I am 54, but had a spinal cord injury at my last job when a stair collapsed under me broke my L5S1 vartebrate, have pinchednerves and cronic pain. my 2021 terra trike rambler is more comfortable for me to sit on then my van's seat. I added a bafang mid drive to mine because it's kind of hilly in my area.
Oh, good! The trike will keep you moving. We met a lady who'd been in a very bad car accident which killed her husband. She started out with a hand controlled recumbent, then she went to an ordinary recumbent, then she finally got back on a diamond frame! She really impressed me with the way she fought back against being crippled. I"m convinced recumbents will keep us going.
I really like your trike walk around videos. I wish more people would do them to show their particular set up / customization. To me that is more interesting than the ride videos.
Nice set up. I ride a two wheeled recumbent that I upgraded with a Electric hub motor on the front wheel back in 2019. Now, those panniers/boxes on the back of your bike, did you make or buy those? I would very much like a set. Keep on riding and stay safe.
On Laurie's trike they are Catrike Assist Arms from TerraCycle. On the Scorpion the are from HP Velotechnik and have to be ordered from Germany. My next trike will be a Catrike e-559
