Jon Have you tried guided sleep meditations? I spent many many sleepless nights in the wee hours watching videos to try to relax and get drowsy. I found some guided sleep meditations that do the trick for me. Instead of sleeping 3-4 hours (5 if I was lucky) I’m now sleeping 7-8 hours every night. I wake up during the night and have to get up once. Put on another meditation and go back to sleep. Took me awhile to find a soothing voice and a good fit for me. I’m old and ailing so I listen to healing sleep meditations. Use my cell phone and put it upside down on my nightstand so the light is blocked out. 😊
Nice video, Laura. It’s nice to be able to get your hands in the soil in the cold dreary days of winter when you can’t be outside. Somehow just the smell of the soil is refreshing. All the transplants look so good. I imagine their little roots are enjoying stretching out. 😊💖🦋🕊
These type of videos of yours are my favorite. Just when you’re puttering around in your garden or greenhouse tending to the plants. And I love your cats and how attentive you’re with them. Thank you for all you do!

I was feeling 'flat' this morning, but watching you report those plants was so calming and the music was so perfect (well done, Ken), it was just uplifting (plants just have that effect, don't they). Happier plants, and happier RUclips family! Thank you
I wish I could do stuff like this during the winter. I have my indoor plants but none need repotting. To have a greenhouse is a dream of mine. Loved Russel & Cheddar sleeping in the same chair. ❤️
I just love seeing winter gardening projects getting done. I'm encouraged to tidy up and pot up some plants that have been in cans for a while becuz I didn't get a chance to plant. Thanks, Laura...glad to see gardening still at this time of year! I can't wait to see the pretty setup arrangment with the amaryllis bulbs blooming...my Mom and I just watched that video again ☺️ and she loved the way you used the Pussy willows branches...so very creative!👏
My garden is asleep under the snow so this was a much needed planting fix. Thanks, Laura. Thank you to Russell and Cheddar for their guest appearance! Love those two!
I have got to remember the little in the larger pot trick for planting containers! I love that tip! Also love watching you taking care of things and the sweet fur babies.
I’ve made a GIGANTIC holiday bouquet that I’ll use for years. Well… it’s beautiful because it’s “overfilled “ just like Laura arranges flowers, etc. I would never have such a large arrangement.
Love seeing Russell and Cheddar in your videos but today it was extra special yet painful for me. Our 13 y/o ginger kitty Charlie just died and I miss him so! 2 weeks prior our sweetest Calico kitty Kisses also died (yes she had a littermate named Huggs, who died last year, they were 20 y/o). It's been a yucky December for me. Thanks for lifting my spirits with your accomplishments and inspiration Laura
I agree, I'm always looking for the kitties in each video. I can't tell them apart either. But, I know Russell follows Laura around like a shadow. He was funny climbing on the roof when she was decorating the balcony of the house. 😺😺❤
The videography editing on this is so good! Laura's movements in tempo with the music with well-done and well-placed cuts was very effective. It was all very subtle but added so much to the enjoyment of watching this video. Laura did another great job providing interesting content. If this is how you're winding down 2022, I look forward, even more, to tuning in for 2023.
@@tonybaroud3511 The weather is different than at Laura's, I only have a very small garden in which I can only change small things, but it's very relaxed next to work.

Thank you for always being there to inspire us to get out there and just get it done. We'll all be happier for it including the plants.
Loved watching you work hard. Me, I sat and let you do the work. No point, its too cold in Ontario to start anything. But I did get a lot of pointers - thanks! All the very best for 2023/ Cheers!
A lot of restless folks on this channel, I've been up since 3:30 and what a surprise to find Laura and furkids enjoying the peaceful time after Christmas. My orange kitty is keeping me company - only because I woke him up when I got out of bed.
It's funny how so many of us were awake early. I was off last Friday to Tuesday. Slept late every day. BUT my brain wouldn't allow it this morning at 3am!! So I watched a little bit of GA.
I’d love to see a citrus update! I have two trees and used your potting video when I received them, so thank you for that. I’m in northern MA, zone 5b and would love to see your winter care routine for the citrus and olive trees.
Me, too! That was going to be my comment, too. I have one each - lime & lemon tree. It’s losing its leaves & buds. But I have lots of fruit on them. I’m afraid they are all going to drop! 😢

Hi Laura! You sure got a lot done. It would be nice to have a heated greenhouse, even a small one, to use when it's cold. Love seeing Cheddar and Russel! Thank you so much for sharing!
I thought about this when I watched your highlights and you were wearing a Garden Answer hoodie. The topiary with the tall pot is your logo! No wonder you like those pots.
I had a containerized Chicago fig for a number of years that I left outside ( zone 6a ) and moved to a sheltered corner against the house in winter. It shed its leaves in Fall and sprouted new leaf buds with taller, healthy leafy growth and figs each Spring. Alas, it finally died when it got too root- bound and I couldn't find a pot big enough to transplant it. I didn't have a sheltered enough place to plant it in-ground where it would get full sun in spring but would be sheltered in winter so I kept it potted and moved it around until the very end.
This was satisfying for me! I work just like this usually but, have scaled back due to rising cost & suffering a miscarriage. I’m glad I get to watch my “Garden Girl” as I refer to Laura as. Just you & quiet time with nature. Nice.

Curious.. have you thought about putting a litter box in the greenhouse for the kitties during the winter??
This looks like the perfect task to listen to music or a podcast while working. Do you listen to anything while you work?
We keep our sedum on the dry side over winter, they hate their feet wet. 😅 I'm not sure where you get your happy motivation from but I think it inspires us watching. 🥰
LOVE CHEDDAR AND RUSSELL KITTY CATS CUDDLING TOGETHER. SO PRECIOUS.
Hello I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship where are you from?
@@tonybaroud3511 go away!
I am watching from Thailand for the next month. It is 2:00 in the afternoon. And your video just popped up. We are visiting our son and his family who are missionaries. Thanks so much for bringing a little bit of home to the other side of the world.
That was so cathartic to watch you repot all those plants! This summer I purchased SO many plants and most of them succumbed to "she-didn't-repot-me-itis." AH! Russell and Cheddar sleeping together! How sweet is that! Like your little scissors. PS: Really enjoyed the video of your mom's indoor Christmas decorations. Where's your sis these days?
Me too! I love to clean and organize the day after Christmas. Make room for the new and put out the older version in many cases.

We are seeing this video on the 28th of December. I am sure I am not alone in this what was in the last 2 drawers of your mom's advent your dad prepared for her? Will you give us update on the micro greens?
