@@cooldude5699 thank you. I always loved working with bgp. It offered so much flexibility. But it was a bit challenging to learn so we worked hard to make it understandable.
BGP made easy to understand , What, Why, message types, states, attributes , path selectIon - like the way this is explained Mike . Watched several videos before this to understand BGP but this is great.
I really enjoy how this process shows how the data is routed! I also liken it to the post office and how it routes and reroutes letters or packages to the receiver. This is phenomenal stuff that's also very fun to learn. Thanks again Mike!
Awesome tutorial!!! Thank you very much for breaking BGP down into it's simplest form! I'm just breaking into Cloud and this has helped me understand how to connect from cloud to on-prem and remote. Excellent! Cheers!
This is great information and I am more excited read more on this. I just went through the CCNA 301 latest course, and BGP has been removed. It should have been there... That's sad..
Great video Mike I had never heard about BGP until I started with your training, I am starting to understand how BGP is an integral part of Networking. Looking forward to the next video!!
Mr Gibbs, You are great tutor & deeply knowledgeable. I have question about age ! I am 48 and very new to IT & Cloud so what kind of career plan fits me in cloud computing. Please help me.
Mahesh - it’s not about what career suits you. It’s about what career do you desire. You can do anything you desire. Tonight on our channel we will bring a 21 year old with no degrees or experience and we helped him get his first cloud architect job in 8 months. You can see the interview here. ruclips.net/video/n3VRCF57K98/видео.html So pick what you want to do. What will make you happy and then learn that. We can help you with what to learn. Join us for any of the free cloud career questions and answers sessions we do on our channel. But remember there no set plan. I went from internal medicne to senior network engineer in 6 months. You can do anything you desire. Just pick the end career and learn what’s required
Hey Mike, This was a very informative video. I never got this far in my 200-301 study guide, but this has inspired me to revisit the book. I’m on vacation this week, but I have the kindle version. Going to read the bgp chapter within the next couple of days. Definitely different from OSPF.
Hi GZ. Thank you. Enjoy the vacation. As you know, OSPF is a link state interior gateway protocol, while bgp is a path vector Exterior Gateway Protocol. But is common for ISPs to run OSPF internally, I-BGP to carry routing across their network, and using EBGP to connect to other organizations. Such an great and versatile routing protocol
I'm a Network Analyst and I just obtain AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification . Will I be able to get a job or will I need more AWS certs to go with my 10 plus years of networking experience?. BTW I love the videos great job of breaking it down that a person with no training could understand.
It depends upon the role. But it’s not your experience it’s about your career specific competency For example I retrain CCIEs with 20 years experience all the time to turn them into cloud architects. Certifications don’t provide the competence in cloud in the manner that a CCIE would create networking competency
Have you worked with BGP before? Please comment below!
I haven’t and desperately looking out for part two.
@@ARemi-zp6wb We sent part two of this video to our video editing team. So it will be released very soon. 😀
I have worked with it before. Great video to make a complex topic so accessible!!!
