  • The #HyundaiTucson has been around for nearly 2 decades. Its always been an interesting SUV, but never really managed to attract large audiences. The 2022 version however brings a whole new design language that is attractive, technology that is futuristic and engines that should be fun. Is it enough? Should you go out and buy one. With prices beginning at INR 27.69 lakh going up to INR 34.54 lakh and 4 options to choose from, there is much to choose from.

    After driving it for around 25k miles for around a year and a half i think this is a really good SUV from hyundai. It's great looking in the night and one of the most comfortable drives in this price range.

    Nice that you showed the off-roading capability.
    If passenger comfort (rear seat, bad road thuds, highway stability) is important and driving thrill is not, then should we prefer this or the City Hybrid?
    Does this have more usable ground clearance over the City - asking since flooding in big cities of the South is becoming common?

    • @waverunner2011
      @waverunner2011 Год назад +1

      Significantly more GC than city, but it should be a question of size. Do you want something as large as the Tucson, or would the City suffice. The City hybrid also gets you that insane efficiency.

      Theres almost 15-20L difference between the price of city and tucson. Better compare it with some other car with similar price to the tucson.

    • @narasimhakaushikn9198
      @narasimhakaushikn9198 Год назад

      @@gtsishere The rough understanding of the prices I have is that City Hybrid costs 25L and 2WD Tucson costs 35L.
      Notwithstanding the difference, is it worth ‘levelling up’?

    comparison w Jeep Compass S varient will be worth it. However I do believe Hyundai engine will excel in all respects compared to JC, but when it comes to offroad JC will have upper hand

      Well if you are considering something in-between a car and soft roader its squarely sits in the middle with a huge premium price. Resale value of such cars drop drastically. The irony is one can't enjoy the car as an SUV on rough terrains nor push it like an aerodynamic sedan.
      JC is in a league of its own and JC customers will never look at a Hyundai

    Back off on the loud background music please. This is a brilliant channel hence don’t spoil it by the music louder than the presenters voice

    Switch from Normal to Sport has only slight change?? Are you kidding? Try this when driving up the hills.. the difference is night and day. In sport mode there is no grunt, no funny engine noise and it will drive up the hills inclines just effortlessly. And even then its maintains the stability and body roll very well.

    Hyundai is asking Indian customers to pay a huge price for a car that's neither a full fledged SUV nor a premium soft roader, at this price point one can easily get a premium brand. Hyundai has lost its value proposition. The product doesn't have the toughness of Toyota or Isuzu SUV's or the charm and grace of Audi or BMW. I used to own the previous generation Tucson and selling it off was huge struggle, first there were hardly any buyers and second it has a very low resale value compared to other brands in the same price segment. Surprisingly the value of this car drops heavily the minute it rolls out of the showroom....
