It's actually 168mm for petrol with 16inch tyres..one thing that you have to keep in your mind is that vento's suspension is little bit stiffer than its competitors, so while on a bump even with 5people (average weight of 70 kgs ) the springs won't compress like others and scratch the underbody. Hi, I am planning to buy 1.0 TSI Edition Vento launched recently. I have heard about high maintenance costs and low fuel efficiency of VW. Now, I came across some reviews which tell the life of TSI or turbo engines are not that great compared to naturally aspirated engines. More than maintenance costs, engine reliability has been my concern..if it can last for 9-10 years since I plan to use it for long-term and after-sale value won't be great. Should I switch back to Verna 2020 diesel/petrol -which is more costly than Vento anyways? I liked Vento given its safety features and VW global brand value but hearing some negative reviews about TSI engines has confused me. Please give some suggestions to help me decide.
I own a 1.2 TSI and vw now has launched 1.0 tsi which is one cylinder less but the horsepower has increased 5 bhp and the torque remains the same, now also they have removed the dsg gearbox and introduced torque converter. downsizing the engine and to increase the horsepower or to even maintain the same horsepower two things must be done 1- improve turbo capacity by putting a large turbo 2 to improve the fuel injection system significantly. doing the second point is a little cost involving and instead increasing the turbo capacity is easier on pockets. i personally have heard people who do proper maintenance to have their vw's run for more than 2 lakh kilometers, with some minor workshop jobs. if a maruti runs more than 2 lakh killometers then after 1.5 itself there must be a complete engine haulup. Vw has now gone with torque converter because this will decrease the service costs significantly thats about 1500rs less than the dsg models per service. each service for me costs around 14k on average per year or 15000 kms . do the math and compare it with maruti /hyundai it will be in par. i can ensure you that tsi engines can easily last upto 10years without major hiccups. one thing you must be concerned is the new gearbox on its performance, coz torque converters are linear in power delivery, lacks the thrill according to me. i havent driven it yet and this month end only the showroom gets its first vehicle. once i drive the car and get a feel i will surely post a video about it.
@@harikrishnasenthilkumar5853 Thank you for so much insight and your detailed response to help me understand the new TSI engine better. It was highly informative for someone like me. Cabin is luxurious and very roomy and this beige interior adds roomy sense too and under thigh support is great. People say it’s not updated old looking bla bla. Just ignore those people. This is a classic look. Personally I like it. Other manufacturers give more features and lower price to attract more buyers but compromise on build quality, safety and engine performance and vw is other way around focused fully on quality and safety. Build to last longer. Imo capacity of the engine is no biggie, tuning matters. I’m planning to book it next week.

I need your ideas how was the performance of the vento TSI petrol now situation it's worth or not. Waiting for your reply
bro 21 kmpl that they say is completely out of the charts. what you will get is around 13 kmpl on average for automatic version. vento is a little longer in wheel base because of which the stability and comfort from chassis will be superior to ameo. But if you are coming from a diesel ameo then vento tsi will be very much comfortable, one thing to mention is still the reliabilty and performance of the torque converter is not analyzed yet. So please wait for another 3 months by the time the reviews for the new automatic transmission will be out. if you go for vento manual you will average 14 kmpl if you drive peacefully and if you race it will drop upto 9kmpl. feel free to reach out if you have any doubts still.

Kushaq DSG is well calibrated for Indian conditions and seem to improve the reliability. Most of the old problems in DSG were fixed after 2017 and later. I am driving Vento 1.2TSI DSG. You might need to change the DSG clutch after 70k-1lakh kms. Clutch will wear out after long usage (similar to any manual gear clutch). But DSG clutch is expensive to replace than manual clutch. Do remember to be gentle in low traffic. Clutch will last longer. DSGs are expensive to repair as they are engineering marvels and has lot of tech in it. For me it is still worth it as the driving pleasure is unmatchable. So if you buy a car with DSG, be prepared for the worst case scenario (which might not happen during your ownership). If you want reliability and low maintenance, choose Kushaq 1.0TSI-auto or 1.5TSI manual.
external noise is very well contained, engine noise is also dampenend due to the padding in the bonnet. if you go for the 16 inch version the initial tyre which vw offers(apollo/good year) will be okayish in noise levels and comfort. 16 incher wheel is excellent in handling dynamics, 15 inch is better for comfort and has a little compromise in handling which wont be a great deal for someone like a city commuter. suspension by itself is focused towards better high speed stability and handling , its not as smooth as say honda city but better than the cars under 13lakh rupees.

