Sorry, but not sorry. I've read Enoch and many other apocryphal texts and they didn’t run me away from the Lord, they actually drew me closer to Him. My understanding opened up a lot more. Like all things, I read them with a grain of salt and I let Holy Spirit show me what was for me and the importance of each one. The Spirit of the Lord will not let you be deceived!!!
I think the fact that Jude clearly read it is proof enough that there is nothing wrong with reading it. Personally I think we should just read it without necessarily taking everything as pure fact. I have no doubt there is truth in it

I've read this book three times it blows my mind. Pastors have told me never to read it. I've read that one and I've read the book of jasher and the book of jubilees all these books are very interesting.
So Jasher is a pharasaic book wanting to be scripture and authoritative. The Hebrew word Yashar ישר simply means righteous. It’s in the name of Israel ישראל YaSHaREL, the righteous of God. So there is no book called jasher, it’s simply a book called righteous or upright, or a righteous book. Jasper was not found among the DSS but jubilees was. Jubilees is said to be part of the Torah and has many examples that it used to be. Jubilees is the righteous book that was removed from the Bible do to the Pharisees hating the calendar and wanting to be interpreters of the law instead of the priests. Jubilees explicitly uses the Enoch calendar and has a huge emphasis on the Torah which is why the Pharisees threw it out, it threatens their authority. Jubilees holds Enoch and his book in high regard along with many essential details prior to the exodus for timeline purposes. As well as a chronological order of events that the genesis narrative does not follow, and can be proven by keeping track of certain peoples ages at certain times when events occur. Jubilees is true book Jasher is not, for many reasons. Especially evasive if lines up a lot with the Targums which also was edited by the Pharisees.

Enoch’s book was preserved on the arc through the flood. The book of Jude mentions Enoch’s book. I don’t see anything in Enoch that contradicts scripture. It adds details to events recorded in scripture.

Based on the comments, many still don’t understand what the pastor just said about the book. The authors are unknown, because Jude quotes a passage from the book, doesn’t necessarily mean that the entire writing is authentic or reliable, and lastly, it isn’t included in the Cannon of scripture, because God says so via the Holy Spirit’s guiding our forefathers, as to what books should be included.
This is not true. Saying we don't know for sure who the author is is not a consistent standard, for example, we don't know for sure who the author of Genesis is. Additionally, the book of Enoch is a part of the The Orthodox Tewahedo biblical canon. Did you know that this idea of Cannon worship was not around in the early church; because there was no Cannon? The Cannon is not your God. You have one teacher, Jesus the Messiah, let His spirit guide you into all truth; He is faithful.

If you want some people defend the book of First Enoch but they reject the added accounts like the supposive 2nd Enoch or 3rd Enoch which I heard turns Enoch into metatron which oc.cult and unscriptural. The first book of Enoch is not the same as 2nd and 3rd. Do not conflate them. 1st book of Enoch adds GREAT detail to that which is noted in Genesis 1-6.The 2nd and 3rd books of Enoch are pure mysticism...

I came across a guy on RUclips called Trey Smith, of God in a nutshell, and he goes into great detail about the Nephilim. I would strongly suggest looking him up. His research is Year's worth of studies of the Nephilim and Enoch.

The Book of Enoch teaches that Phanuel is set over the repentance unto hope of those who inherit eternal life (Enoch 40:1-6) and that Enoch is the Messiah (Chp. 70), That is not the gospel.

You know the Pharisees twisted the scripture in the same way? Your view of 40 is myopic, you totally fail to mention the fact that there are 4 presences at the throne uttering praises who sleep not; which is exactly what is described in Revelation 4:8. You also fail to mention in Enoch 40 how it literally is talking about the "Elect One" and his "Elect Ones" which is a direct reference to Jesus the Messiah. Phanuel's (one of the four living creatures) praises are set over "the repentance unto hope". This is NOT saying that Phanuel is himself in charge of repentance as you are twisting it to say. In chapter 70, you fail to mention the fact that there is a missing passage that describes the "Son of Man" and then the angel describes this "Son of Man" as Jesus is described in Isiah and elsewhere, i.e that passage is talking about Jesus the Messiah, not Enoch. Nowhere in that passage does it even mention that Enoch is the messiah at all.

That's interesting.. because 1 thing that stood out to me, was how in Enoch, it says Jesus comes with 10,000s of his holy ones. I think 1 Enoch is fine to read as a historical document/account. The fact that it was in the Dead Sea scrolls I feel validates it a bit more as well. When I was looking into 2 and 3 Enoch awhile back I feel like the Holy Spirit was telling me NO NO AVOID but did not feel that conviction with 1 Enoch at all. There’s a book out there that I haven’t read yet but it contains Genesis, Jubilees, Jasher and 1 Enoch and fills in all the extreme details and backstory of that time. Might be worth checking out someday.
The question though. Which Enoch book are you talking about? First Enoch? He made sure the gospel was still true in its form even without the missing books in the current canon. But they most certainly belong there.

