Three months later on May 2nd it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #48 and spent 13 weeks on the Top 100...
It reached #3 on the U.K. Singles chart and #33 in Australia...

This version of Not Fade Away sung by The Rolling Stones is not very good. The version by Charles Hardin Holley aka Buddy Holly is so much better! I have heard the original version Not Fade Away by Buddy Holly! Buddy Holly along with JP "The Big Bopper" Richardson, & Richard Valenzuela aka Ritchie Valens along with their pilot Roger Peterson were killed in the famous February 3, 1959 plane crash which is now known as "The Day The Music Died".
