I've known some people with Pluto in the 8th, and it's so true what you said about them being obsessive about certain things. Also I've observed the "all-or-nothing" approach to sex.

'All or nothing' might be a good way to describe the 8th house in general. I've got Jupiter there in the highest degree, what you said about it made so much sense to me. I do wonder how it relates to my NN there as well, whether there is inevitably a strong connection between your NN and a planet near it or maybe it's really all about the sign (Aries).

I’m glad that you liked it! To have that much focus on the Scorpio/8th house energy is incredible. I feel like the 8th house just opens up more and gets deeper the more I try to understand it. It’s so layered and personal, but lately I’ve been thinking about how much focus there is on the concept of trust. I feel like Scorpio energy knows better than any other sign the true significance of trust in a connection, so when it sees trust being betrayed or disrespected, that’s where the sharpness comes from. It ultimately wants to be able to lose itself in that connection and merge, because it knows we are stronger together than we are alone. But familiarity with the dark side of people just makes it harder to satisfy that need. And I started rambling..🙈
Also, i do think uranus in my 8h contributes to me having an avoidant attachment style. I don't understand intimacy the way people do. I'm okay going months not talking to people and I'll never feel abandoned or like we've fallen out. Space doesn't bother me or interrupt my ability to continue extending love. People want closeness all the type to validate the presence of love/affection and its hard for me

I have Uranus and Neptune in my 8th. I'm very comfortable about death, actually excited for it, I'm fascinated about what comes next because earth is boring. I am very sexually giving, still learning to have boundaries around my sexual energy+ accept my kinks and what actually attunes me to my sexual energy because I've judged myself harshly for not being into what "normal people" are into in the bedroom lololol. I have Mars, Saturn and North Node in the 8th house. Although I’m a Gemini sun, my approach to life is like Scorpios, considering Saturn and North Node both in Gemini conjunct my Sun. I’m also a Scorpio rising. My Mars is in Cancer so it’s fall.

Its interesting how I resonate more with this Mars in 8th (placidus) than Mars in 10th(whole sign) . Cause I dont resonate with Mars in 10th that I am ambitious in career, maybe to be my own boss type, and want to be successfull, but not like successfull like I want to be first, and compete etc...thats cause its in Libra maybe...
Yes with Mars in Libra in 8th in placidus, I put my energy into that diving deep, research, detective type energy, obssesive. And links to Scorpio MC, and Mars in 10th house in whole sign. And maybe Mars is exausting me, or its becase of Saturn in 4th - inner emotional secuirity, or the 12th house 😂. I mean, idk what to mean and think, but hm I am alive still, so I keep going the way I kept going, and no one knows how has been except me, no one knows better for me except me, or no one knows what is best for my body except my body - ...My only God or Godess is the TRUTH. And I live for her, I am her devotee... And with this 8th, and 12th house diving deep is very exausting also. And I am learning this self nurturing side, the difficulty with Saturn in 4th house, and Saturn in Aries is kinda aggresive or rejects agressiveness,....and Moon and Mercury in Sagg 12th opposition Ceres Gemini 6th .
I strongly feel 8th house as the house of merging and being in relation to........ (I have sun, lillith and mars in the 8th!)
It absolutely is the house of merging, focusing on the value that can only come from vulnerability and letting down one’s defenses for the sake of the intimate connection! It can feel too deep to even describe with words.
I have Venus conjunct Saturn & my vertex in the 8th house…
Venus conjunct Saturn can honestly be a very difficult aspect to have, but I think it has a lot of really great qualities too. In particular, taking relationships and commitment very seriously and being mature with your feelings. I also think this makes someone smart with money, and love gets better with time!

I have my North Node in the 8th House and I am quite impulsive and I do break taboos (saying things out loud that other people wouldn't) because my Aries rules the 8th house..
The other aspect is I am very aware of the secret depths behind so much.. with Pluto at home in Scorpio..
But I'm still trying to work out what it REALLY means to be heading towards that North Node... I do recognise the extreme transformation I've gone through... and the sense of many endings.. having been 'reborn' countless times... but I'm trying to figure out more what it means to have my north node AND Fortune there.. I am aware of this luckiness, it's true.. I have lucked out in some ways.. and I do have a massive sense for energetic shifts... I am very comfortable with dark subjects... and I do find that I am SO different from pretty much anybody I know, ha!
I wonder do you have any thoughts about having the north node/fortune and no other planets.. I do think my life is going to be one endless transformational process... and each person I get to know... it's always intense.. although because of traumatic experiences.. I did attempt to fit in when I was younger.. which made me indulge in niceties/small talk to be liked.. but now I'm so sick of it, I feel that so much :D
The way I understand my node being there is that I have been unfortunate and gone through many bad things.. and yet.. I am strangely one of the happiest/joyous people in my personal life and deeply in touch with emotions.. though I have, to an extent, broken away from my past.. leaving behind a life not meant for me (that seems sad but actually.. it isn't a sad thing for me.. it feels right that I went this way.. I can understand why others would see it as an awful fate, but I've felt liberated recently by this very nature of it.. the feeling that I had to be how I am.. so I can understand that I am VERY 8th house.. but for me the darkness has mostly lifted and I am so at ease with who I am!)
I can see how I was repressed and disempowered in my younger life, but now it feels so intense.. like everything has boiled over and I'm heavily empowered... almost to the extent of being unfazed by most things.. it's a weird vibe.. to come from being so sensitive, to still retaining that sensitivity, but having this unbreakable resolve about it.. as if nobody could talk me out of doing what I love.. I can also see the connection with sex/intimacy and 8th house energy.. it's as if I attract others who are seeking some sort of very intense bond... and I am drawn to that, too.. this all or nothing stuff. It's a very complex house maybe.. but feels like one that can bring the most transcendent experiences possible!
On of the 8th house aspects that I feel is underrepresented is the need for risk, vulnerability, and faith in your intuition. The element of survival and that desire to really thrive and go beyond what is typically acceptable is reliant on the intuitive and discerning nature of the energy. This is where I really see the opposite house making things more clear, as the axis can represent security vs vulnerability. Scorpio desires the intimacy and connection that goes beyond what feels safe, so this can be connected to exploring your depth with a trusted person, and also trusting your gut beyond what seems practical. I find with my Scorpio North Node that the more I trust in what is risky but true to my heart, especially when it comes to allowing help and support from those around me, I feel much more aligned. Maybe this idea can help you understand better what it means in you? But there are always layers and layers with this energy, because it has to shift over time. The main thing to avoid is stagnancy, I think.

I really love this answer.. I’m just curious about one thing.. what would you consider the 8th house in comparison to the 2nd house in terms of that security/vulnerability axis?
Because I heard the 8th house being associated with security.. but maybe it even has its own axis.. if you get me..
I’m wondering do you see the 2nd house (mine in Libra) as being a more inherently vulnerable one, perhaps?
That last part is actually hugely helpful because I have struggled massively with that issue of allowing myself to be helped/supported because of getting used to a sort of very passive kind of support in the past.. having to do so much on my own.. it’s still a big issue.. how to really get to a place where I can totally surrender.. but I am getting there.. the issue feels almost that I have this very large personality.. this immense inner world.. it feels secure.. but I actually know it’s not sustainable to have that alone.. I am slowly building those extra supports and being so open to help now!
