Stumbled across this this morning because I’ve been wanting to improve and enhance and learn Mark making better than what I’m utilizing it now. I love this demo. Thank you.
So glad this popped up. Recently I've been taking photos of old fallen trees that l love, and their root systems. Its amazing how they remain alive for so long, with so few roots underground. I feel some paintings and drawings in the making. Thanks for your mark making inspiration x😊
Reminds me of the science expo I just watched about how all trees and plants are connected underground through their root systems - communicate with each other. Your painting looks like that underground Life. LOVE IT! Respect.
That's fascinating Deborah! I was recently part of a group exhibition, the title of the exhibition was Rhizome which means connection through a root system. Nature is at the core of my creative soul - everything begins there.
On my list of favorite artists. Nice. Exactly what I love. ❤️ Thank you for sharing your story with us.

Great job...you are so good making such tiny pieces over and over, never seen anyone do it before.
Thank you so much!
Great job! I love it, and the colors also.
Thank you so much!
Stunning work! What is the ink brand?
Thank you 😊 I use FW Daler Rowney.
Please can you advise which colours you used in that range? Is the first one sepia? Many thanks for a wonderfully inspiring video!

I just found your channel. What is the type of tape you used down the middle?
Hello Debby, I use a cheap version of sellotape; it usually works well 😊
This is stuff I have been using for years.
It’s great fun isn’t it?
Wonderful beautiful 😍
Thank you 😊
After the tape is removed! Nice
thank you :)
Si pretendes que esto sea un tutorial debe explicar lo q usas tambien
What is the stof you put on the paper in the beginning.
Hi Bonna, it is simply water to help materials move on the surface, it looks a little blue but I expect that is just the lighting. :)
I should imagine it's just water, l work in a similar way. Sometimes use dirty water.
Louise apologies if l intruded on your thread, l didnt see your reply 🤦♀️
Beautiful
Is that artist board you're working on? The effects are beautiful
Thank you, it’s watercolour paper, 140lbs
beautiful work. Is that water yuo spray on the paper?
Yes, just water it helps the paint/ink to flow.
Beautiful!! Do you think this could be done using a plastic transparent sheet (polycarbonate) as a substrate?
Worth a try! 😊
Can you explain the materials you are using?? Thank you
Hi Beatriz, I'm using acrylic inks, sepia and black with water and different tools to paint such as a feather and a twig. :)
Do you stretch your paper first?
I generally stretch paper unless it is heavier in weight.
What weight of paper are you using??
It was 140lb or 300g in more modern terms
Thank you
@@louisebougourdartist6763
what are your ink colours/materials?
Hello Carol, I’m using FW acrylic ink, Payne’s grey and sepia - love the way sepia granulated when water reaches it!
@@louisebougourdartist6763 it's a stunning piece.
@@carolmcbrideonline thank you 😊
Great! The ink is permanent once dried, can add watercolors on top…
You can but it may sit on top of the ink rather than settle into the surface.
