Firefighter Recruit Course 135 Graduation Ceremony

Witness the start of a fulfilling and rewarding career for these dedicated firefighter recruits as they embark on their new roles providing life saving Fire and Rescue services for the state of Queensland.
This ceremony represents the final step in a 16 week program where recruits receive world-class training at the Queensland Combined Emergency Services Training Academy. The course is comprised of intensive practical and theoretical instruction on key areas of work for firefighters, such as fire behaviour and live fire scenarios, road accident rescue, swiftwater and technical rescue, building inspections, management of hazardous materials, and station and equipment maintenance. Entrance to the course is via a highly competitive selection process and requires incredible physical, mental and emotional strength to be successful.
The firefighters graduating here have shown incredible fortitude and commitment to the be where they are and upon graduation will continue their learning as their start their careers on shift at fire stations all across Queensland.
