I like the Egyptian titan because unlike the others he comes from the sky. The laborers uncover and rebuilt the obelisks and in return Ra sends an avatar of himself to save them.
This is probably one of my very few critics for this reboot: They need to slow down many idle and summon animations. Take a look at 9:18 for example and compare it with the og Age of Mythology; the Titans looks like having less "impact" and "majesty" during summon compared to the og summon animation in the fast speed mode.
I've noticed this issue with the special attacks if myth units as well, they are so fast that they look goofy, and the animation doesn't seem to have impact in general.
Have they removed corpses being a thing? I remember that in OG AOM your dead unit would be corpses on the ground and decompose in skelletons etcs or am I missmembering?
@@thil2894 Yep, same with skeletal textures of the "underworld" terrain (underworld is now ashen wasteland instead) and tranforming Tartarian Gate GP from badass skull-shaped hellgate into fire-giant's face. Shame, in my opinion.
26:28 It looks so silly that the Atlantean titan's fist isn't even making contact, but the Norse titan's hammer is. A shame they reduced the number of animations some of the titans have when they attack.
Imo, the titans should have some special moves (like fireball), or finishers (like DAO). Kronos (atlantean titan) kept throwing right hands at the other titan lol.. looked so goofy 😂
My only problem of them is the Egyptian one, is not his appearance or his animations, but the way he appears, is just to fast and "bad" I remember that the old version he appear descending from the sky slow, using his wings to stop the landing and then making his roar, that was a really good presentation for a titan. But in the new one, is just to fast that I thougt for a second that maybe the game had a bug or something, but I played with the Egyptians again and no, the animation is just to fast and the lame part is that he doesn´t make his roar again, the slow animation of helps the titan to show his power and impact of the titan itself
Oh crap, you're right.. the original used to be a bit slower like the Egyptian Titan is taking his time, breathing and spreading his wings and lands on the ground
i wish they would have given the titans(and most units) a more thorough animation overhaul. some of them look janky af while others just look awful... the atlantean titan looks like it shat itself when it's walking around and a lot of the myth units and other titans could have used better animations as well. still a good update to a classic but it could have been so much better.
Hmmm maybe but the overal graphics of the titans are improved and the Norse Titan no longers looks like a oversized gobbo it at least looks somewhat like the giant troll they were going for in the original at least i think that was what they were going for
to big to slow . to clunky . they do more damage seems like but still bad pathing and bad targheting . retold titans should have been smller . quiker . do aoe damage . step on people . and have at least 3 types of attacks . jumping for one enemy is slow and stupid . one hit quick attack . or just step on it . and they do not jump when 1v1 titan fights ??? use fire breading or other ranged attack to clear archers . charging power attacks vs other titans . to have opportunity vs other titans

i thought the old one vers it's way better for effect.. but for the graphics definitely this version has some improvement from the OG

Ok, so the glowing attack effects look stupid...
It is the new buff indicator during Eclipse superpower, if I'm not mistaken. Other than that, they won't glow.