Thanks for an informative video. I read the Book of Enoch last year as part of my Biblical studies. Its always fun to debate these subjects, but if you're really interested read the books. Its not a difficult read. If you're a Christian, and your faith is strong The Lord will guide you.

I have just recently read this Book and it brings much understanding to the hierarchy to Gods Kingdom of Heaven and the war between God and Satan and the fallen angels. By doing so it also illuminates the similar hierarchy of Satan as he always tries to copy God. Enoch is a book to be read only after being firmly grounded in the other 66 books, especially the Gospels, and also having been gifted with supernatural discernment.

Daniel did mention the decree of the watchers. The book of Joshua also references the book of Jasher. Jasher tells same story as Enoch, but I think it was older.

Ken Johnson does a lot on the Dead Sea scrolls and works to make sure they are accurate or is similar to canon. If I remember correctly Ethiopian Enoch and Dead Sea scrolls Enoch are very similar. Some Enoch’s are off. We have canon but others can be used for history.

I felt the first book gave me a lot of insight about the days of Noah and the condition of the world at that time and even led me to understand the mercy and grace of God more. Very informative video without spending hours to explain it for my short attention span. I always felt it can’t have been me at to be in the Bible because God would have made sure it was if it was meant to be, but this video gives me peace that I was discerning correctly. I have friends who are getting into ‘Christian mysticism’ and one follows a well known’mystic’ who believes aliens built the pyramids and uses the book of Enoch to support his theory. I tried to watch a bit of his videos as I wanted to see what she is into BUT my spirit was screaming at me to turn it off. Groups like The God Culture heavily defend it with their positioning and researched notes studying how First Enoch fits perfectly into scripture and how it ultimately complements both Genesis and Jubilees and they as well complement First Enoch in return. TGC has videos covering First Enoch in depth and not on the surface level but also it's place in history. Besides it consistently shows the origin of demonic spirits and rebukes the occult. Any other added accounts like 2nd enoch or 3rd aren't consistent with scripture.

Wow. With all due respect... This was disappointing and inaccurate. If you would like more accurate information, I invite you to take a few minutes to read this through... The same Holy Spirit that woke me up from my religion led me to the Dead Sea Scrolls (Which there are multiple copies of Enoch within them)... The Body of Christ needs to have a discussion on the Bible with regards to the Dead Sea Scrolls. Alot of credible scripture has been left out and that's why the Scrolls aren't talked about. It would force us to change. If we aren't willing to give up Pagan holidays like Christmas & Easter though, I guess that shows how people really feel about Yahweh. It shows we will put our own personal feelings and culture over his direct commands to STAY AWAY from ANY form of PAGAN worship. The Dead Sea Scrolls not only confirm many of the Bible books we have but give us CLEAR and indisputable insight that many of the books were among those the Apostles likely read. Our Bible is of Catholic origin due to being created at the Coucil of Rome. Council of Nicea ushered in the blatantly Pagan tradition Easter. These are all facts that are easily researchable. We need to really examine if we should listen to a religion that made idol & pagan worship in Christianity appear acceptable. The Dead Sea Scrolls are older than the Masoretic Texts(what is currently used to support the Bible) so I respectfully disagree with Vlad due to their being MULTIPLE copies of the book of Enoch found preserved. Jubiblees was also among the top scrolls found in which there was a plentiful amount of among other scrolls excluded from what we know as our Canon. Our Bible has 66 books in it. Among Bible scholars, its generally agreed upon that the number 6 scripturally refers to incomplete or not being complete. Also representative of mans sinful nature or a lacking of sorts. And if that sounds crazy, then let me just say this... the Bible we read is a compilation of words from ANOINTED Christians that we regard since they were influenced by what.... Holy Spirit! I've read this book three times it blows my mind. Pastors have told me never to read it. I've read that one and I've read the book of jasher and the book of jubilees all these books are very interesting.

So Jasher is a pharasaic book wanting to be scripture and authoritative. The Hebrew word Yashar ישר simply means righteous. It’s in the name of Israel ישראל YaSHaREL, the righteous of God. So there is no book called jasher, it’s simply a book called righteous or upright, or a righteous book.
Jasper was not found among the DSS but jubilees was. Jubilees is said to be part of the Torah and has many examples that it used to be. Jubilees is the righteous book that was removed from the Bible do to the Pharisees hating the calendar and wanting to be interpreters of the law instead of the priests. Jubilees explicitly uses the Enoch calendar and has a huge emphasis on the Torah which is why the Pharisees threw it out, it threatens their authority. Jubilees holds Enoch and his book in high regard along with many essential details prior to the exodus for timeline purposes. As well as a chronological order of events that the genesis narrative does not follow, and can be proven by keeping track of certain peoples ages at certain times when events occur.
Jubilees is true book Jasher is not, for many reasons. Especially evasive if lines up a lot with the Targums which also was edited by the Pharisees.

