The Dior is stickier and goopier and doesn't really do much for the lips. I love the Clarins Lip Oils, as they're more comfortable and have more skincare properties. I have all shades of Clarins and each shade has a different scent and different benefits. Some shades like Pittaya, even leaves a nice stain on the lips as well. The shimmer version is beautiful too.
The Dior sounds more up my alley but I’m so content with Viseart oil (more of a gloss), Tower 28 gloss, and Lisa Eldridge gloss, that I can’t imagine spending more for the Dior. And I’m not a fan of true oily oils. Just realized I’m using gloss/oil/balms 90% of the time these days over full lipstick. 🤔Thanks for the comparison!
I have the dior but not the clarins. I keep it in my purse at all times and the only thing i reach for. But i do like the different colors that clarin has but thin oil base lippies dries my lips more.
For me personally I love the clarins lip oil much more , I have 2 shades from it and I will have some more shades , they are absolutely gorgeous and amazing.
This was a great breakdown. I’ve never tried either of these, but you made my decision easy. My favorite lip glosses are Pat McGrath and Tower 28….so Dior it is! That was so helpful!!
5 of the Clarins shades actually do share that same adjusting technology you spoke about- including the shades apricot strawberry cherry plum and pitaya. So the shade you have does adjust with the skin's ph
i actually wavering between clarins and dior, can someone review real quick or even rate so that i can form my final decision. i did use the dior one, it was thick and long lasting (at least 2-3hrs without re-applying) but i didnt feel any hydration at all or just a little, so is the clarins one good at hydrating the lips even thought it's thinner and a bit more lightweight???( i've never used any clarins products before)
Personally I find them to be similar in terms of hydration upon initial application. The Dior is definitely thicker, stickier, and longer lasting though. For more nourishing hydration, I also like the Chantecaille lip chic formula.

clarins is more liquidy and it stays for like 30 mins.dior stays 2-3 hours. both are hydrating but i like dior better

I like the Clarins more especially cause of the colors.

What do both smell like?
The Dior smells like minty vanilla, and the Clarins smells like sweet candy. The Clarins is more heavily fragranced.
