That turned out great, nice work!
@@TimWelds thanks Tim 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Awesome. I got into welding to increase my ability to do my automotive work. This project looks like a way to tap into fabrication. Thanks for the info
Definitely thin like auto body stuff!
time to build a smoker!
Ain’t nothing to it but to do it
I've always wanted to build a beer keg grill. Thankfully i saved a 55 gallon water tank for a future build.
All I’ll say, this thin stuff was a pain!
@@AustinHargett thankfully I believe my tank is at least 3/16 inch thick aluminum. I hate to lug it around in my move but I can't resist a good future project.
@@thinkingimpaired5663that’s a good piece of scrap!
Excellent tutorial along with great workmanship young man. Really enjoyed watching. Thank you.
Thank you for the support 🤜🏼🤛🏼
I appreciate the educational content and is really useful, more for those looking or working for critically structural jobs but every once in a while this kind of builds a lot of fun to watch and follow.
Nicely done. Thanks in part to the claction 😂
😂😂😂😂
love the projects, please post more
This is a cool project. Makes me want to buy a keg and make one for myself. The amount of info you gave to figure out the angles and degree was useful. Thanks for the idea 🔥
Are we ignoring the Terminator Bambi that being built on the the table?
Nailed it!!!!
Thanks!
Great video, I just wanted to touch on the pressure part. I used to refill these kegs for my homebrew, on the end the ball is just held in there with a flat spring steel clamp that you can CAREFULLY remove with two flathead screwdrivers and then the ball connection and whole spear comes out thus relieving all the pressure.
Inspiring build though I may have to source some materials for this
Thanks! Should’ve done it that way. I got a lot of pressure out.. not enough to prevent a nice beer fart to the face
-"Honey, I got to get an Esab Rebel."
-"Why? What's wrong with the Everlast Hurricane you just bought?"
-"It's set-up for stainless."
Happy July 4th!
Haha that’s pretty accurate, didn’t wanna have to switch spools. 😅
That's sweet and a good idea 💡
Thanks!
Nice build. I dig scavenger hunting. Usually in my backyard. Keep a tinkering...
Got to!
I'm always looking for cool things to make I may give one of those a shot thanks for the idea and demo on how to build it wish me luck Lol!!!
You betcha!
can i pet that dawwwg!
Great video
Entertaining
Ok like 💙 👍
Great job explaining how to make a grill cost effectively. I saw a bunch or cutting torches in your shop. How many cutting torches do you have?
I have one torch for icy fuel and two plasmas
@@AustinHargett Look at 15:16. You have a pile of torches on the floor.
@@user-ms3qq1eh2b haha ohhhh thoooose torches. I have nooo idea how many are there. There are buckets more next to those. I’m building that there white tail deer sculpture on my table with them. They were donated
Could you post the links for the awesome cone and circle sanding deals?
🌭🔥
You could simplify that math.
90 degrees is 1/4 of 360.
49/4=12.25
Im a home shop mud dauber and don't have much stainless experience. Any issues using a plasma torch on stainless? thanks, loved the video.
Cut a little on the outside of your lines. The plasma cutter will burn the metal and you'll need to grind back into good stainless afterwards
Cut off wheel is better. Stainless doesn’t like the oxygen in the air and has really hard dross that eats up abrasives. Cut off wheel makes a nice clean cut.
It cuts it with just a little more needed amps. But like these guys said, you’ll need to grind the dross off to weld it
you should be able to cut stainless with ease with a plazma cutter.
That's awesome. But to buy all the tools you used to make that would cost anyone else a bunch more than you paid for the material. Wish I had a work shop like yours.
Very interesting project and very good tips, thank you.
@@andyb7754 you betcha!
Great project. All you have to do now is work in metric units like the rest of the world...
Maybe one day when is Americans revolt and go back to England
Sorry. We can’t and won’t do that. We’re stubborn and are unwilling to change. Kind regards.
I talk a lot of shit on your videos, but I have to give attaboys where due. This is a cool build, and you didn't act like a clown, which is the best part of this video.
Keep build videos like this coming, and throw in more serious educational videos, and you just might make me a fan.
Thanks man. We hear yall, the goofy stuff is over with. Just cool stuff and education

308 MIG wire? Should be 309 for welding carbon to stainless steel
You’re lucky that ring didn’t blow up in ya face. Any time you work with kegs you need to properly remove the stem before cutting/welding on it. They can be pressurized relatively significantly.
Jo and the Ho need to go
