!
In today’s video, I am excited to showcase three projects from my students, designed as digital oscilloscope models using our school's available components. Each project turned out great, with one student finishing first and the other two creating visually appealing designs.
Our projects aim to show how with minimal components, interesting and functional devices can be created. Although I cannot show the circuit diagram at this moment, I hope the video speaks for itself.
The motion of the waveforms is a deliberate choice to improve recognition on small "screen" resolutions. The oscilloscope models can display sine, square, and sawtooth waveforms, as you will see in the video.
Did you like the project? Thinking about trying something similar? Share your thoughts in the comments, and don't forget to subscribe for more exciting projects and electronics learning content!

Valaki kérdezte az IC-k típusait és funkcióját.
74HCT14 oszcillátor és inverter a számláló reszeteléséhez a 138-as IC "7" értékű kimenetéről
74HCT393 2x4 bites bináris számláló mint 3 bites 0-6-ig számláló az oszlopok címzéséhez,. X eltérítés
74HCT138 3 bitből 8 kimenetre dekodoló, a kijelző oszlopainak katódjait aktiválja, X eltérítés
LM324 Quad-OpAmp mint 4 darab komparátor az ADC funkcióra, Y eltérítés
74HCT86 Quar.ExOr a komparátorok kimeneteiből mindig csak a legnagyobbat engedi magas szintre és 270 Ohmon át meghajtja a kijelző sorainak az anódjait, Y eltérítés

Oscilloscope or is it just a pattern generator? Asking for a friend

This is a small-resolution screen digital oscilloscope model. The signal comes from a function generator.

Wow dude awesome. And you only used ICs? You have an schematic somewhere?

I will try to show it somehow, but now here is a short list of the IC-s and their tasks.
74HCT14 oscillator and inverter for counter resetting from IC 138 output "7"
74HCT393 2x4 bit binary counter as 3 bit 0-6 counter for column addressing, X deflection
74HCT138 Decoder from 3 bits to 8 outputs, activates the cathodes of the display columns, deflection X
      LM324 Quad-OpAmp as a 4-piece comparator for ADC function, Y deflection
74HCT86 Quar.ExOr always only the largest of the comparator outputs is high and drives the anodes of the display rows through 270 Ohms, Y deflection

    triangle wave

The triangle wave is symmetrical, but our signal is asymmetrical, called sawtooth.
