The Jeep Grand Cherokee is a solid choice! It's got that rugged vibe but still feels pretty luxurious inside. Plus, it's great for off-roading if you're into that kind of adventure!
And it sucks because this is the one vehicle I’d be willing to shell out for that wasn’t fast. If a dealer could get one close to my ideal spec and throw in some perks I’d be willing to pay six figures for one, but I’d be extremely “picky” with the build.
I bought a 22 Trailhawk new and love it, but ive had a slew of issues and warranty work done. I will say that the V6 engine is solid and none if the issues I've had are engine related.
So many competitors down sizing engines jeep is keeping the NA V6 alive. Preferred way to buy a suv this size. Also one of the best interiors in this segment
No. Nope. Not at all. I just took a Lexus TX Uber home last night. The design languages aren't nearly the same. Plus the infotainment screen in the TX is massive. The ride is so plush...and I'm not a Toyota fan but Cherokee can't compete.
@naveenthemachine And under 300 horsepower and under 300 torque??? Lol come on man. The inside of the TX looks way classier inside. I drive these cars in Ubers all the time. The jeep design language isn't cohesive. It's nice yes. But elite? Hmmm that's a debate.
I have the same exact car just the 2023 model and love it!! We got it with the 3rd screen for the passenger but don’t ever use it! I only wish it was a little bigger but at the point you would be in Wagoneer territory!
have you had any problems with it? I hear so many people talk about issues with Jeep brand. I have a 2017 Jeep GC and thinking about getting a new one.
Jeep dealers here in CAnada are so full of themselves, they asked me 'over MSRP' for a similar grand cherokee L, they tried to play old school sales tactics rather than straight up no haggle pricing like tesla or other newer brands Now same dealers are almost closing down
I've been wanting one of these for a few years....the L model....but they "were" priced out of my league until I found a 2023 with 18K miles on it (I now have 30K). I love the thing as it is exactly what I wanted. The only issue is the "quirky" radio, nav, phone thing quite often requires some sort of reset from time to time....annoying but workable.
Vents hurt fuel economy which is why you see it and you don't need to vent a regular vehicle that much. There's no reason to vent brakes or provide extra venting to the motor. It certainly looks better than just it being all white plastic there.
In laws have one of these in a limited trim and I will say they are very comfortable to drive and having the NA V6 is a plus. 3rd row is for kids for sure but its there if you need to haul adults for short drives. One dislike is the infotainment system. The apple carplay/ android auto can act up every once in a while. Something else to be aware of, the transmission definitely feels bad at times. In laws have a 21' model so not sure if things have gotten better since then with the inf system and trans. The gloss black on the interior drives me insane as well. Too many fingerprints and scuffs all over it.
The Grand Cherokee is the one vehicle I would consider paying that much for a vehicle that wasn’t fast, but I’m not even sure a spec I’m interested in is available
My GC Overland 4xe was beautiful and full of amazing features. Unfortunately, it was a lemon and now I'm in an X5 50e and that, I must say, is true luxury. It's a shame though, the new style of the GC is awesome, just not reliable, for me, at least. But, put the 6.4 in that bad boy, and I'd be back in a heartbeat.
I'm curious as to why they always put these lower output versions of engines in these heavier Suv's ? The 3.6 with the different air intake design is rated at 305hp. That being said don't let it persuade you to give it a chance. The 3.6 Pentastar is no slouch. It does fine in our 2023 Durango pursuits and that's with all that heavy police equipment we have. Ours got the same horsepower rated 3.6 since only Ford actually still modifies performance in their police variants.
Like Michael Jordan in his prime, if you see sweat in the first few minutes Joe Raiti is going to deliver. Good review as usual, even for a car that is not on my radar. Lexus Hybrid offerings are more desirable at that price point.
Something going on that I want to find out, what's a new Jeep doing on a Jaguar LR Dealer? Jeeps aren't the best, but come on, trading it in for a Land Rover is a bit stupid. Glad you got to show it to us, though, Joe. Keep up the great work! 👍
@DaniTheNachoPirate sounds like a Cryptobro purchase. Bitcoin surpassed 100k US and the Dow is up. Can't wait to see if Wall Street will welcome the Big Guy with big gains on the 20th.
The electronic auto tranny shifter should never be in the center between the two front seats. It could be shorted out by a spilled drink and takes up space in the middle where a cubby could be to keep your purse or satchel. Mechanical shifters had to be in the middle. GM got it right by putting the shifter back on the steering column.
Yes it’s 💯 better than any Lexus suv right now. None of them can hold a candle to the Jeep in capability or design or luxury or materials or tech or driving dynamics
I thought you were going to review a brand new car show but I love the video. Now on the last video that you recorded you did not reply back on my comment
A lot of yuppies had loaded Grand Cherokees in the 1990s. Should of done a 90s retro look for the new one like the Bronco and Land Cruiser. It looks like a new Minivan from the back view.
I feel like 59k is a reasonable price with the materials the grand Cherokee name and the overall design I do agree with people about jeeps reliability but it is NOT that bad
My wife got a Charger this year (her dream car), I was intrigued to get a Cherokee with a third row, but the price... Oh boy .. the price.. I even have to mention that Jeep is not shape of form a luxurious brand. I went for the Carnival 25 since Deadpool and Raiti approved it. 😷🤣😂
Be serious. The market for "off road capable" premium luxury is COVERED! Nowhere for THIS to go. Just because someone makes, markets, and "makes a case" for a product doesn't make it viable.
Pentastar V6 is an unreliable dog in such a heavy vehicle. No diesel option is a mistake. We can't get the V8 in Australia. They are not selling here and I think Jeep and Ram will leave our market soon. WK was far better.
Jeep makes beautiful vehicles, but they suck. And anyone going camping knows. " wanna go camping buy a Jeep, wanna come back from Camping buy a Toyota.
Why can’t these American clunkers ever be built to last? I just don’t get why anyone would buy these knowing they are some of the least reliable cars on the road. And they aren’t giving em away either… Joe can you explain

