1.Eminem not only rapping about “his album flopping” but for being in your face and have triple flows and word plays and the way he delivers lines are incredible he is by far in most peoples opinion the best lyricist

Reasonable Doubt has by far the greatest lyricism on a hip hop album (bar Illmatic). Vol. 1-3 are great listens that include 2 of Jay's breakthrough hits. The Blueprint helped redefine the genre, branching out from the gangster era, transitioning into the bling era and exceptional production value from Kanye (some of the deep cuts from Blueprint 2 are servery overlooked, take 'Meet the Parents' for example. And of course, The Black Album gave us the most personal Jay-Z songs, 'December 4th' and was the passing over the flame to the next generation of rappers e.g. Kanye and 50 Cent.
Can't say that his projects beyond the Black Album have been very influential. But the run from 1996-2004 is why in my opinion he is the greatest of all time
