He had a relationship with the Israelis but he wasn’t a collaborator, in fact the relationship was soured after he was elected president and before he was assassinated.

@@John-Adam Bashir is more like Mosulinni, an ultra-conservative right-wing nationalist. Che would have been fighting with LNM against the Lebanese Forces if he was alive during the civil war. Che was a left-wing Marxist revolutionary. Bachir is not like Che at all.
He expresses utter contempt towards the current Lebanese society and state. He denounces the founding fathers of the Lebanese Republic and its political and religious establishment. To him, Lebanon is full of corruption, lies, and incompetence and calls for its destruction and the continuation of the civil war using well-armed militias, so they may build a new Lebanese society and become its only true vanguard. He calls for the cleansing of Lebanon from Syrians and Palasitains which he blames for the perceived loss of Lebanese independence. He calls for extreme social discipline and obedience towards the new social order in the new state. He says the Lebanese Forces offers the only true way for Lebanese "salvation".
