"An evil has returned." Cut to Galadriel.
Seems about right. I'm rooting for fake Sauron against very fake Galadriel.
You haven't seen what she's seen.
at least better than the gay doctor
"Sauron has returned and this time he's tricked us using the same trick he used to trick us last time . " - idiot elves
Remember guys, no hate watching or else it will convince Amazon to continue producing this garbage.
I just won't watch it.
Amazon already greenlit and paid for 5 seasons of this junk, sadly.
The money for production has already been spent, bro.
just pirate it like a normal person
they paid for the rights to do 5 seasons. It also grants them bragging rights to have conquered another IP
I just rewatched the trilogy. Almost 25 yrs later it still holds up and looks better then films today
Same. Watch them once a year. Same with Harry Potter. Absolutely timeless
@@mikelowrey1910 I'm same way. I just rewatched after hearing about Brevard Hill
It's sad what a step back the industry has taken. I just watched The Matrix a few days ago. The fight scenes looked better than the new Roadhouse, and those are literal professional fighters.
I rewatched last year after a while and it felt like being from another world. It felt honest, honest storytelling for the love of storytelling.
Finally, Venom in Rangs of Power, it was only a matter of time.
The fact that HBO released the official trailer for House of Dragons 30 mins after this turd is hilarious.
I hate Amazon in general. They deserve every bit of failure they get from this. I love how when they say “an ancient evil has returned” right at the Amazon prime logo pops up.
Their content has been abit hit/miss and more misses than hits
In other news, I'm super excited for House of the dragon season 2.
Yes, that will be nice.
Me too, that's actually good.
The fact that this and Velma get a season 2 makes you lose faith in the entertainment industry
I lost faith in the entertainment industry years ago. I just watch on in amazement at how they keep finding ways to make everything worse and more laughable - it’s actually quite the achievement in itself really
Somehow Guyladriel has returned.
In Hollywood, women are the real men.
"You have not seen what i have seen" er i have and its shit 🤣
Just rewatch the original trilogy of films and you'll have a better time.
No shit sherlock
Hell, I'd rather watch the Rankin-Bass and Ralph Bakshi cartoons than The Rings of Power.
@@grimlockprime1972 I saw that once and, as awful as it was, it had an old-timey charm to it. ROP has no charm whatsoever.
You would do much better to concentrate on the original books all infinitely better than anything here
@@nessiesearcher True enough.
The Darkness doesn't bind them. The Ring will bind them. Only the Ring hasn't been made yet....
"One ring to rule them all,
one ring to find them,
One ring to bring them all
and in the darkness bind them"
The one was made after the 3 & we’ve seen the 3 made, and the 7 are being given out in the trailer … so by the time this show is set the One has been forged
@@SpecialOrder935 No. All the Rings were given out before the final one was made. He's giving out the rings that he hasn't made with the elf, sorry blanking on the name, yet. He imbues a bit of his power into every ring and then most of what remains in the final one. He'd not have enough to deceive anyone or trick them with his magic after forging the final ring.
Edit: There's way more than 7 rings. 3 to the Elves, 7 to the Dwarves, 9 to men.
Amazon presents The Wrongs of Power 2: Halbrands Boogaloo
My first reaction...WHY THE HELL IS THIS THING SO DARK! Who'd they hire to edit this the same people who did AvP Requiem.
The darkness will bind our viewers
Chinese elf. Because the Drow cotroversy from Season 1 was not strong enough.
One DEI ring to rule them all.
You need to check out the :pronouns of power from Flashgitz hilarious.
One fake wig and pointy ears to preach the message, one Asian elf to magically exist where none never have and one character assassination to screech into the dark empty forums
instant laugh when I see Galadriel handling any sort of blade
My first thought was, I hope she's done some actual combat training for this season.
"Gimme dem rangs!" "So I can flush 'em."
With the wig on, nobody will recognize him!! Sweet!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's the ring that binds them. And brings them into darkness. These people have no idea what they're doing.
The Ring is just a tool … it’s Saurons power that binds them … otherwise Frodo would have been able to command the Nazgûl
@@SpecialOrder935 Sauron's power is bound up in the ring. So, the ring is more than a tool.