Engine is alright..but look out for reviews of automatic gearbox..I don't think it will be good as dsg. If you are okay with manual and in need of a driver's car blindly go for vento.
Hello, I want to buy second hand vento. I don't know much about vw cars. I m confused between 1.2 tsi and 1.6 petrol. Which will be better? Consider all parameters. Please answer in English. I don't understand tamil.
You can opt for 1.2 tsi if it's under 30000kms and if you genuinely know that person, usually people will sell 1.2 tsi very quickly after they rash drive it. Buy 1.2 tsi if the first owner is upgrading . 1.6 petrol is good upto 50000 kilometres . 1.6 is a manual transmission and 1.2 is dsg. 1.2 tsi will give more mileage than 1.6 petrol manual. Hope it answers your doubts and feel free to ask back if any queries left.
my experience was an average one sir, one guy tried to cheat me once and I made a complaint against him to the corporate team and they took care of the matter well. after which when i visted for the next service I was dealt properly and after that iam having a postive experience. i would have explained it in detail but keeping in mind that this is a public forum iam not mentioning the full details. one thing is for sure, they treated me like a 12th std guy who doesnt know a thing about cars and service , mind that i was 23 years old mechanical engineer at that time. long story short moral: Be awake all the time and dont believe blindly. if you do so no need to worry about a first class cheater.
Really? I understand opinion differs from people to people. Still, do you really think Vento has a Good Interior. It is very dated, bro... City has one of the best interior in Sedan cars...
TDI - turbocharged direct injection MPI - Multi point injection TDI gives more power and Torque because it Direct injects fuel into cylinders. Whereas in MPI fuel is injected outside the cylinders usually near valves. Higher end variants of all cars will use TDI/TSI ..whereas entry level models will have MPI.
It's average only bro.. I have had bad experience here in Coimbatore service center. One thing you have to keep in mind is you should do service with Volkswagen only until the warranty period gets over and then only you can service with third party service centers. Not at all ,coz it gives very less mileage. Indha vandi sporty feel kaaga build pannadhu..so comfort and mileage andha alavukku irukkaadhu, also maintenance adhigam. Toyota Etios would be a good option.
Suspension is on the stiffer side ,which helps in high speed and cornering braking stability. It won't be as smooth as honda city/ ciaz. Dsg performance is on point bro..no issues till date, and still like a new car. Overall fit and finish , ageing of car has been very good.

Looking for buying.. That's why I am asking
Bro I just bought vento comfortline..locking system.. can unlock the door from inside even central locked ..isit all German r Europeans car same locking system?
I am planning to buy a vento 1.0 TSI Comfortline petrol may I know the milage of this car
It's the same as 1.2 tsi ..on average 1.2 tsi while driving normally gives 13kmpl where as 1.0 tsi may give 14 kmpl..and when you rashly drive it may drop upto 9.5 kmpl ... maximum 17 kmpl you will get.
Go for the rapid rider edition instead
Bro my name is hari planning to buy 2020 vento worth it? Or any other decision from you becoz bs6 engine plzz suggest me
Engine is alright..but look out for reviews of automatic gearbox..I don't think it will be good as dsg. If you are okay with manual and in need of a driver's car blindly go for vento.
@@harikrishnasenthilkumar5853 yeah sure
@@harikrishnasenthilkumar5853 thanks for your suggestion hari
Ok bro thanks for your video good
Hello, I want to buy second hand vento.

Hi.... how is the service at Volkswagen coimbatore ( Ramani volkswagen)? Thanks..
my experience was an average one sir, one guy tried to cheat me once and I made a complaint against him to the corporate team and they took care of the matter well. after which when i visted for the next service I was dealt properly and after that iam having a postive experience.
i would have explained it in detail but keeping in mind that this is a public forum iam not mentioning the full details.
one thing is for sure, they treated me like a 12th std guy who doesnt know a thing about cars and service , mind that i was 23 years old mechanical engineer at that time.
long story short moral: Be awake all the time and dont believe blindly. if you do so no need to worry about a first class cheater.

Interior is too good in Vento.. Better than city!
Really? I understand opinion differs from people to people. Still, do you really think Vento has a Good Interior. It is very dated, bro... City has one of the best interior in Sedan cars...

Literally the difference of vw and skoda is the logo
Back in 2017 there was actually a difference in top end models.. skoda offered 6speed dsg but vento got 7 speed dsg.

Its great for the first video... Keep going ... Waiting for more reviews about various cars..😉
Bro tdi or mpi what different pls
TDI - turbocharged direct injection
MPI - Multi point injection
TDI gives more power and Torque because it Direct injects fuel into cylinders.
Whereas in MPI fuel is injected outside the cylinders usually near valves.
Higher end variants of all cars will use TDI/TSI ..whereas entry level models will have MPI.
What do you think about fiat linea sir..?
I couldn't get hold of a linea for reviews.I haven't driven it personally, as far as i heard it's a great car.

It's average only bro.. I have had bad experience here in Coimbatore service center. One thing you have to keep in mind is you should do service with Volkswagen only until the warranty period gets over and then only you can service with third party service centers. Suspension is on the stiffer side ,which helps in high speed and cornering braking stability. It won't be as smooth as honda city/ ciaz. Dsg performance is on point bro..no issues till date, and still like a new car. Overall fit and finish , ageing of car has been very good.
