Hi Andrew, I camped at Blind Tarn about 5 years ago (I was 60) it was summer, sat out drinking beer and watching fish jumping in the tarn. In the morning the tarn was like a mirror, so still. Brilliant place to camp. Thanks for the videos.
An excellent camp...its great to see all the old mines, I would love to photograph many if them and the equipment left behind. Superb pitch ..many thanks and best wishes
Wow what a beautiful view and drop! I must admit my fear of heights is steadily going, but not for that, however I appreciate Andrew you getting these wonderful shots and views on camera. As usual great adventure. Thankyou for sharing!
Nice looking tent ! I've done that route in reverse, quite a few times...it makes for a cracking day in full winter conditions. Last time I did it, I think it was a section between Buck and Dow was just a sheet of clear ice for about 30yds. It was like walking over a frozen pond! Great video as always. Thanks for sharing 👍

haha good job i can read how i speyk in't it...ayy not putting hot water straight on't coffee bag i give it 5 mins to cool & tha reyt it does make a difference.. poles i use mainly when descending help with weight bearing on knee's,ill use occasionally when ascending if on steep ground. blue hoody is from senchi designs..great clobber..
Enjoyed the views, the chat, the inspiration and look forward to your thoughts on that interesting shelter. Not a make I've come across before but an interesting design for the weight.
Love it mate.. new tent looks great. I did a route up there a month or so ago… all clag so not many views, so i’ll deffo be back up there at some point!
Hi Andrew, I use the Big Sky DreamSleeper pillow - inside a merino wool buff. It’s the best pillow I’ve found so far and folds up to a tiny size and weighs so little. Good kit and the customer service is excellent.
That tent's a new one on me. Looks pretty good though, I guess you'll find out over the next little while. We're going to be spending a week in Coniston aiming to knock of as many Wainwrights as we can in that area so your route looks to be a good start. Cracking video again, Thanks for sharing. And 8 hours sleep? wish I could manage that. ATB, Roger
8 hrs is a regular sleep for me when camping in winter..i certainly dont need to be awake all night listening to wind thats for sure..ill be using the tent a lot into winter so we'll see how that goes.
I hope you give that tent a really good blasting Andy because i have been looking at these since i seen Scott do his review on it but i am a bit hesitant now that Scott has come over to the Dark side with his new Hilly and streamlined his tent collection. Mostly wondering if the lighter weight is going to match the performance of a Soulo or if there will be any advantages other than saving some weight but from what close up pictures i have seen so far i think i would prefer to stick with the Soulo for those windy forecasted nights unless your opinion can sway my coin collection !!!!!!
i plan on some good winter camps olan get some good frosty snowy camps in..structure wise yeah its not a soulo but its not a million miles off..at 1.4kg its certainly lighter & some of the features i like a lot over what the soulo has,,double vestibule & its also bigger inside.. personally now my outings are there to enjoy & not endure..sitting in a tent for possibly 16 hours while a gale blows outside & no sleep is not my idea of fun these days..
its lighter for a starter..not the same room inside as the voyager but you make do with what you have..chinook has two vestibules which i like boots & pack in one cooking etc in other which is something i like..the chinook will be more stable too in wind given its construction..
Lovely trip and smart looking tent. Enjoyed this one especially the part where you climbed down to the gap in the rocks. Always such a pleasure to watch. Thanks Andy, see ya ont’ next un’ 🌙 ✨BW Sarah
nice area up there sarah you get that craggy mountain feel..its a lot steeper in that gully than it looks you've to be real careful when venturing in there..
Tents looks pretty solid Andy will have to take a look at the size cus im a lanky wide bogger and as you know there aint many tents that fit the taller rate , unless your Messner of course he can fit in owt lol. Views on top looks great with sun light shining down. What do you reckon to tent then.? Cheers for the vid mate. 👍
Looks a great tent. . . . I saw that ridge you pointed out. It's on my list of a few odd spots. Wonder who will get there first?! 😂 ..... Dow Crag is a dangerous place. If I do that pitch I'll include a story from when I nearly died many moons ago on a scramble...😮.... Nice film again mate. Not many flat pitches there huh! I think you may have been a few meters above where I did my film earlier in the year. Keep it Up Andy 👍
yeah its a tempting one that john i think a reccy might be in order first it certainly looks a good spot from afar...the pitch i was on there was a pretty good one tbh nice & flat..
@@AndrewBeavers room for two I'd join you. ....Now you've filmed it I may feel bad going first 😎😂 I'm thinking of looking at it in the snow even. But the trouble is I've too many places on my list 😂. Gonna try get to the lakes more this season, my summer has been awful

The colour co-ordination on this bed chat is not lost on me. It’s elite! 👌🏼
Nice hike in beautiful landscapes. The Tent looks really good. Thanks for the great watch.Have a wonderful day. 😊
I camped there last year and it was fantastic, did all 8 Wainwrights in that area the following day. Absolutely class.
Lovely area and a place I need to visit. The tent looks very nice. Thanks for uploading the video.
Another great vid. That cloud action at the end was worth waiting for, stunning, thanks for sharing 🙏🙏

Cracking route Andy! Getting into the throws of the best wild camping season now too 😁
Tent looks a belter!

yeah looking forward to some frost & snow now..
Thanks for another great film Andrew. I recently went up Higger Tor in the Peaks, very changeable weather, but it tested out some clothing.
A pleasure to watch...as always.
Enjoyed the views, the chat, the inspiration and look forward to your thoughts on that interesting shelter. Not a make I've come across before but an interesting design for the weight.

Hi Andrew . . How's this new tent compare to the Voyager used in your previous videos ?
its lighter for a starter..not the same room inside as the voyager but you make do with what you have..chinook has two vestibules which i like boots & pack in one cooking etc in other which is something i like..the chinook will be more stable too in wind given its construction..
8 hours kip in a tent mate, that’s a gift, usually get 2-3 if I’m lucky.
Cracking vid Andy
Did you buy the tent off Lone Explorer? Haha! Don't see very many of those.
i did yes id liked it when i first saw scott use it so when he mentioned he was willing to sell it i didnt hesitate.
I’ll watch this proper once home. I’m sure it’ll be as good as usual. But noticed the shelter in thumbnail - Did you buy that one off of Scott?
i did yes..didnt hesitate when he mentioned he was willing to sell it.

no secret it'll get a lot of use over winter.
How was the tent?
