    Love listening to artists who were old souls perform when they're old.

    My parents went to this last night. I wanted a peek at what they saw, and holy cow. That was literally amazing. A true artist, a real musician. Rarer and rarer these days

    There something I find disturbing about Joni Mitchell being paraded out
    surrounded by sycophants, to perform to an audience that I find as equally disturbing.
    I choose to remember the musician as she was and listen to her music
    often and hope that all is well with her and that she's happy.

      Would you feel less disturbed if you knew Joni said thank you last night to those same "sycophants" who "brought me out of retirement" or the times she laughed with glee singing and sharing her stories with us? Would you feel less disturbed if you knew that Joni (not the "sycophants") was the star of the show and the highlight? Every one of the "sycophants" took a back seat. And she was not "paraded out" - she was gracefully seated in a beautiful armchair, and held court, and her own, the entire night.

      @@terrymichaels3744 I think its something in between. All and I mean all players of that era just can't give it up, except for Grace Slick....All the rest from Mick, Paul to Ringo and everyone in between will embarrassingly keep at it til the cows come home, part of it is ego and lust for eternal fame, and the rest is simply the fact that thats what they do, they are performers and musicians.....ya know just like that the old waitress who works till 95. Thats what she did, she was a waitress, Joni is a musician. Retirement equals death. Except for the fact that very few of them can sing for shit anymore without techno help....let em be ...people still go and pay because they too are reliving what once was. To each his own....They won't be getting $200 or $1000 bucks outa me. I was there when it actually was 'the good ole days".

      what is disturbing is your lack of common sense and knowledge and absurd comment

    • @2visiondigital
      @2visiondigital 6 дней назад

      2 interesting comments from different perspectives. I do not think she was paraded out against her will, but I am not a fan of Belinda. I am not as old as some of these stars. I watch Sting, Peter Gabriel, Phill Collins and others out there near 80, with voice or body diminished performing. I don't get it, ego, $$, is it in their blood, all they know. Joni, Dylan and a few others might be exceptions. I look forward to retiring.

      @@2visiondigital Dylan is pathetic, mumbling through monotone talking lyrics you can barely understand. Which song is that? With a band that is soulless. But people love it! Good for them and him. Keith and Bob and Bobby Weir will play til they drop. I'd go see Dionne Warwiick though at 83. A real singer. The greats like Louis Armstrong, and the Duke etc performed to the end .Frank Sanatra called it quits in his 80s. It is what it is. I'm glad I lived to see em all in their heyday.
