Wow, I'm glad I watched this. Was considering purchasing but there is no way I would realistically go through all these steps every time I wanted to fold it up for transport to nearby bike paths. Looks like something that would end up taking up space in my garage, due to the hassle. Too bad.
My X-wife (whom lives at my house...but that's another story) bought one on a whim without researching or even telling me she was buying this monstrosity (I don't have room for it). She's rode it once in 1 1/2 years It's in my garage taking up valuable space. Anyway I wanted to see if it folded up smaller than just collapsing the handlebars so I google searched and found this video👍 but knowing a little about this thing I wasn't to surprised to find out how ridiculous it is into make it more compact for storage THREE metric wrenches??? are they joking, couldn't imaging breaking it down to put on a roof rack and have to reassemble taking it to a trail let alone the massive weight and awkwardness lifting up and down onto your SUV or whatever and doing the same when you get home...WOW WOW WOW. I love how their videos show really fit good looking people smiling while riding on a paved open bike trail. Do they show anyone putting up on a roof rack? NO Breaking it down for storage? NO The thing weighs 54lbs but feels much heavier no way could one person load it on a roof rack alone. They even suggest putting on a roof rack IF your car or truck is too small no car could carry this thing.
Surely some engineer can think of a better way to fold it without having to screw, unscrew, keep track of screws and washers, etc. Back to the drawing board, folks. Give R & D department a project to work on. PLEASE.
As cute as this Street Strider is (YES, I want one) that is just TOO MUCH SCREWIN' AROUND. Make it even more simple. I want to stride, not be a mechanic :-D !!!
{{This close}} to considering one, but because I'd have to regularly fold it up to put it in the back of my SUV for riding on bike trails, I think I'll pass. I wondered why the video was nearly 7 minutes long when I was thinking that a couple of latches should do it. Way too fiddly.
Wow, that's way too much work to fold. Glad I watched this first. Once you can come up with an easier way to fold this, maybe then I'll consider buying it. For its price, I want a foldable bike without all that trouble.
I quit watching the video 1/2 way through! That is just way too much drama to fold a bicycle. I want to be able to fold it QUICKLY, pop it into my suv, unfold it QUICKLY and off i go on some beautiful trail somewhere, not become an engineer for the day!
I loved mine. But folding it repeatedly to transport eventually stripped the bolts. I complained to them that they should seriously consider some sort of pin system for folding down the handles at least. Eventually sold it. Would love another one if they solve the folding hassle. Otherwise awesome design.

Well, that is not a simple task. I have been so excited about receiving my Street Strider but this is too much to do every time I want to take it out and put it back when I go for a ride.

Yes I was going to buy one next summer but after this video HELL NO…it needs to be a easy way to get it to fold down
I Agree

strange it was designed in this way, foldable bikes have been around for a while.

Excuse me where is your store?
Not enough torque on that crank bolt, judging by how easy you removed it. 28 ft. lbs, my friend!
Maybe you can help me , The bold stuck and we can not untide , maybe it is a secret way to do it, we can not make 360 degrees , some recomendation?