@@SpecialOrder935 The rings corrupt them dragging them into darkness. Hence the writing on the One ring. One ring to rule them all and in the darkness bind them. The Nazgul don't obey the ring. They're bound to Sauron. The rings they wear corrupted them long ago already doing their job. The One rings purpose was to corrupt them with his power bringing them under his control. The Elves never wore theirs so didn't fall for it disrupting his plan to bring all of Midde Earth under his control. Since the One ring contains Sauron's power, only he can control it.
They are one.. the Ring and the dark lord
Bro it was a line spoken during trailer lol.
For those who thought season 1 had too much Tolkien.
I loved the part where Galadriel shouted "It's Morphin' time!" and she, Elrond and Cirdan held up their rings and became the Mighty Morphin Elven Rangers!
MEMBER THE WATCHER IN THE WATER??? I MEMBER!!!
Why was Venom at the start of the trailer?
Or The Blob
The part when Sauron says “It´s elvin time" and glues on pointy ears was the best part of the series.
What stunning and brave approporiation of Celtic, Gaelic, and Anglom Saxon cultures.
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all, *and in the darkness bind them*
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
Wasn't Sauron more subtle about his intentions. He came across as friendly and kind when he came bearing gifts to the men and elves of Middle Earth and treated them with respect and slowly closed his fists before the elves and men knew what was going on when he was creating his three rings for the three most powerful rings for Galadriel and the other two powerful elves with Celebrim and his main ring. The elves didn't even know for sure that he was Sauron until he made the One Ring. This Trailer just rushes through everything and ignores the books and the movies and has it where Galadriel figures it out and stops him. I would think of Sauron as very careful and sneaky in his plans of domination. The trailer is very misleading.
Never heard of Celebrim 😂 and Sauron didn’t make the 3 , “his hands never touched them or sullied them “
The only Elf kingdom that denied him was Lindon as Galadriel and Gil-Galad did not trust him
Celebrimbor created the rings. All except the 3 Elf ones were with Sauron. He created those himself. The Elves felt Sauron when he put on the One ring and removed them saving themselves from his corruption.
Edit: The One ring contains most of Sauron's power. It's why he couldn't maintain his shape once he lost it.
@@SpecialOrder935 Sorry, I meant Celebrimbor. I followed In Deep Geek and The Broken Sword and they said in their videos that Sauron was involved with the production of the 9 rings and the dwarves but Celebrimbor had already went ahead using the same techniques that Sauron had shown him without Sauron knowing about it.
I don't even feel anything watching this. Much like the Homelander in the cinema meme
The Woke does not acknowledge the difference between good and evil in storytelling. LOTR is beyond Woke comprehension.
That trailer looks so soulless. Looks & feels like a product, just content with no art or inspiration behind it.
Not wrong the lighting fir anything not lit by the sun is so dark I can't see anything.
I guess they confused Sauron with the Lich King from WoW.
Really wish Netflix didn’t nuke the Dark Crystal series that was so good
I'll just wait for the Hunt for Gollum. Lee Pace was announced to return as Thranduil(Hope that's true). We just need to hear that Sir Ian and (PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN) Viggo Mortensen are returning.
Out of all they could choose of that legendarium, they choose gollum. Same as that awful game. Why, just why
@TheWartechgaming well its something to start us off.
tbh both Ian and Viggo are too old at this point. however I don't think anyone could come close to their performances. So I'm not too excited about the anouncement of this movie.
@@MrsMacLoverDeaging?
@@peterlenham3180yeah that’s great … who doesn’t want to see more bullshit CGI
I think the reason she's screaming in the trailer is she has already seen the future and know what the ratings will be....
Jackson made Sauron into an Evil Lighthouse. Now Amazon have invented an Evil Compost Heap. How terrifying.
They fucked up the time line really badly.
This would basically be like having fully grown and experienced Rommel fighting side by side with the Germans in the Napoleonic Wars.
Just a few things.
1: The Rings of Power is Second age, the Balrog doesn´t wake up before early third age.
2: Sauron cast out without army and allies... what?!
Sauron most defiantly had an army, after tricked the elves into making the rings of power all 16 of them (the three was made without his influence), he crafted the Master Ring (and yes In The Darkness bind them is part of the ring verse).
