@@igorivanov2498 nah that’s just called being a poor sport/asshole. It’s a competition so it’s their job to worry about making their OWN designs as great as possible, not to harass other contestants. If they can’t win by talent alone and instead need to be jerks to ruin other people’s success so they can have a better chance then maybe they shouldn’t be competing.

Yeah it was so irritating how rude all the other guys were that season, trying to downplay her talent. Like I know it was boys vs girls but man, the lack of respect from the guys' side was surprising. At least Jason was the one stand up guy there and he made it all the way to the finale

Much easier than an hour glass. It’s only straight in the middle and curves everywhere else. You can’t hide imperfections in the hour glass the same way, and it relies on its curves to show accuracy.

@@egodeosum ik where ur coming from, bc i was thinking the same, but when you even press down on ur throat a lil bit youll feel bumps (bones/veins/eating&breathing tubes) and its hard to draw a straight line on a bumpy surpace even with a stencil, hope this helps!!

There have been a few bad tattoo's on ink master. But generally speaking, being voted "the worst tattoo" on Ink Master is like being voted the "worst player in the NBA." Your tattoo is still better than most tattoo's.

Said the linework was excellent as well.. i saw many parts of the outline that outweighed the rest, an just didn’t seem to clean to be honest. I’m no artists, but i could still tell.

@@joeclipple5594 The professional artists are very often moving their own goal posts, that's why we shouldn't necessarily trust their judgment.
They say 'do fine line' and choose a tattoo that almost got no fine-lining in it, they say 'do cross-stitch' and choose a tattoo that is basically two tattoos.
The celtic ornamental tattoo by Joey should have won, because celtic ornaments are _always_ symmetrical, and Joshua's wasn't.
There have been a LOT of tattoos that should have won, but didn't, because of this _very_ loose style of judgment.

I have to disagree with the judges on that last challenge. Cam's piece was great, but Jennel's lion was just soooo extraordinary. The concept alone was off the charts and the application was perfect. It almost looked like something a graphic designer would make in Photoshop. I'd have to go with her. They were all great though.
It didn’t look like cross stitch though. It looked like pixels when looking at it. They’re from the same family, so I get the confusion. Even having the realistic lion there didn’t make sense for the challenge.
@@cas4040 I see what you mean, but Cam's design also used a very realistic eye in the center, which I didn't think made much sense for the challenge either. The only thing I would have liked to see is some variation in Jennel's cross stitches. If she varied the size of the X patterns around the lion head and did away with the thick black outline, it would have helped sell the impression of stitches vs pixels a bit more. I see where you got that impression though, looking at it a second time.

She had some rough outline spots. It would’ve looked better if it was smaller, or maybe not even have the rough outline at all. And I agree it looks more like pixels than cross stitch

For the cross-stitching pieces, Cam’s piece was beautiful but it didn’t deserve the win over Dani or Janelle.
I feel like Dani’s looked most like a legit cross stitch piece.
I think Dani's looked legit like cross stitch, but I would be VERY interested to see how it looks after a couple years. I don't mean that as disrespectful I am just genuinely curious if that style holds up

Agree! I felt that though his was a skilled & detailed tattoo, the other two were either 1. More seen as cross stitch pieces or 2. A more beautiful tattoo I would want to place on myself.
I honestly loved the one where it looked like a legit cross-stitch. And when the judge lead into it by saying "I hate it cuz everyone is gonna want that tattoo and it looks great" I thought for sure she was gonna win that. I was surprised when she didn't.
Man, kudos to the editing team who had to put together so many compilations without showing Oliver Peck's face. I've been binge watching these for a few hours now and they've done some seamless transitions keeping his voice but never showing his face. Looks like that controversy with Oliver is sticking since Paramount bought Spkie.

(Also tone indicators are usually put at the end of comments, they look like "/j" or "/srs" for example! They're to help clarify tone for people who may struggle to read tone over text :D)
who else gets really annoyed every time the judge mentions "masculine tattoo" or "feminine tattoo"? Like shut up and let the person have what they want. Who cares if a dude wants a harp on the throat, who cares? You should be judging the quality of the art, NOT the fact it's on another sex.
Also since when was the celtic harp feminine? Its2 the emblem of the Irish national rugby team, and they're hard as nails.

Cam’s cross stitch piece felt like two completely different tattoos smashed together where Janelle’s looked like one cohesive piece that blended perfectly. Nobody cross stitches in black and white either, so it just looks a tattoo that should’ve been a different style altogether. I don’t get why they chose his at all.

I think the redemption tattoos when they come back to the shops is where they produce their best. It's because there is no stress, no toxicity of other artists, and no arguing. It's where the artist can show their worth, and that's why they dont mess up.

Ok but Cam going “Ewww” “ughh that’s so horrible” to Laura doing her neck tattoo is very unprofessional. Imagine being that client, haring another artist tell your artist that your tattoo looks like crap, while they’re tattooing it.
I imagine that the artist then focused on reassuring the canvas. It was probably a ploy to shake the artist's confidence and to get the canvas to feel uncomfortable, forcing them to waste time checking everything out.

Creepy Jason was such a sweetheart in that series! Really respectful and supportive of the other artists, and only dissed the ones who habitually behaved like jerks to the others.

Dani definitely should have won the cross stitch tattoo. Yes, Cam had a great tattoo with straight lines, but Dani's was a straight cross stitch tattoo which they asked for and it was a pretty big tattoo

Finger oils are different.
Their hands have more germs then the arms. You touch everything with your hands not your arms. It’s also to prevent giving themselves accidental tattoos on their hands😂
Actually the forearm is the dirtiest part of the human body. Most people don't know this apparently.

I would like to see the process on how they get their canvases for each of these challenges.
Its either random and they pick skulls with a name on the bottom, or a person that won a previous challenge gets to pick who gets what canvas
From what I've seen, they kind of just grab people on the street and ask if they want a tattoo. For specific challenges I think there might be a sign up sheet or something, but I feel like it's definitely more random and a chance of whoever they can flag down.
I once looked into applying to be a canvas. It’s a simple Facebook link to fill out a form lol

Melissa's interpretation of the Sefirot in the Tree of Life alignment is very interesting.
And considering the wobbly nature of the Sefirot in Kabbalah (like, the Tree of Life is the _ideal_ alignment, not necessarily reality), the wobbliness of the ligns may be accidental but fitting.

@Wannabe Cultleader Haha it was brutal actually.. The left side of my neck ended up swelling pretty bad but it healed fine. I need some touch-up in the white spots but i figured I would anyway since I started tanning again recently.
