An astonishing interview! Keith was so informative in this interview! Keith has been one of a very small group of pianists that have had a profound effect on me as a musician! He answered many questions I’ve always wanted to ask him!
La musique,du Faso est une source intarissable de douceurs. Elle permet de plonger au plus profond de soi et simultanément d'entrer en résonance avec son prochain, Yé Lassina Coulibaly❤❤❤
Listening, the idea came to me that, perhaps, given time, Glenn Gould might have broken out . Might have departed from the notes on the page composed by someone else and soared off into improvisation.
Cringe worthy it may be, but take heed of what he said. It is not intentional, but rather a necessary (given the hyper intensity of what he does) if unfortunate by product of the process.
The Köln Concert is pure bliss.
Wonderful, inspiring interview.
Love how this man improvises...his use of melody is outstanding and opens the doors to so many pianists

I love that Keith always does his impersonation of Miles when he talks about him! 🤣
Everyone does! Herbie Hancock a particular culprit.
He's so good ❤
EXCELLENT

Didn't get what happened with his health issues in the 90s. Anyone got it?
Chronic fatigue syndrome. He was too weak to play for 2 years.
Where is the music that plays in the background from?
Testament Abum, last track.

Gould improvised a lot in his recording of the Handel suite in A major - the 1st movement, that is. Can't say I enjoyed the result!
If I ever play with someone famous, I'll make sure to anti-quote them.

Another good thing about this video is that he didn't bring his horse with him :)
??? Elaborate?
He still doesn't get why dancing and singing when performing is so cringeworthy for us.
Completely disagree. It's music not accounting.
Clearly your ego thinks it speaks for all of us. Deluded much?

@@kenforfia5067 He never made me cringe. Envious maybe.
But if that music stopped coming out of him because of him stopping dancing and vocalizing for a few who want entertainment, then what would we have?
