@16:54 Regarding the pronunciation of 'cornichons', the 'ch' is pronounced like 'sh'. Corn-i-shon. It's a French word. The s on the end is silent in French, but usually people in the US pronounce the s at the end.
I am looking so forward to your baking video using your brand new oven! Your grocery hauls are my favorite. You explain everything so well. Love the hat! You look great in hats and caps.❤
I usually forget what I want to say at the end of the video. The cornichone ? Pickles I chop them fine and add to my tuna or chicken salad along with some cappers. Also really good on bagels and cream cheese 🥯
The key to gyro meat with ground meat is to mix it very very well. Even in a food processor is good. It really helps the meat be almost paste like (lovely description i know). It's more sliceable that way
I so empathize on the no oven thing, we currently don't have one, we have two top burners on the counter, we make use of our air fryer, crock pot and insta pot and a nesco roaster but I can't wait til i have an oven again!!!
You might try a bechamel sauce for lasagna. Super yummy. Also those little things are pronounced kor-ni-shaanz. They are yummy chopped into tuna salad!
Your Christmas tree looks so pretty! Yay, you have a working oven... and 6 full cartons of milk 😊. Your meals (and snacks) sound delish. Warren's right, pork n beans go with anything, anytime. Thanks to you we're using the Aldi's skin care; so far so good. You're such a fun mom & grandma. ❤ Looking forward to the "marathon".
Hi Jennifer. I make a ricotta substitute for lasagna using cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, parsley and parmesan cheese. Love the hat-looks great on you. Nice haul--thanks for sharing. "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!"
That Naan bread makes the best pizza! We spread pesto sauce on ours, topped with spinach, cooked sausage, sliced fresh Mozarella cheese and fresh or dried basil. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted. So good! We leave the meat off during Fridays for lent. We’ve also use just regular pizza or spaghetti sauce, mozarella, pepperoni slices, etc.
By the way, I made up your deleux sugar cookies, and they made the nicest Christmas cut-out cookies! My little grandson, daughter-in-law and I had such a good time making, decorating and eating a few today!❤🎄
So for me and lasagna, while I do not mind Ricotta cheese, I like the flavor of cottage cheese. However, I do not like the consistancy that cottage cheese gives lasagna. One day I had one of those "Ahh Ha!" moments and whipped the cottage cheese in my blender, GAME CHANGER for me!😂💡
@@acountrylife well you know we’ve talked over the years. My daughter was killed nine years ago, so it’s really hard and with my boyfriend traveling it makes it even harder.
Most people misuse the term charcuterie. It literally means cold meat. I agree with you on it being called a cheese and cracker tray. You look cute with the hat on. Is it a new look or a bad hair day?😅
✨️✨️✨️Hi Jennifer, I'm a member! Your content is excellent value for money. Please continue your great work. ✨️✨️✨️🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅 God bless the Brockmans 🙌 ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Those new crescent rolls in the plastic bag at Aldi are horrible! The Walmart brand is actually really good and a lot cheaper than the crescent roll brand.
French is one of my speaking languages and I do have to make a small correction in your pronunciation. The letter 's' at the end of Fremch words is never pronounced, so the proper way to say it is cor-nee-chon.
That shine on the cranberries may come from the unhealthy seed oil that put on the cranberry. Look on the ingredients list to see if yours have oil on them
If I don’t talk to you again before Christmas I hope you & your beautiful family have a Merry Christmas! 🎄

Love the grocery hall. It's always good to here your suggestions on new thing's to try. Really looking forward to your baking video tomorrow.
I'm glad you enjoy the grocery hauls!
I’ve always used cottage cheese in my lasagna too 😊
Good haul Jennifer, and Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year to you, Warren, and your entire family! 🎅🤶🎄❄️❤️
Wishing you a happy holiday season as well.
Great Grocery Haul.👍🏻Blessings and have a Wonderful Weekend and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Jennifer and Beautiful Family. 🙏❤🎄🎅☃️
Thank you Sonia. Merry Christmas to you too 🎄
Merry Christmas and blessings to you and your family🎄
Thank you, Merry Christmas to you and yours too!
Loving the hat! Merry Christmas to all the Brockmans!!
Thanks Trish 😀
Good morning, see if Maria can figure out how to say the name of the pickles. (It's french!)
The key to gyro meat with ground meat is to mix it very very well. Even in a food processor is good. It really helps the meat be almost paste like (lovely description i know). It's more sliceable that way
I might give that a shot even though paste is an interesting word.😧