The elves didn´t know who Anathar was (though Galadriel and Elrond did sense something off about him and refused him entry in their cities), but as as he crafted and put on the master ring they knew who he was.
The elves removed the rings from their fingers denying Sauron control over them.
Sauron was furious about that and went to war with the Elves.
He sacked Eregion and killed Celebrimbor, when he refused to tell Sauron where the three rings where located.
He then gave 9 rings to men and 7 to dwarves.
Sauron then proclaimed himself master of all living creatures.
Something that infuriated the king of Númenor.
So he marched a army that made, the earth shake in their path, to Mordor.
As he came to the gate of Sauron´s fortress Sauron came out and willingly surrendered to the king and was brought to Númenor.
There he started as a captive but quickly through lies and descet rose to the rank of advisor to the king and head priest of the worship of Melkor.
He then persuaded the king to sail towards Valinor, the undying lands of the elves.
Sauron did this by convincing the king that he would gain immortality if he conquered Valinor.
The Valar not wanting to harm the humans asked Illuvata for help.
And help Illuvata did first sinking the fleet capturing the king and his men in a cave where they live to this day, trapped until the end of time.
He then sunk Númenor and everybody still on the island died.
Sauron´s body was destroyed, though he was able to pull himself together, but unable to take a fair form afterwards.
This looks “special”
loving the content Mr H keep up the great work mate.
Sauron disguised as Halibrand disguised as an elf disguised as a merchant of magical rings. Layers upon layers of depth and deception. Genius
Based on the lore, the timing of the events, and respecting Tolkein's work, here's what I would have done with Season 1:
1) Have Celebrimbor as a main character of the show have his character arc revolve around his desire to be a great blacksmith like his grandfather Feanor who decides to set up his own elven realm in Eregion (he asks for Galadriel & Celeborn) to help in the building of it while having romantic feelings to Galadriel too!
2) While on his travels to make peace/trade with the dwarves of Khazad-hum, Celebrimbor saves a dwarf named Narvi from an orc raid, and the two start their friendship due to their blacksmith/craft skills & intrigue.
3) It turns out the orcs have a chieftain like Azog from the Hobbit who is taking orders from Sauron to amass an army to attack Eregion.
4) Due to the orc attacks, Narvi asks Celebrimbor to help him build the Doors of the Durin (their friendship leads to why the riddle became "Speak Friend and enter")
5) Sauron intrigued by Celebrimbor's craftmanship from this comes in the disguise of Annatar then and Galadriel immediately doesn't trust him
6) To earn his trust, Annatar helps Celebrimbor with the creation of the 2nd Elfstone "Elessar," which amazes Galadriel, but she rejects his romantic gesture and decides to leave Eregion with her husband Celeborn to deal wit her conflicted feelings and to avoid any further tension between her, Annatar, and Celebrimbor.
7) Brokenhearted, Celebrimbor goes on a horse ride to hunt with a small contingent of elves where Sauron orders his orc chieftain to kill Celebrimbor at the hunting grounds, which he knows is near their base camp, but thankfully Narvi along with a contingent of dwarves had tracked the orc's base camp near the Misty Mountains and follows them due to them mentioning the name "Celebrimbor" and believes their contingent is going to find him and try to kill him.
8) It is here we get a Fellowship of the Ring ambush/skirmish scale battle where the orc chieftain ambushes Celebrimbor, but Narvi comes to his aid, and duels the orc chieftain. When Narvi has the upper hand, he suddenly gets hit by mace and killed by the now revealed Sauron and trusts the orcs have killed Celebrimbor as he instructed.
9) Celebrimbor by this time is wounded, all his elf contingent is dead, and a few dwarves remain. They begin looking for Narvi and Sauron realizes they didn't kill Celebrimbor and in a "split second" he turns back into Annatar and right when Celebrimbor and the dwarves see them, he then kills the orc chieftain completely surprised by this.
10) Annatar reveals he followed Celebrimbor with a contingent of elves killed in the skirmish (dead orcs he disguised as elves with his magic) due to word that an orc base camp was nearby. He tells the remaining dwarves to take the injured Celebrimbor to Khazad-hum with Narvi's body while he would gather their dead elf comrades. However, Sauron shortly after informs the orcs to move their base camp to avoid future discovery once Narvi's funeral was over due to the surviving contingent of dwarves remaining after the skirmish.
