Great video and I’m always appreciative when I get your emails! So very informative and keeps old guys like me in the loop. I’m sure it takes a lot of time to compile content, edit, write the stories, etc… very grateful for you sir.
In the north we have v bottom aluminum boats with trolling motors on front and back and used the rear trolling motor many times in conjunction with the bow mount motor. beed doing this since late 70s early 80s. But now with my 20' Ranger I've often thought it would be nice to have a trolling motor on the transom especially for site fishing and getting my bait back off the bank when I need to get up to it it get it out. Power poles are nice to stop you but they don't help you go backwards. I've fished deeper water rocks for smallies where I'm floating into the rock bar and I see a fish on FFS and I need to stop and go backwards and it's too deep to use power poles. I like this idea!!
I too would like to know more but we sneak into a lot of backwaters down here in the Mobile Delta. Not quite like that but darn close with jumping logs and stuff.
God segments this week. If you are ever in the Memphis area and want to jump into a crappie boat rigged with "brakes", we can make that happen. I'm in touch with a lot of the crappie pros that use them!
Bass is doing what the sponsors tell them to do .The forward facing sonar companies are behind this, in my opinion . Because their pros are getting beat by fishing somewhere, the big bass rigs can't get and not using sonar. Fishing skills have gone by the way side.
As an "insider" for 20+ years I would say your conclusions, while understandable, are probably incorrect. "Probably" because I am fairly sure this BASS doesn't get told to do stuff by the sponsors, though they for sure can give opinions, same as us or anyone -- but I did see a case where a prior BASS (different ownership, a while back) was pressed pretty hard by one particular sponsor and a couple others. A different ownership and a different matter. Also, if anything the pros are more skilled than ever. If you get in the boat with them you will see that.
Great Video, I think BASS doesn't like the fact that Keith is competitive on both tours. Did tha factor in on the dq, I guess no one will ever know for sure.
When the “standard” tournament rig is pushing 100K seeing Keith win in his Gator Trax is a breath of fresh air. Hope they don’t do something stupid and ban fishing boats from BASS tournaments!
@@DirkDigler209 yes he has about 50K in that thing and the average guy who isn't going to go to the lengths he does to get shallow can get in a similar rig for about 30K. He ran a 90hp motor on his Opens boat, do you know how much less it costs to buy and run a 90 compared to a 250?
@@JayKumarsBassBlaster Because it is their tournament and they get to make all the rules. It is also not allowed to tie a fly fishing popper to the back of a top water bait. Someone did it and they decided it was fishing with two baits at once, and they banned it.
Thanks for sharing another great video. 👍 I hope we receive the whole story on Keith's dq. When I fished BASS they advised you of off limits areas. So was Keith's area off limits or not?
The big fiberglass boat pro’s crying again, like every other pro sport anymore, they have the money to have another boat to do the same thing, they want it easy.
IMO Keith left tournament waters when he left Toledo Bend Reservoir and entered the Toledo Bend WMA. I think it wasn’t that he jumped the dam, it was that he entered different water. In any event, a call to the TD would have kept all of this from happening.

Hey thanks for the note man and thanks for readin' and watchin'! Much appreciated!

Yep! Plus you don't have the noise of slamming on your bow motor
Reminds me back when Roland Martin was resorefull by using a jet drive & aluminum boat. That’s been decades ago
Exactly! All the rules were made to prevent guys from doing things they were already doing, notably Roland, Hank Parker and a lot of the OGs....
Great video enjoyed it thanks 👍
Thank you for watching man!
Great video buddy! Always enjoy watching your videos. Thanks again for taking the time to share. #BassBlaster rocks!
Tx man!

Cox fishes shallow wins and has no controversy...he is the man..
No ramp jumping no FFS
Cox is amazing!

I have up Bass, they are behind the tunes. MLF is light years ahead and winning fans every tournament.

I get how it can look that way -- I doubt it personally but who knows....

You think his gator trax doesn’t cost 100 grand
They won’t ban fishing boats, just aluminum boats. And double Jack plates
He has a $80,000 aluminum boat

What’s the reason of BASS banning Alabama rig in the Elite series? What’s the reason of BASS not banning FFS in the Elite series?
Alabama rig is fishing with more than one bait at a time, same as double flute rig.
Why should they ban it? Legit asking...

He had to leave the lake to get to the water in question.

Valid points!
Them aint ditch pickle breaks they crappie breaks get it straight copy cats😂
For sure it started in crappie, like I said. The company Crappie Brakes makes them for bass boats and calls them Bass Brakes
Honestly the brakes idea is trash.....
Don't knock it til you try it!