The hat looks fabulous on you!
Thank you for sharing. 😊❤
Merry christmas from Sweden. Hope you have a wonderful timw with your loved ones.❤

Great haul, Jennifer! Happy holidays to you and your family. To your RUclips family also, happy holidays!❤
Thanks, you too! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

We like chicken gyros too - I use b/s chicken breast. So good.
That was a big haul. Always fun when you talk about what the items are for.
I use cottage cheese for my lasagna also.
Love your hat--it looks so good on you!
Thanks!
I would give the Aldi's Crescent rolls a try. I have and found them fine. I have another 2 packages to make your chicken roll ups!
Oh those roll ups are good.
Enjoy your hauls Jennifer. Merry Christmas to you and your family. God bless.
Merry Christmas Barbara 🎄
You look fabulous in the hat!
I recently bought Thomases crandberry English muffins. I’ve been back to buy more after I tried one.
I bet they are really good toasted.
God bless you Jen and your family. It's always a pleasure to watch your videos ❤❤ looking forward to the baking video
Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos. Baking day is next.
Love the hat on you...good look for you! Merry Christmas Brockman Family!🎄🎅🤶👼💖🙏 Keep the Faith, Always, Hope😊
Thanks! Always keeping the faith.
I absolutely love your hat and your beautiful earrings. Where did you ever find those earrings?
I got them at Walmart-clearance this summer for $3. Here’s a link to a very similar pair at Amazon amzn.to/4ftEv4l

I hadn’t had the Aldi moisturizer for a while(it’s always sold out) and I’m really happy with it again.
Hi Jennifer. I make a ricotta substitute for lasagna using cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, parsley and parmesan cheese. Love the hat-looks great on you. Nice haul--thanks for sharing. "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!"
That sounds like a good mixture. I should add parsley to my lasagna. You bet it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I can't wait.

Merry Christmas from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin

I just mixed those up today to cut out tomorrow. Glad you liked them.
@@acountrylife They are wonderful! Can't wait to try Peter's recipe too!
Love your hat. You look beautiful. Merry Christmas to you and yours. ❤️
Thank you! You too!
Great video and haul ❤
Thanks for watching!
Random, but love your earrings! And merry Christmas to you all!
Thanks I got them for my son’s wedding .
My mom always used cottage cheese. How is the new stove.?
I’m living the new stove. Everything works and it’s so nice.
I recommend the NO 7 day and night cream. I’ve been using for years!
Where is it from?
I have done mostly walmart pickup orders the month of Dec. The store has been so busy and it stresses me out!
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you too!
I like to use cottage cheese instead of sour cream on my tacos .
That actually sounds good.
Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas Deborah!

That’s a good way to get the best of both worlds.
You should try the Walmart frozen egg noodles for your chicken noodle soup. They are priced pretty good for a 24oz. Bag.just a suggestion.
I never even knew frozen noodles existed.
I just recently saw them so decided to try them. They are actually pretty good in my opinion.
you are so cute in your hat!!
🫶
Cornichons are the same as Sweet Gherkins in Wisconsin (pronounced corn-ni-shons)...the chili flavor may be extra spicy
We don't pronounce the s at the end of french words.
@@marykoufalis7666 yes, I should have written 'corn-ni-shon'...correct
Great video just in case you don’t post again before Christmas Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas Christie 🎄
@@acountrylife thanks it’s been a rough Christmas for me

Charcuterie has become a generic term like Kleenex, jello etc.
I think it's a bad hair day!!
I also like the term snacking board. Once a hat goes on it has to stay because it mats my hair down.
We always called the trays relish trays.

it’s pronounced “korni-shaanz” French words are the worst 😅
👍

That shine on the cranberries may come from the unhealthy seed oil that put on the cranberry. Look on the ingredients list to see if yours have oil on them
It might be safflower; is that one of the bad ones?
@@acountrylifeyes it is. Soybean, sunflower, corn, canola, cotton seed, safflower.
@acountrylife Yes any seed oil is bad.
I love you Jennifer I've been watching you for years I've never made a comment good or bad but please you're in the house lose the hat
After a whole day in the hat my hair is pretty matted down so I keep it on as one if my accessories.
Why do people want to be so rude these days??
