When I was a kid in the 90s, you could find Archie comics on the spinner racks right alongside Spider-Man, Batman, the X-Men and the Justice League. When your parents were buying their groceries at the checkstands, digest size Archie comics were right there next to the Disney Adventures, Reader's Digest and TV Guide. They had fun artwork that caught your eye and silly comics that were fun to read. Unlike Marvel, DC or Image, you can still find Archie comics at Wal-Mart and some grocery stores in digest books at checkstands.
I still see the Archie digests at Walmart and various places. They no longer seem to have the older reprinted stories in them and they’re way too expensive now
Definitely. I’d love to see a good girl art revival but I don’t see it happening with any of the major comic companies. I think they’d rather close up shop than make comics that people want.
@@antonimobay7334Comic pro Mark Waid said pretty much exactly that. "I think a lot of us would just rather see the industry burn down than 'get together' with the alt-right. I know I would. Sorry." What is alt-right? Anything that doesn't conform to current day inclusivity and body positivity standards.
Author knew what he was doing😅

Wonderful news!
Mega Man 5, my favorite.
Who let the Archie artists cook?!
Right!
Who is the company behind Archie Comics?
🤷
I have seen more provocative comic drawings from 1990s-2000s Marvel Comics.
Of course but this was Archie comics.
From a time when portrayals of female beauty weren’t being suppressed by the fake gender crowd. I gotta get these.
