Listening to this instantly transports me back to the scene in the very first episode of "You Me Her" where Emma pins Izzy to the bathroom wall, passionately kisses her, tells her "surprise" and then runs off, leaving her hanging there in shocked ecstasy. Such a beautifully well executed TV show, only surpassed by the choice of soundtrack to go with it. So I have to thank "Young Summer" for making this track, at least as much as I have to thank those who made the show itself. I must admit to having been in an emotional turmoil for the last few days - I could not stop watching, so much so that I have been awake for 4 days now, having watched all 5 seasons back to back, and then the same all over again. The last episode literally had me in tears, far more so the second time around since I already knew what was coming. The only other TV show which did that to me was the Channel 4 (UK) series "Sugar Rush" back in 2005, though not to such a powerful degree. Izzy is an addictive character - I can fully understand why both Jack and Emma fell for her, and it's not just because of her stunning beauty and evocative personality. The first few episodes of series 1 transported me mentally and emotionally back to 2008, when events in my own life paralleled the show to some extent. Nothing to do with the polyamorous part - I am not married and never have been. It was the other bit: A relationship which began in a transactional way was the igniting spark for a mutually romantic one which lasted more than a year.
