Someone left a comment about how they had green hair and this video made them insecure. First of all- I am so sorry if it came off that way. If you watch until the end of the video, I talk about how dope the color was, and props to people who can pull it off! It’s super statement and unique. I even said myself I enjoyed having green hair. The point of the video was putting myself outside of my comfort zone with blue hair and trying something on the more “different” hair spectrum. From one colored hair girl to another, I was not hating at all. Certain colors others can pull off better than others. Just because I didn’t feel my best with green hair doesn’t mean that you don’t look your best. Everyone is unique and certain things look better on others!
Okay, I’m not hating because you seem like a great person. But I think you put way to much emphasis around your hair. I’m all about people finding what makes them happy and living their truth but if it’s something as superficial as hair that defines you then that doesn’t really set a great example to younger viewers. You are a great person and your hair is an external way of feeling like who you are. But you don’t have make everything in your entire life revolve around it. I think that’s how people can feel insecure about themselves while watching this because you’re basically conveying that through social media and your videos. Any way, aside from that I truly enjoy your “Truth About” series! and hope that you find self love because you are a beautiful person.
I feel like green isn't too far out. Like she could come across all the exact same struggles with the blue hair she has now. Something like Bright Red or Pink is maybe a little more out there

i'd love to see a weekly challenge that doesn't have so much emphasis on your physical appearance. i don't think it's necessarily healthy to focus so much on it, & i think it's important to step back and see how much focus and energy you put into thinking about your hair color. obsessing over it so much not only makes you feel really insecure when things don't match up well (nails, wardrobe, etc), but it also makes you very concerned with how other's perceive you, whether it's your fans or friends. i understand that so many people struggle with their physical appearance and it can ruin someone's entire mood (my weight does that, and i know you've struggled with this issue as well), but i think the more you push towards creating content that doesn't revolve around aesthetics and revolves more around inner self love, you'll become less negatively affected by the physical things. i'd love to see a challenge where you try not to say negative things about yourself for a week, or try not to talk about your physical appearance each day.
I'm not sure how you define neurotypical specifically, but with my knowledge on it I would say your assumption is correct. I don't have a neurological disorder, but the neurodiversity of the human race is so complicated that using that word really isn't helpful in proving any points unless you know for sure if Niki is neurotypical or not. If she isn't, and my advice is impossible for her, then she doesn't have to take it. I simply suggested to *attempt* to focus less on her physical appearance, no matter how difficult it may be, and to maybe start with her content in which she spent a week putting effort into. I'm really glad that I'm not the only one that doesn't feel right if a part of my style feels sloppy to me, if I don't have a tan, makeup on, the right outfit, etc. That's ALWAYS been such a huge mental block and insecurity of mine. If you had colored hair you would be insecure about it, people notice you and they stare at you alot, they ask you about it and they judge you so much. You feel completely different from everyone else, you get noticed alot more and some people don't like it. Plus when your trying to pick out an outfit it is hard. If you have a natural hair color (blonde, brown, black, etc) then your less noticed and no one really cares about your hair but having colored hair makes you stand out. In big group pictures, you can easily find yourself and it's a bit hard. Hahah i have pink hair so yes I do understand

If you had colored hair you would be insecure about it, people notice you and they stare at you alot, they ask you about it and they judge you so much. You feel completely different from everyone else, you get noticed alot more and some people don't like it. Plus when your trying to pick out an outfit it is hard. If you have a natural hair color (blonde, brown, black, etc) then your less noticed and no one really cares about your hair but having colored hair makes you stand out. In big group pictures, you can easily find yourself and it's a bit hard. Hahah i have pink hair so yes I do understand