And it’s a NA V6? Nah
I got the 2023 Grand Cherokee L summit reserve with the hemi. Beautiful vehicle. I absolutely love my jeep.
Same
Wish I could have gotten with the 6.4
You did it right!
That would be amazing for sure!
I’ve driven it as a rental car and it’s pretty cool, but 70 for a midsize is a lot of money.
GM has the segment covered @ $60k, LOADED!

Rented one last spring. For Escalade money, I'd go with Caddy every day, ALL DAY.
Good call on that one!
I bought this in ‘22 after I saw your review. Not the L version, but summit trim. A bit overpriced but love it so far…….25k miles, no issues…..yet 🙂
That’s so great to hear Tom!
Knock on wood for many more miles!

Grand Cherokee can compete. It has a 4 corner adaptive air suspension and a front double wishbone

Seems like a great Grand Cherokee. Price a bit much and I agree; a Jeep doesn’t need the third row
I love that its a V6 and not a turbo 2.0
One of the biggest assets
@@RaitisRides ikr much love from the Caribbean joe
Me too but the power numbers from the 3.6 are a little.. low (7.1 0-60 is crazy slow). Also 2025 and up, no more V8 option.
It's hard to find these in the overland trim

Joe, you have to like the V6 in the Jeep Grand Cherokee L.
The tucked in rear wipers also remove the degree of sun damage the wiper and wiper arm receive.
That is another great point!
Also snow&ice caked up on the wiper! (Shout-out from Buffalo NY) 😂
Should have got the entertainment screen on the passenger dashboard

love the videos! can you do a review on the new 2025 audi s5 sportback?
I will get that together for you!
I prefer a v6 over turbo 4 banger but these jeeps just didn't sell compared to previous gen. I got a durango rt for 42k this not worth 70k

Wagoneer S > this one, Joe.
We will see how it goes after the first drive of the Wagoneer S
