If you need a place to have over 1 million citizens to count as a city, i can name several countries with no cities.
Kulfyr3 I feel like population isn’t the best way to define a city. Maybe it should be qualified based on infrastructure or the role it holds within it’s nation (for example, is it a capital city?)
Ljubljana has 280 thousand people, and it's considered a city in Slovenia, even if it's the smaller capital cities of other countries.
If Ljubljana HAS 1 million people living in it, that's half of Slovenia!
(Sorry for rambling on something)
I live in a place in the netherlands which has city rights but there are 13.000 inhabitants
Kulfyr3 In the UK it used to be the case that a town became a city if it got a cathedral or university.
Demographers tend to say more than 25,000 people in a municipality as defined by that country is a city, what do you do if a country doesn't define that well I personally don't know. Though personally I would think that if you have an area that averages more than 25,000 people and say an average of 1000 per square mile should count as a city.

Probably a joke but ok
America as a whole didn't want to even be involved in WWII. Clever planning in the Government, and Japan taking the worse course of action is what tipped the scales. To dumb a lot of fuel on America wanting revenge. If Japan had instead just focused on taking over Asia first, build up it's military with the new resources, and then went after the USA. Japan would have been a lot more terrifying.

Perth to Adelaide is 2,750km by road. The road includes one section of straight flat road that is 146.6km long.
How timely - I just got back from Adelaide, stopping over in Honolulu. Having visited Perth a little bit before that, it is crazy to have a city of that size be so isolated. But it felt a lot like San Diego which I was surprised by (similar population, climate, culture, etc.).

It might be best to research Perth and the state of Western Australia a bit more. Western Australia is incredibly rich on mineral resources, and Perth has an excellent blend of cost effective housing/land and very high earning potential. If you can name another similarly first world affluent city that is funded by such an abundance of minerals, I'd sure love to hear it.
Nearly all the resources in WA leave via Broome or Port Hedland, since most of the mining is in the Pilbara in the north (Lithium mining at Greenbushes south of Perth though).
Don’t under estimate how Native Hawaiian dynasties grew the city and interacted globally

Half witted fucking NORMIE! !!!!!!!
This video only talks about the most isolated city by distance to other major population center.
not the real most isolated city because it's so hard to get there and so hard to get out of there like Norilsk - Siberia (Russia)
Exactly, despite the distance Honolulu is super easy to get to. A round-trip ticket from the US West coast can be had for $400 and the flight is a mere six hours. I don't call that being isolated.
As a Perth dweller, we quite like being far away from the rest of the country a lot of the time. So much so that a succession movement has been bubbling away here for decades. Although, somewhat to visitors dismay, we tend to do things at our own pace, hence why WA really means "wait awhile".

He's used the relatively arbitrary figure of 100,000 people to define another city. I guess it's more, which major city is most isolated from other major cities.
For a city to exist, there has to be a surrounding economy - which usually means you are smaller supporting cities, towns, and villages around them - so even somewhere like Perth isn't entirely isolated.
The amount of sarcasm and witty jokes in this video is palpable. _I love it._