11) Celebrimbor while skeptical of Annatar's explanation, he has no time to ponder it due to the death/funeral of his dear friend Narvi, and buries the two anvils they used to build the Doors of Durin with him to thank him for all he's done and saving his life.
12) Due to the knowledge of the orc camp being moved, Celebrimbor wishes to prepare for war in Eregion, with Annatar's approval they form the "Gwaith-i-Miridan" (the Elven-Smiths), designs show in Annatar's hands papers drawn up showing Rings. In the last scene, you get a black speech monologue by Sauron where he proclaims that he will bide his time, help the Elven Smiths create these Rings of Power, and that he will then ultimately create The One that will rule them all!
"he worms his way inside your mind, the rest of him slithers in" huh? what? I see the writing is as consistent as ever
Haha its already ratioed.
It was ........ Likes 10 k ..... Dislikes 13 k
And is now Likes 17 k ..... Dislikes 28 k
😆
All I hear as I’m watching the trailer is that song from the Batwoman TV show promos, “AHHHM A WOMAAAAHHHHNN” 🤣🤣
I have a question: Why does Sauron look evil and unhinged even in his "hidden fairest" form? Why is Galadriel saying that he has been here, if she knows that he has? Did she get hit with alzheimer?
Because he shapeshifts genius... It's known that they will be mulple people playing Sauron in the show... 🤦🏽♂️
Stop asking questions, just consume product and get excited for next product.
@@husman2007 A wig and ears isn't shape-shifting. Its a disguise you'd see in comics that nobody understands how it fools anyone. He was there last season with her so obviously she already knows he's been there.
We need midget elves too they’re gonna feel left out of the elf story 😔
Apathy is the way. I have spoken.
Plot twist the fire spirit sauron will be using ice powers in our season 2. I mean granted I didin't see it coming :D
Sauron could also become a werewolf a serpent and a vampire in the blink of an eye in the first age , controlling Elements is nothing … he was one of many who Sung Arda into existence he has unlimited power
I heard Sauron appeared multiple times in middle earth history in different disguises such as the seducer and such
😂 he’s not a sexual predator … he is the master of lies
Yes to give out the rings and cause strife between kingdoms. He's the master of lies. He appeared to the Elves in a beautiful form to distract them and make them trust him.
They're idiots for copyright blocking. They need all free press they can get.
the right quote is "...and in darkness bind them" - it's the last phrase of the enchantment on the one ring - this show is a disgrace to the IP
That poem only works if the Ring is on Saurons finger
Bilbo and Frodo could never command the Nazgûl they are bound to Sauron
@@SpecialOrder935 Ofc, the ring was bound to Sauron, no one else could have used it the way Sauron did. But the ring's temptation was a force to be reckoned with - no one could've resisted it, not even Sam (that is if you've read the books and the part when the ring tries to work on Sam). Gandalf knew it - he knew no one can use it and if they did every deed under the ring influence would turn to evil. The wisdom in Tolkien's creation is far beyond of whatever those woke show runners are trying to fart out - the fact that the IP name "Lord of the rings" is slapped on top of whatever these morons are trying to make doesn't mean anything - this is NOT real Lord of the rings.
“Nice head. Think I’ll take it”
- sauron
"Worms in the mind." Bet RFK Jr. wrote this.
5:34 I do believe I remember the show runner saying that's their version of a "wyvern".....😮💨
One wig to fool them all
One wig to hide him
One wig to trick them all
And then you cannot find him!!
Think the ice ending part is Angmar the northern parts of middle earth where it’s icy/ snow
Hopefully and they didn't get Sauron confused with the Linch King fron WoW
Sadly my best friend loved the first season. I was so disappointed
Miss Andri. Sounds like a modern character if ever I heard one.
one ring to find them, on ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
I'm standing with Sauron, destroy this middle earth!
Are they trying to conflate Mordor with the King of the North? I can't remember the name of the place, but there was an ice kingdom of the north that was ran by Sauron or one of his flunkies for a while before he sequestered himself in Mordor.
I'll be interested to see if they have managed to make these supposedly adult characters act like something other than teenagers.
The show is Sauron, coming back!
