You make me proud to be American
Fantastic. I had the opportunity to watch a takeoff many year ago, and it was very impressive, now the landing is also amazing. My friend you are going to add to your famous frase, “fly pelican”, the new one, “ fly rocket “. Take care.
Awesome footage. No matter how many time I watch vids of this or live streams, it never gets old. Fascinating stuff. Thanks for sharing :)
Great video Robert - thank you for taking us along.
You're welcome. Are you going to Quartzsite this year?
Traveling Robert hey buddy - yes I am. I am in New Mexico right now and expect to be in Qsite Christmas week. Let’s plan to meet up when you get there.
Thanks Robert for taking us along to see the Falcon 9 Launch and Landing God Bless You
Thank you!
That was pretty amazing to watch! Thanks for filming it and sharing.
You're welcome
wow, that was truly impressive... that landing was incredible. I actually didn't know that rockets can do that.
Anyways, Kudos to you for capturing those stable shots while zooming in all the way!
Gooooood evening Robert! Wow, I am glad that you got to experience this firsthand. Thank you for sharing it with all of us Pelican Heads. Fly Pelican fly!
Really beautiful video, Robert. Thank you so much. I saw 2 Apollo Saturn 5's launch from there, and have always loved these things. So glad you got to see it, and thanks again for sharing it.
Wow. Thank you! Incredible!
Exceptional camera work...
...enjoyed every minute..
Amazing your videos thank very much Robert.
Thanks for sharing this, Robert. 👍🏻
“Amazing technology” I couldn’t say it better.. thanks for sharing.
very very beautiful. Congratulations Robert
Very cool Traveling Robert! Excellent camera work by the way! In a world where there's a lot of things that can pull you down, you provide inspiring and encouraging videos in your many travels...Thanks again!!
Glad you liked it. Thank you
Good job Robert, Thanks !!!!
What great video footage of the take off and landing. I watched it from a little further up the coast where I live in Flagler County. Incredible!!
Great job of filming the whole thing!
Howdy Robert, many thanks for sharing this spectacular and impressive video here about that rocket launch and landing on Cape Canaveral.Quite superb pal.Best wishes and cordial greetings from William in Bruges,Belgium,Europe
Excellent coverage thanks for capturing that. 👍👊😎
I loved your truck so much so we bought one too
Wow amazing what they can do today....thank you Robert for sharing
You're welcome
You are so right. The landings are impressive. And in that heavy wind too. What a special experience for you. If you ever get the chance to go through Houston again, The Johnson space center has a fantastic tour of facilities.
Awesome video! Love to try and see the rockets go off at the Cape one day. Thank you for showing us where to go to get the best view for the show!
Fantastic!
Wow very cool thanks for producing!
You're welcome
thanks Robert, that was cool.
Amazing! Gotta love America!
Wow! Thank You for sharing.
Amazing. Thank you.
Another great video, thank you Robert!
Awesome launch. Even though the booster was spinning out of control upon landing, it was crazy to see that it landed without any explosions.
Amazing tech
The systems detected the issue and took the rocket offshore, which probably part of the reason it didn't explode. It's still pretty amazing that they designed the rocket to have this nice safety feature.
@@blanc10 its even better then that, the system will land in the water by default, and if everything goes well it will take it towards land.
Great footage.
That was awesome! Great show!!
Wow truly amazing to watch thank you
Your 4k camera looks amazing!
Thanks!
Saving this vid for sure....
Very nice, Robert. Thank you.
You're welcome
Your recital really caught my ear when you said the VAB building was 8, 526 feet tall at 2:31!!! Or was that "... IT IS 526 feel tall?" Oh, okay - I must listen more carefully, a trait my wife never has accused me of..." Many thanks for sharing the excellent video :)
Very nice, definitely something to see in person! The next launch we don’t want to miss will be the Orion SLS EM-1 test flight.
Amazing..I'll have to take that trip in the future from St Pete..Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic ! Thanks for sharing
Thank you!
That was awsome! Nice camera work Robert.
Thank you!
That new drone you got is loud! And it’s on fire!
Once saw a shuttle launch on July 4th (STS-121) 2006 from the Norweigen Gem cruise ship docked at the cape Thanks for sharing this brings back memories but technology has come a long way with these rockets GOD BLESS AMERICA So appropriate to release this video today as a tribute to Bush 41
Great video Robert , I miss all the launches we use to see when I was a young man , keep up the good work , love the channel , going south in mid Jan . maybe I'll see you along the way Thanks Jim T
Great camera work!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you!
Great job with the camera Robert!
Its amazing seeing it live,I have seen three launches, thnx for sharing 👌👌👌👌
Its awesome i never seen before in my life
WOW that was amazing. Have a Merry Christmas.
Thank you, Merry Christmas to you too
Thanks for the great video, Robert. I'm kind of a space geek too, thanks to my brother working as an engineer at Kennedy
Space Center. On one of your trips through Brevard County you should stop at the American Space Museum in Titusville. It's not big but it's very interactive and chock full of space goodies. It's a favorite for school field trips.
