How The Singapore Zoo Keeps Its Wildlife Thriving | On The Red Dot | Inside A Zoo | Part 3/4

One of the biggest challenges at the zoo is faced by its nutrition team - feeding over 1,000 species with wildly different diets. When lions eat antelope meat and termites are part of an orangutan’s diet, how can the team replicate the exact same diet at the zoo when what is readily available could lead to dental problems, diabetes, or worse?
At the zoo’s hospital, a 10-year-old binturong named April has a tooth abscess and must undergo a dental exam. At Orangutans Island, tempers run high when the food stays tantalisingly out of reach. Meanwhile, Raja, the endangered Sri Lankan leopard, has lost weight and is ready for his big date with Nuwa. But will the first-time suitor know what to do when the time finally comes?

The Zoo series has been most enjoyable and it's a pity there are only four parts - it would be great if there would be even more coverage on the operations of our wildlife reserves parks, maybe even River and Night Safari? :) Glad to hear that the zoo tries to reduce their carbon footprint in the sourcing of the animals' food. Dunno about anyone else but I've been thoroughly enjoying these series... Can see that the staff put in a lot of hard work to make sure the animals are well taken care of. As best as possible.
I'd be interested in what happens in the other parks as well as the Sea life Aquarium though I understand that's, of course, not under WRS.
Lastly... Man I was feeling really bad for the leopard. All that pent up, um, energy and getting so close to the mark without getting there. Glad to see that he finished the race so to speak lol... Also its super sweet to see the keeper so invested in the well being of his cats.

Great Documentary 💟 all this Zoo episodes. OMG !!! That leopard Raja and Nuwa mating act is quite graphic but its ok for education purpose, and that zookeeper so hilarious when commenting on the mating action, he reminds me of a Kamasutra Master 🤣

I have to say, credit where credit is due, this youtube channel of CNA, is one of the best programming that I have enjoyed so far. a show of force in journalistic prowess of singapore's finest, balancing pro and con, objective, engaging, educating and entertaining the masses.