Based on the comments, many still don’t understand what the pastor just said about the book. The authors are unknown, because Jude quotes a passage from the book, doesn’t necessarily mean that the entire writing is authentic or reliable, and lastly, it isn’t included in the Cannon of scripture, because God says so via the Holy Spirit’s guiding our forefathers, as to what books should be included.

This is not true. Saying we don't know for sure who the author is is not a consistent standard, for example, we don't know for sure who the author of Genesis is. Additionally, the book of Enoch is a part of the The Orthodox Tewahedo biblical canon. Did you know that this idea of Cannon worship was not around in the early church; because there was no Cannon? The Cannon is not your God. You have one teacher, Jesus the Messiah, let His spirit guide you into all truth; He is faithful.

What I find kind of fascinating is the fact that the Ethiopian Orthodox have included it, and the fact they have monolithic churches that are older than the St. Peter's basillica. The Book of Enoch teaches that Phanuel is set over the repentance unto hope of those who inherit eternal life (Enoch 40:1-6) and that Enoch is the Messiah (Chp. 70), That is not the gospel.

You know the Pharisees twisted the scripture in the same way? Your view of 40 is myopic, you totally fail to mention the fact that there are 4 presences at the throne uttering praises who sleep not; which is exactly what is described in Revelation 4:8. You also fail to mention in Enoch 40 how it literally is talking about the "Elect One" and his "Elect Ones" which is a direct reference to Jesus the Messiah. Phanuel's (one of the four living creatures) praises are set over "the repentance unto hope". This is NOT saying that Phanuel is himself in charge of repentance as you are twisting it to say. In chapter 70, you fail to mention the fact that there is a missing passage that describes the "Son of Man" and then the angel describes this "Son of Man" as Jesus is described in Isiah and elsewhere, i.e that passage is talking about Jesus the Messiah, not Enoch. Nowhere in that passage does it even mention that Enoch is the messiah at all.

I think 1 Enoch is fine to read as a historical document/account. The fact that it was in the Dead Sea scrolls I feel validates it a bit more as well. When I was looking into 2 and 3 Enoch awhile back I feel like the Holy Spirit was telling me NO NO AVOID but did not feel that conviction with 1 Enoch at all. There’s a book out there that I haven’t read yet but it contains Genesis, Jubilees, Jasher and 1 Enoch and fills in all the extreme details and backstory of that time. Might be worth checking out someday.

The book of Enoch was found in the same cave with Isaiah in the dead sea scrolls. It, among other books, need to be put BACK into the canon. The devil has hidden the word of God from us long enough. The fear of God is in the book of Enoch and the devil don't want you to have that. Go read it if you haven't.

@@angelabratton3668 Perhaps you should go learn your history. The book of Enoch used to be in the canon but was removed. He's not powerless. And God isn't stupid either. He made sure the gospel was still true in its form even without the missing books in the current canon. But they most certainly belong there.

Because when they returned from the Catholic church they took out 6 books which the Catholic and Orthodox versions have 72 books in it. And the council of Nicea before that removed books from the canon as well one of which was the book of Enoch.

I have just recently read this Book and it brings much understanding to the hierarchy to Gods Kingdom of Heaven and the war between God and Satan and the fallen angels.
By doing so it also illuminates the similar hierarchy of Satan as he always tries to copy God.
Enoch is a book to be read only after being firmly grounded in the other 66 books, especially the Gospels, and also having been gifted with supernatural discernment.
They made sense i love these books. They fill gaps in on everything.

Daniel did mention the decree of the watchers. The book of Joshua also references the book of Jasher. Jasher tells same story as Enoch, but I think it was older.

Ken Johnson does a lot on the Dead Sea scrolls and works to make sure they are accurate or is similar to canon. If I remember correctly Ethiopian Enoch and Dead Sea scrolls Enoch are very similar. Some Enoch’s are off. We have canon but others can be used for history.
Great video. Been wanting to know about the book of Enoch but I never read it because I got an uneasy feeling about it and now I know that it’s not accurate that helps. Enoch is an important read if you want a deep understanding of scripture. It may not be inspired but God allowed the authors of scripture to reference ancient writings.

It’s not only referenced in Jude but also 2 Peter 2. I came across this video bc I was researching where Peter and Jude knew of this deep darkness bc I didn’t know of anywhere in old testament where this is mentioned.

