- Welcome to my Saturday. It's a gig day today and we're off to Brecon with the ceilidh band later this evening. I'm in Wilko earlier in the day, buying birthday gift wrapping paper for my daughter's 18th birthday presents. I go out to lunch to a café with local friends and end up staying at my boyfriend's place after the gig, in readiness for a trip down to Devon the next moring.

IB = Invisible Boyfriend. He's my boyfriend. He's real, but he's camera shy so you never see him in the vlogs though you will hear him. He is heard but not seen.

Imo is a flautist/flutist (flute player), and these vlogs will often take you behind the scenes of the life of a professional folk musician. Stand by for bits and bobs of live folk music and dance as they pop up in our day-to-day lives.
These videos will not generally feature recorded background music, making them extra suitable for people who aren't keen on pop music!
Follow this channel for daily-life vlogs (6 days a week, usually), content relating to the flute, travel (particularly to Lisbon, Portugal), folk musician lifestyle, and to see what life is like for this little family in our corner of South Wales in the UK.

Naughty naughty kitties!!!! 🐱🙀🙀🙀🙀😸😼
As long as the chair is comfortable thats the main thing :) omg sorry you have had the attack of the cats :D Looks like a great venue for the gig :)
Forgot to add, that pinecones also deter cats. They are free, and actually look pretty in the garden, and kitty won't walk on them. Glad the ants kept on marching and IB isn't bothered by them. Have a great week!. 💗
👋 the flies indoors on plants could be too much watering.
Last year I was paranoid, thought I was smelly…. Didn’t water as much and they stopped appearing.
Good luck
Ahhh! Maybe I did that. Thank you. X
@@PlanetImo welcome!!! 😂
Cake is always nice.

I was at Dartington. We were there yesterday. :)
Hello Mic!
Hi Imo, Love a good day out, recommend getting the deck chair, great for Summer! 🍷🤣 Xx
Last year i took all the weeds out and the cats used mine as a litter box they are starting again now x
Oh no!
Hehe sorry I read that as letter box 😂😊
Oh no the cats.🤔put Heather in your soil as it spreads and it will stop them digging and grow your veg in pots.😊
Thank you!!
Sorry keeps doing that sending it down to you .
😆 happens to me sometimes, too!
yes the cats caused havoc with our plants out the back....-not that uncommon(weather has been a bit milder over the months)

Good video. Continue on your road on getting the silver play button
I’m repeating myself, as I’ve just said this in another comment, but just wanting to make sure it’s seen. Please don’t use peppermint or lemon oil to deter cats using your garden. They’re in this list of several essential oils which are highly toxic to cats. Also the suggestion of cayenne pepper isn’t pleasant either as it can cause severe irritation to their paws.
You could try netting around the area, or some people say keeping half filled bottles of plastic water can work, or planting something with thorns…There are several safe suggestions that you could try but please, please don’t use spices/oils
Oh thank you. I didn’t know about those things. X
All my cats have been indoor furries. But I know how frustrating it can be when they “visit”. I would just hate for an animal to get hurt/ill. I’ve only got raised beds in my yard, but have found netting has kept the neighbours cat from doing his business there.
I choose the recyclable paper too
Clear your garden bed so there is no poo, then pop some orange peel and pepper down cats hate it. ❤🫖☕🍪🍪
😃🌺
Anything from the bar? Like a whole bottle of the most expensive tipple lol😂
🎷🎺🛍️🏴🏴
That is quite the CAT-tastrophe!
Seeed heaven
I'm in sth Devon, come for a cuppa😂 originally from London ❤
Hello Imogen. Musician and part time office worker.
Yay the first watcher and commenter!! 😂❤. Love your vlogs Imo
Some people put plastic forks in the ground with the tines up to discourage cats. Google it I guess. My neighbors have loose dogs that jump into my raised beds to poo. With all the territory I get frustrated they want my planting areas.
That wedding cake wow!
The sponge sound reducers work well.
orange peel imo deters cats from using your garden xx
Get cat repellent and spray it all over.
Oh no..... cat poonarmie
I know!!
Cats can be annoying with their poop 🙄
I’m first again imo
I was sick of cats using my garden to poop in, and used plastic forks to deter them. I had seen it done on another person's vlog, and you place the forks handles into the dirt leaving the tines up, and cats do not like plopping their kitty arses on the sharp points. It worked for me. I bought a bag of 75 of the clear forks so that they weren't noticeable from the roadway. Because I knew which house the kitty came from, and I had enough, I bagged the poop, and placed it by their front door.
Friendly reminder that cats, unlike dogs, are not controllable, or expected to be controlled by their owners when they’re outside. They’re simply doing what is natural to them in the most obvious/comfortable place they find. I fully understand that it’s not pleasant but there are far kinder ways of preventing them using your garden. And leaving their mess at the neighbours door is pretty gross, imho
@@mariannetuite7411I agree. Cats have a right to roam. And leaving cat poop on someone's doorstep is just disgusting.
@@bettyboo8214 .. If you are a cat owner, it's on you to be responsible for your animal. After us having talked to the owner of the cat several times, letting them know that not only was the cat going after the birds in our feeder, the cat spray on our patio furniture was maddening, and the chit in the flower beds not only stunk, but with my g'daughters helping with gardening, and I didn't want them to end up having cat chit on their hands. So, yes, keep your cat indoors or get back what they leave behind.
You cannot stop cats going after birds, it is natural to them. As is going to the toilet in soil if they are used to being outdoors. As is roaming. Yes, cat owners are responsible for their pets, and if said cat scratched you or one of your grandchildren, that’s one thing.. but expecting the owner to keep a cat indoors just to suit you is frankly cruel and ridiculous
If you’re worried about what children will pick up while gardening, teach them better, have them wear gloves, or don’t let them garden.
That you think dumping crap on someone’s doorstep is the correct response is frankly disturbing
Cats don’t like cayenne pepper lemon or peppermint oil good look
Thanks! X
Please, please don’t use any of those things to deter cats. Cayenne can severely irritate their skin and lemon oil and peppermint oil are both highly toxic to cats and can kill them (along with several other essential oils)