Can't wait to see more in depth, and this was a nice "preview" of what might come in the future! Happy editing!!!
And you do know that the landing of the booster actually landed in the ocean...that's why you seen it fall in the video.
Thank you
I watched it from the cocoa beach..you had a better view! I have been watching your videos in Los Angeles and now after a year have moved to FL. I will be visiting Ft Laud/Miami this weekend!
Looks like its going back down 7:25....that plane you shoot before looking higher than this rocket. And when it landed it fell over.
Very cool Robert we did get to see the launch from I our driveway.
It was great weather for a launch. Almost no clouds so no visibility issues.
AWESOME!!
WOW, that was cool.
Dang Robert, those were fantastic vid shots, did you chase the rocket with your drone?? lol Just awesome!! Thank you for the experience.
Awesome!!
Great video Robert
Me and my wife loved all your videos. We live in south fla as well maybe one day we get to meet u
I am looking forward to seeing one of those rockets go up soon.
5:30 Fly Falcon Fly !!!! you too Pelican !
Great camera work following the rocket. ITM ;-)
Thanks!
That was awesome :)
AWESOME STUFF
Robert! Great camera work! You should make a - I'm flyyyyying... I'm flyyyying in my rocketttt.... song!
Thanks!
BTW, cool channel
@@TravelingRobert That's so kind of you to say Robert! *I wish I had started an RV channel!!!* 🚙_ 🚌
Oh yeah!
very cool
Pretty cool👍
yes it was. Thanks!
Like and support from London! 💗
wow.... that's crazy...
How does this compare to a shuttle launch? I saw one when I was 7 and thinking about going out to see a falcon 9 this month
I can’t believe I haven’t done this yet
like you dindt notice the landing failure um....
At the moment I didn't
Did the rocket tip over at the end when it landed? It kinda looked that way.
Yes it did. It kind of failed at the end.
@@TravelingRobert Yup, it tipped over. This guy explains what happened ruclips.net/video/Ge1_6MUWAYg/видео.html
rest in piece booster 1050.1
atleast we will learn from its failure, and make sure it never happens again.
For the explanation, something which helps controlling the booster failed, and that's why it looks like it's in a complete freefall, when it's supposed to control it's trajectory way better than that. Here it was spinning pretty fast, which makes it even harder.
As a backup, they tried to land it in the water, which surprisingly succeeded, and then it just fell oven in the water.
The booster might be reused only for internal SpaceX mission, as salt water is usually not a good thing for rocket components.
I believe one of the hydraulic fin actuator drives has failed. I think the landing was a success though. They unwillingly had a chance to test the emergency landing routine in the water. The system was able to quickly recognize the problem and adjust it's guidance control parameters to safely land the first stage in the water.
*CRS-16
But otherwise, great video!
Though, why does nobody mention the landing faliure (Well, water landing, it can probably still be reused)?
Just seen the last one that went up
Great close up from the distance, what MPG's are you getting pulling the RV with the colorado?
Almost, (almost) reminds me of the Apollo Saturn V launching to the moon in the 70s..
Nice video! Do you know from which launch pad it took off? What's the name of the causeway you guys parked?
Thanks!
Ramon Y. It was from the NASA Causeway.
What camera did you use? wonderful pictures.
This was mostly the Sony FDR AX53. Selfie video was the Sony X3000
It crashed at landing...
Rocket did an emergency landing in the water
Video: ruclips.net/video/NxjI0cpnbvA/видео.html
It did what it was designed to do. The trajectory is designed such that if something goes wrong, it will ditch in the water, not on land.
Even if it had gone off-target on land, you can see that the automatic braking and soft landing protocol worked perfectly to bring it in gently
Are you singing the intro song?
at the end you can see the top of the rocket falling over..rare miss for space x
I saw that after I saw the video
Elon Musk is taking us to Mars!
Can't wait
I can see it now, Traveling Robert heading to Mars with the "mini" in tow. 😀😀
Robert, What brand and model camera are you using?
Sony FDR AX53 for most of the filming. Also Sony X3000 for selfie video, dash cam etc.
first....lol Thanks Robert for what you do....
Robert, I heard that Musk is working on a Space Winne. I think you should upgrade.
Did you guys not know at that time that it had a failure and landed in the ocean?
We didn't. It looked fine from our vantage point. I still think it is amazing technology
@C Lopez I think when youre actually there from so far away its hard to notice such things, especially because the treeline was obstructing a part of the view. cut the man some slack and enjoy the awesome video.
@C Lopez you can see it, but only if you already knew it happened. And maybe he shouls have spotted it in editing, but still, its not a documentary, its a travel vlog, and that travel includes not realizing/noticing that the booster failed.to launch
It landed okay, but then it fell over.
@@FredMas-gt2uh they should use technology the lunar module used.
@@FaithwalkerTodd lol
Hi
Bad thing Falcon 9 Rocket booster is landing on water