I think First Enoch is inspired. Especially since it is available to read more so in this generation that explains alot.
I felt the first book gave me a lot of insight about the days of Noah and the condition of the world at that time and even led me to understand the mercy and grace of God more. Very informative video without spending hours to explain it for my short attention span. I always felt it can’t have been me at to be in the Bible because God would have made sure it was if it was meant to be, but this video gives me peace that I was discerning correctly. I have friends who are getting into ‘Christian mysticism’ and one follows a well known’mystic’ who believes aliens built the pyramids and uses the book of Enoch to support his theory. I tried to watch a bit of his videos as I wanted to see what she is into BUT my spirit was screaming at me to turn it off. I felt such confusion come over me and spent days seeking God about it and He said - what has been the fruit of you looking into all this? I realised it’s been confusion. That isn’t God.
The book of Enoch was found amongst the Dead Sea scrolls alongside the book of Isaiah, Daniel, Psalms and many others. If all those books were substantiated by the Dead Sea scrolls discovery, it's still unclear why scholars don't want to accept Enoch also. When pastor Vlad mentioned that there are hybrid humans that are devouring God people. I can't help to think about all of the atrocities that afro indigenous people have been experiencing for centuries till this day. As a black person, I definitely feel that there's been a group trying to destroy us since the transatlantic slave trade. 🧐
I respect you Vlad but there are objective Bible researchers who read scripture and study history and support the book of First Enoch along with Jubilees being part of the Biblical canon. Groups like The God Culture heavily defend it with their positioning and researched notes studying how First Enoch fits perfectly into scripture and how it ultimately complements both Genesis and Jubilees and they as well complement First Enoch in return. TGC has videos covering First Enoch in depth and not on the surface level but also it's place in history.
Besides it consistently shows the origin of demonic spirits and rebukes the occult. Any other added accounts like 2nd enoch or 3rd aren't consistent with scripture.

If you would like more accurate information, I invite you to take a few minutes to read this through... The same Holy Spirit that woke me up from my religion led me to the Dead Sea Scrolls (Which there are multiple copies of Enoch within them)...
The Body of Christ needs to have a discussion on the Bible with regards to the Dead Sea Scrolls. Alot of credible scripture has been left out and that's why the Scrolls aren't talked about. It would force us to change. If we aren't willing to give up Pagan holidays like Christmas & Easter though, I guess that shows how people really feel about Yahweh. It shows we will put our own personal feelings and culture over his direct commands to STAY AWAY from ANY form of PAGAN worship. The Dead Sea Scrolls not only confirm many of the Bible books we have but give us CLEAR and indisputable insight that many of the books were among those the Apostles likely read.
Our Bible is of Catholic origin due to being created at the Coucil of Rome. Council of Nicea ushered in the blatantly Pagan tradition Easter. These are all facts that are easily researchable. We need to really examine if we should listen to a religion that made idol & pagan worship in Christianity appear acceptable.
The Dead Sea Scrolls are older than the Masoretic Texts(what is currently used to support the Bible) so I respectfully disagree with Vlad due to their being MULTIPLE copies of the book of Enoch found preserved. Jubiblees was also among the top scrolls found in which there was a plentiful amount of among other scrolls excluded from what we know as our Canon.
Our Bible has 66 books in it. And for anyone with any amount of bible knowledge, 6 biblically is Satans number since it indicates... incomplete. Among Bible scholars, its generally agreed upon that the number 6 scripturally refers to incomplete or not being complete. Also representative of mans sinful nature or a lacking of sorts.
We should not regard the Catholic church as an authority since it was not Christian at conception and NOT Christian now.
We need to get back to accepting things that are clearly Holy Spirit led. And if that sounds crazy, then let me just say this... the Bible we read is a compilation of words from ANOINTED Christians that we regard since they were influenced by what.... Holy Spirit! NON Holy Spirit led men do not have authority to dicate what is and is not scripture.
I'm sorry... But this day and age of not being Holy Spirit led in the church needs to be buried and done away with. It's disrespectful to Yahweh, to Yeshua and to the prophets and priests and apostles.
Holy Spirit is our one true authority. The Scriptures did not come from theologians. It came from Spirit anointed men & women who were ordinary people. The Apostles were ordinary men who changed the course of history alongside Christ.

Worldwide people across all religions and nationalities are all having dreams and visions of Christ specifically, sharing similar overwhelming feelings of incredible love. Thereafter, all people after this experience tend to come to the same conclusions... seeming like to be of one spirit. If it's involving christ... and seems to be a spirit in the sense of leading people into an agreement... sounds like its 1)Holy since it involves Christ and 2) Spirit since it comes with people being of the same mindset/feelings afterwards towards Christ, which is having a passion for Christ specifically and not necessarily religion😊
