Thanks, Laura...glad to see gardening still at this time of year! Our 13 y/o ginger kitty Charlie just died and I miss him so! 2 weeks prior our sweetest Calico kitty Kisses also died (yes she had a littermate named Huggs, who died last year, they were 20 y/o). Jon Have you tried guided sleep meditations? I spent many many sleepless nights in the wee hours watching videos to try to relax and get drowsy. I found some guided sleep meditations that do the trick for me. Instead of sleeping 3-4 hours (5 if I was lucky) I’m now sleeping 7-8 hours every night. I wake up during the night and have to get up once. Put on another meditation and go back to sleep. Took me awhile to find a soothing voice and a good fit for me. I’m old and ailing so I listen to healing sleep meditations. Use my cell phone and put it upside down on my nightstand so the light is blocked out. 😊
Nice video, Laura. It’s nice to be able to get your hands in the soil in the cold dreary days of winter when you can’t be outside. Somehow just the smell of the soil is refreshing. All the transplants look so good. I imagine their little roots are enjoying stretching out. 😊💖🦋🕊
I have got to remember the little in the larger pot trick for planting containers! I love that tip! Also love watching you taking care of things and the sweet fur babies.
I’ve made a GIGANTIC holiday bouquet that I’ll use for years. Well… it’s beautiful because it’s “overfilled “ just like Laura arranges flowers, etc. I would never have such a large arrangement.
The videography editing on this is so good! Laura's movements in tempo with the music with well-done and well-placed cuts was very effective. It was all very subtle but added so much to the enjoyment of watching this video. Laura did another great job providing interesting content. If this is how you're winding down 2022, I look forward, even more, to tuning in for 2023.
I thought about this when I watched your highlights and you were wearing a Garden Answer hoodie. The topiary with the tall pot is your logo! No wonder you like those pots.
Watching this as I am half asleep in bed. Your videos are the best, so calming, inspirational and pawsitive 😻 Thank you Laura, Cheddar, Russel and Ken for a brilliant video 🥰
I couldn't sleep, it's 2 am and your video was on my "must watch" scroll. If I had a potting shed, I'd probably be out there potting along side you. Hopefully I'll have one come Spring. Thank you for always being there to inspire us to get out there and just get it done. We'll all be happier for it including the plants.
My garden is asleep under the snow so this was a much needed planting fix. Thanks, Laura. Thank you to Russell and Cheddar for their guest appearance! Love those two!
I had a containerized Chicago fig for a number of years that I left outside ( zone 6a ) and moved to a sheltered corner against the house in winter. It shed its leaves in Fall and sprouted new leaf buds with taller, healthy leafy growth and figs each Spring. Alas, it finally died when it got too root- bound and I couldn't find a pot big enough to transplant it. I didn't have a sheltered enough place to plant it in-ground where it would get full sun in spring but would be sheltered in winter so I kept it potted and moved it around until the very end.
Fun, watching this makes me want to be outside gardening for Spring already lol. Great tips. Love seeing Russell and Cheter sleeping 😴 curled up together, so cute!
I agree, I'm always looking for the kitties in each video. I can't tell them apart either. But, I know Russell follows Laura around like a shadow. He was funny climbing on the roof when she was decorating the balcony of the house. 😺😺❤

Hi Laura, what a wonderful video, those plants are looking so great, and I love seeing that area with the grass that you framed and built and then planted the grass seeds. I also loved seeing Russell and Cheddar, they are so adorable and you are right Russell has quite the paws, I am really happy to finally see more of cheddar. Hi Laura! You sure got a lot done. It would be nice to have a heated greenhouse, even a small one, to use when it's cold. Love seeing Cheddar and Russel! Thank you so much for sharing!
I’d love to see a citrus update! I have two trees and used your potting video when I received them, so thank you for that. I’m in northern MA, zone 5b and would love to see your winter care routine for the citrus and olive trees.

A lot of restless folks on this channel, I've been up since 3:30 and what a surprise to find Laura and furkids enjoying the peaceful time after Christmas. My orange kitty is keeping me company - only because I woke him up when I got out of bed.
It's funny how so many of us were awake early. I was off last Friday to Tuesday. Slept late every day. BUT my brain wouldn't allow it this morning at 3am!! So I watched a little bit of GA.

From a quick glance I think that mold in the sedum pot is actually a sign of living and healthy soil. It’s mycelium, the living part of fungus- not the fruiting part of fungus. People who really get deep into composting and no-till work with the goal of promoting mycelium & microorganisms and/or soil biome… I’m that people 😊
