You can see the joy on his face, you can hear the joy in his voice, you can feel the joy in the songwriting. It's all there. The joy of living and the joy of music.
Died way before his time
I love it!!!
Well said!
@@billysikes1374I have been listening to his music the last couple weeks and his son AJ Croce.... What an amazing voice he has I can't get enough of father and son in recent weeks!! Jim Croce left this world way way way too soon! His music is timeless and lives on all these years!!!
Damn it brother. Im literally crying after read that. Those guys should be around nowdays. Damn it man. Sorry for the bad english. All the best from Brazil!
It was 50 years ago today that we lost both jim and maurice may they both rest in peace
😪
I'm really grateful there's footage like this of him 👍
I'm grateful aswell but not grrateful to see how white people would follow along during this great time in music.. bunch of zombies lol.
That is a foot-tapping song by an underrated 70's performer playing an all-time classic !
❤ He looks at EVERY PERSON in the audience! Amazing man
The great Jim Croce

His guitarist was terrific.
Maury Muehleisen. He died with Jim in the plane crash.
@@merlinsclaw So sad.
He released one LP on his own called "Gingerbread" on Capitol Records before him and Jim started performing together
Jim Croce is underrated as a guitarist too.
Jim Croce is underrated as a guitarist too.
The music 🎵 will still live on legacy 😊❤
My mom had a Jim Croce 8-track tape and listened to it, religiously. My early exposure to singer-songwriters took root in my soul and never left. Jim will always be a favorite. Thank you, Mom.❤
I've loved this song since I was a boy!!
Me too. I was nine years old when it came out. I loved the reference to King Kong because it was one of my favorite movies back then. Plus, when I sang it in front of my parents, I could say "damn", and justify it by saying "but those are the lyrics!!!"😂
CRAZY how well he replicated his recorded sound.
How is it CRAZY? This is exactly how he recorded it for the album, except without the live audience...
@@littlejimmyyouman7201 Most live performances don't sound nearly as good as the ideal conditions of a studio recording (there are exceptions of course)
Classic!!
Fantastic live performance! I loved Jim growing up! 😀💜
G.O.A.T.🎼🎶👍😎
It stands for greatest of all time
They all arr having such a great time.
I met Red Bone in the early 2000 s in Vegas at a small bar where he was filling in for a local group, got autographs and drank two beers and shot the bull , he wax as genuine as anyone I have met in my 61 years ❤️
September 20, 1973. The day the music died.
Great upload. Really appreciate that the lack of a branded intro, just right into the song. Thanks..
Very clever mixture of blues, 1800s pianee and 1970s folk. Absolute banger of a song
Happy Heavenly 81st Birthday Jim Croce January 10 1943 - September 20 1973
An iconic artist on the Midnight Special 🎉🎉
Gone 50 years ago today. Such a skilled performer was Jim. Down to earth, funny, relatable. Better days awaited him. A tired pilot who flew into a headwind stopped it.
This song is just fun upbeat stuff. Croce had some of the coolest ballads.
What a treat!
Love this man! ❤ Such a great loss and he died way too young 🌹
Check the girl at 0:53. The camera is on her for nearly 10 seconds. Wonder where she is now.
Y isn't this man in the rock hall of Fame?
Because the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a friggin sham!
I remember the first time I heard this song, my dad had a CD of some Jim Croce hits and this was on it. I couldn’t stop singing this. If only music was like this again
Great classic
Great! But the title is wrong. The song name is "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown," not "Big Bad-"
Don’t know if it was a rerun or the first airing, but I remember this one
rest in peace jim croce 🙏🕊
And Maury. They both died on that plane.
@@Gratefulman1965Causing a crash
That's the first-time we saw him in conclusion on U Too man ,,,,,
Keep the videos coming!
I love this song ❤
What a nice tight trio!
SUPERB LYRICS.
One of americas greatest
Love it!
Ive always wanted a boot knife since I was a kid because of this song. I've got the gun in my pocket/on my hip, but no knife yet!
Bad Bad Leroy Brown. Baddest man in the whole damn town! Badder than old King Kong! Meaner than a juckyard dog!
I remember when I was about 15 years old growing up in Pimlico, Nd. There was a man that I knew Uptown and he looked like he could have been Leroy Brown. He was a big tall man and they called him, Tiny Little. I says to him one day, Tiny, I wish I was as big as you. He said no you don't boy, every time I go in a bar the first thing happens is a drunk comes up to me and wants to try me on. Now I never been beat but I sure did bust up a lot of glasses and tables and chairs but you know, it's still ain't no fun, and all I wanted was a cold beer!
I read a comment somewhere where someone said this song was just a novelty song, saying it shouldn't be taken seriously like his other songs like Operator or Time In A Bottle. Firstly, there is nothing wrong with novelty songs. Secondly, this song is not a novelty song at all.
🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
He was the buddy holly of the 70s
BIG Bad???
It’s actually not “Big Bad” it’s “Bad, Bad”
Who is the other man does anyobe know?
If he was still here Jim would be probably writing music with A.J.😊😊
Anyone else thinking not that much has changed in life?
Proofreaders do your job!! It's not BIG Bad Leroy Brown FFS
The cia blew up his plane because of his very intense popularity they killed his ass
Meaner than a concentration camp dog… but it was unpleasant to the ear. RIP Jim, Maury and Norm.
He got killed....lol
How is that funny?? 🤔
Jim would be so proud of A.J. continuing his legacy.
