Maul was more like Fives in this episode. He tried to warn them about Order 66, but they did not listen. He could've saved some of Rex's men, the members of the 332nd. As soon as they captured Maul, I felt like I couldn't trust the clones anymore. The Clones were the best soldiers in the Star Wars franchise and wish that they would come back on a future movie or series.
He wanted revenge against those who wronged him not power. He tried to get Ahsoka to join her, so that he could foil palatines plans, but Ahsoka was blinded by her love to Anikan. Then in rebels maul did what he did in an attempt to kill Ahsoka and Obi wan. Therefore he was a vengeful failure
I was thinking that too until I remembered jedi can catch themselves from falling with the force. He must've just really wanted to kill her from refusing his offer.
Its because even after his "final offer" he still wanted to test if she would join him. Thats why instead of just killing her he went for simple blows that are easy to dodge instead of force choking her
It’s definitely Rex that paralyzed him and because she just fought him in a super intense lightsaber duel, it’s the clones job to bring him in. That’s the entire reason they’re on Mandalore.

I understand what you mean but if Maul cut the beam Ahsoka was standing on then Ahsoka would have survived as she could use the Force to stop the momentum of her fall so she lands safely below. When Maul told Ahsoka to let him go to let him die, If Ahsoka let Maul go, Maul could have landed safely as well as Ahsoka could but I believe in that moment, Maul would have chosen to not use the Force to stop the momentum of his fall and just choose to hit the ground and die from the impact. So the reason why Maul attacked Ahsoka instead on just cutting the beam would be that Maul wanted to ensure Ahsoka's death rather than let her most likely survive the fall. Unfortunately, that plan didn't work out well for him as we saw in the episode.
