Some things that I feel need to be addressed: - the Puritans did not call themselves such, but it was a derogatory moniker that seemed to appeal to them later on - Manifest Destiny had nothing to do with the Puritans but was a social movement of expansion westward after the Louisiana Purchase, mainly fueled by a view of American supremacy over the Natives of those lands Stay handsome, kings, and read the Puritans 👑
19:45 "To avoid unnecessary technical jargon it just means that we believe Christ's victory on the cross will mean that the world will gradually become a better place as the nations are discipled, baptized, and and taught to obey all that the Lord commands. The end product will be Christ's return to a world that is largely Christian, before he defeats the final enemy and brings out the New Jerusalem the new heavens and the new Earth." I've been trying to learn more about the Post Mil view, but could never get anything specific on this point. Finally, someone explains it!
@@annamineer2521The Lord Jesus also refuted the idea of a largely Christian world that gets better and better: “…Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”” Luke 18:8b
We walk by faith and not by sight, though, no? I thought we were called “believers.” Why subscribe to an eschatological view that makes defeat and disappointment the expectation? Instead, let’s hope and wait for a world that is “as full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea”?
So excited for this! I have an ancestor who was in the Salem witch trials and was burned at the stake for being accused of being a witch. She was a Christian woman named Rebecca Towne Nurse.
Wow, that is horrible! It does seem these situations were messy and complicated. (As real life always is.) I am terrified of that "mob mentality", regardless of the particular issue. People seem to go crazy. You can't reason with them. I'm not even sure how to deal with that.
It never ceases to amaze me how often those who desire to follow God get tripped up by the traditions of men, or by cultural "understandings". It reminds me that we are often easily mislead by our enemy who will pull out every trick to speed us to the destruction of our souls. It's critical that we LOVE truth, no matter how uncomfortable it makes us. His Word is our protection. The demonic powers have nothing on the one who is obedient to Christ.
Im sad yalls handsome faces are absent, but the story telling is so great. Do y'all write this yourselves? I find the problem with recent "writers/authors/artists" (if you can even call them that) is void of any and all expression and true emotion. I always say the road to hell is paved in adverbs and adjectives. They use too many simple descriptives. Instead of using a single more powerful word that would suffice. Anyone can call themselves a writer, now that self-publishing is a thing. I guess I'm trying to say, you both are so very talented when it comes to writing your stories. I forget I'm even listening to a podcast. It's like I'm reading it myself, I start to daze in and out imagining myself witnessing the moments. Just amazing!😊 Thanks for working so hard to bring us this!
The irony that they're accusing those of being bewitched by using literal witchcraft does not get by me. Messiah said a kingdom divided cannot stand can't cast out beelzibub by beelzibub. What if I told you they flipped the script and believers were actually unalived there by the witches, not the other way around 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 just something to chew on
Seemed like Tibiba didn't expect to be the one betty would claim as the witch. The whole "bake a peecake" thing was no doubt another trick in the real witches bag.
I watched some video with that guy. It's so disturbing! Once you put aside deliberate hoaxes / honest mistakes, perhaps military aircraft, hallucinations due to drug use or "mental illness" - all the stuff that can possibly be explained other ways - the things that can't be explained away are horrifying. I have no doubt they are straight up demonic.
Any Med./ chemistry Dr. In here who have a guess as to what caused such consistent symptoms? I'm no naysayer of the evil realm, but even it has some limited say in the physical...
The witch cake was given to the dog not to the fire. Or at least that's my findings. I am related to Rebecca nurse and have been reading up on the whole trail. The puritans were diffently legalistic people like the religious leaders in Jesus' time.
Jesus didn't rebuke the Pharisees for following God's law too strictly, but for ignoring the greater aspects of the law like showing mercy and justice. He rebuked them for being hypocritical, proud, greedy, and murderous. I would disagree with comparing the Puritans striving for holiness with the sin of the Pharisees. Sure, you probably have some proud "holier-than-thou" Puritans, but I see a lot of beautiful humility and love for God in Puritan writings and prayers.
I’m sorry but you guys are among the reasons why I don’t like to even identify as “reformed”. Anyone who can read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and come to a Post-Millennial eschatology…I’m not even sure what “bible” is being read, honestly. The notion that the world will get better before Christ’s return is borderline heretical to me. The Bible simply doesn’t teach this.
You should feel that way about premil. Every aspect of premil contradicts scripture. You think post mil is crazy because of your tradition. To deny the present reign of Jesus is to deny the atonement (heb 10)
I don't quite understand that particular point either. I am still very new to the Post Mil view. I am sure I am misunderstanding a lot. But if this characterization is accurate, then I don't see how people can believe that. How can we look at the current (demonic) fad of celebrating the s * x u a l m u t i l a t i o n of CHILDREN and think things are getting better? That's just one of the things we could point to right now. If the world will get better & better because so many people are getting saved (?) why bother even longing for Christ to return? I really don't understand the details. As I said, I am still learning this view. I could be mistaken. All I know is most days, I feel like I am drowning in demonic filth and evil. It's unbearable to me. PLEASE come back, Jesus! All of that said, if I'm wrong and they are right, then that is fantastic!
Literally got a Mormon ad at the 21:00 minute mark when he was talking about Utah 😂
Salem Witch Trials?? From the lens of Scripture??! LIT
I didn't expect to hear about a Wendigo in a Salem episode but that was an interesting turn. :)

Manifest destiny is something that started in 1800s with westward expansion. Puritans believed in Divine Providence.

Best way I thought so too

@RPSanAnto yep and I would but that word and a few others RUclips doesn't like so it'll mess with the algorithm, even in comments.
Please do a video on muscle testing. This practice is so prevalent in the church
Muscle testing? In the church? That has to be cultists if they do that. I know ni church that does that.
I don't understand why allopathic medicine which is highly flawed & corrupted is thought to be the only possible healing modality.
What does that even mean? I have never heard this term.

Just a matter of clarification: "Puritan" was a pejorative term. It wasn't what the Puritans called themselves.