Can't wait to see PAJEETRON in Rangz of Kangz Season 2: The Electric Boogaloo. Although I'm a bit worried because I couldn't see him in this trailer (but I could smell him... in the air... I smell him in the water... the poo that was once lost... in the loo... in the street)
Wow, this is coming out. Oh boy...
I am sure the mainstream media will give this a 10/10
So Halbrand gets a Queer Eye for the Straight Guy style makeover and Galadriel , who almost got it on with him, doesn’t recognise him? ;)
Rangs Of Power Season 2 - The Fight Against MISOGYGY !!
I like the part where Galadriel shouts "Get away from her, You Bitch!" And throws the Alien Queen into Mount Doom. Epic shit.
Most exciting show of the last decade. I can’t wait to watch it, its just so bad! 😂
@Mr H Reviewds to be fair Sauron had a stronghold in the far north called Angband at this "time" if you can call amazons atrocius mess of a setting a time.
No he DIDNT, Angband was Morgoth fotress (even comanded by Sauron)destroyed after first age and defeated Morgoth and sea took it, this is second age
You propadly mean Angmar which was human lands conquered by Witch-King where he build fortress Carn-Dum...Still no second age but third age around 1300
But nothing make sense in this show
@@DominikO8O Angmar
@@wartooth88 yep but like i said, nothing in this show make sense, guyladriel is troll slaying psychopath, best smith in the world dont know how to smith iron, Númenórians, 7+fl tall supermans whos kick Saurons a$$ over and over are milenial childs what guyladriel learn how to use sword etc. so maybe its Angbad because show runers doesnt know what they doin
Did Amazon really recast Sauron to a DEI hire only to have to go back to the original actor from Season 1? The actor for Sauron looks like the same guy from Season 1, Charlie Vickers.
The Sniw fortress could be Angmar
it’s the foundation of Barad-Dur which where built with the power of the One Ring
Am I the only one who would be up for a Rings of power explained video?
OOOoooOoo a bridge collapse never seen that! the actors look cg sometimes
So sauron is now an elf...next season he will be a dwarf....
Tolkien: "One ring to rule them all. One ring to find them. One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them."
Amazon: Darkness will bind them (or something, whatever)
How did they get a second season ? did the first season didn't bombed enough ?
Amazon is too prideful to admit failure. Theyd rather see this show burn than to admit they're wrong.
@@markgregorygacosta531why did they buy full rights to second age
Whenever someone says Mordor, I hear "Ramble On." It's a curse and a blessing.
At the end there, I think Sauron is creating an explosion in Eregion, when the Elves realise Annatar is Sauron
Well…let’s see if Amazon learned their lesson.
I suspect they haven’t.😂
It's honestly a good trailer. The thing that's bad about it are the characters and storylinea are from the first season. I don't mind different races playing fantasy creatures, but it's the execution of it. Make it look good is all
Darkness shall bind them into a white ring which will consume all. It's called a toilet.... Toilet of power.
Season 2 - We Wore Rangs and Shiet...
I was encouraged by the lack of Harfoot footage, but there they are in the description of the video...
Come on. Even if Galadriel should not be an highlight in this one either, it look better and more interesting than S1. The Sauron plot line look cool and fun! :)
Don't forget folks....
In this version, Sauron only exists because Galadriel didn't wanna date him.
Woot.
He simply walked into Mordor, you see.
I guess since Saurbrard went to the Hairparlor in Middle Earth he thought he'd give Mordor a makover too, from fire to ice, not very original.
looks like they wanting to turn mordor into Icecrown from WOW lol
It's already ratio'd. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ahh this is gonna be in your guy’s heads for awhile and I’m hear for it lol🤣🍿.gonna be in Mr. H’s head for a min as well😂

Can't wait for convenience store elves and Aboriginal elves and ...
Why didn't they give the Asian Elf nunchucks ?

It’s just the same actor with a blonde wig and no beard 😂😂
I am literally 50/50 on that series. I watch 50% with interest and 10sec forward the rest
United Elves of Benetton
I feel it's a scam trailer to disguise what's really in the show.
Well anything not lit by the sun was so freakin dark I would be surprised if they are hiding crap because I can't see half thus trailer even with contrast turned up.
