Are you using Reshade or something for some of the in game clips? The colours look really good.

Reiza nailed it again. The nice thing at AMS 2 is, that all original cars are fully functional and look and feel fantastic. In my opinion the simulator no. 1 at the moment. They should overhaul the replay system…
Hello, how are you? I'm part of the Reiza team, I work with textures, etc.. I also have some insights about replays, could you give a detailed explanation about what you mentioned about the replay system? I want to know if it's the same perception I have. @@JOTAF1DF there's a lack of options in replay mode as not having the possibility to select the exact moment of the replay that you want, not be able to see the entire practice session, apart from that, congratulations for the nice job

The problem with repetitions are:
1. These are too short for training sessions. At least one, preferably two complete laps should be recorded.
2. More importantly: It should be possible to jump directly to points in time, like in all other current sims. I like analyzing my laps but that's really no fun with AMS2.
Everything else about AMS2 is so good that it's my favorite simulator. And I have them all (AC, ACC, iRacing, RF2, RRR, ...).
Please, please, please overhaul the replay system.
Also we can't see the replay of rhe race like tv. Most sims has already that..
@@JOTAF1DF Sorry to hijack this, but I think a great QoL feature would be the possibility to change the distance and position of tracklimit and other warning / info panels for VR users. My eyes always hurt when one of these comes up ^^
Also ontopic: Freecam is wonky / ctl+k didnt really work for some time / moves with the car.
Anyway love this sim, great to see playernumber records being beaten update by update. This is only going to get better

Oh this is incredible, I really didn’t expect LMDh cars in this update. That being said it does make the lack of a Ferrari licence somewhat more conspicuous.
Ferrari soon must beg reiza to be added. Bad look for ferrari not rwiza imo xD
The Le Mans update is fantastic and I can't wait for the historical Le Mans and historical prototype cars.

hooray! At last point systems are updated!!!! It was a long time, while 80-ies 90-ies F1 could not be properly simulated in championship mode.

AMS2 is Perfect but there is one part Missing wich is the Multiplayer they should alteast release a dediacted server so other Services like LFM can Manage the Servers etc

One Question for me, it is good to see that we can swap with an AI Teammate now. But can the opponent's do the same. Keyword are AI to AI Driver Swap?
Good question. The driver swap does not add time to a pit stop so…
This means during a long race you can add it into the normal pit stop stint. Or…
In a shorter race you have two options.
1. Have everything in accelerated wear so every car has a pit stop at shorter number of lap intervals.
2. Pre set up forced number of pit stops.

Hey there! Been watching your AMS2 coverage for quite some time, and just noticed you're using the Fanatec DD1 as I am... however, I cannot for the life of me get this sim to recognize my wheel and keep it recognized. It's like my profile's .ini file is flashed each time a launch and exit the game. I did manage to get it captured on one session using compatibility mode, but as soon as I came back to it the next day I had nothing. Do you have any recommendations?? I really want to pick up some of the historic content especially...

I have lost connection on a few occasions but that is also on other sims. It is normally a driver update required. Your issues sounds like an over write issue. Have you asked the question on the Reiza forum? There are hundreds of users with technical expertise.
@@codeREDsim Thanks for the quick reply! In fact, I haven't.. I do update my fanalab and respective fanatec firmware regularly (just the other day with 455 in fact)... I will owe their forums a visit. It's been ages since I've installed PCARS2, but I've always presumed it to be a Madness engine quirk, as I had no issues with my CSW 2.5... Only when I moved to the DD1 did I forgo playing that game.. Have a good new year!
@@maxwellsoler8676 first thing I would do is figure out what port the DD1 is plugged into by going into device manager to your usb port (usually the last at the bottom of the list then click the plus to expand that list) then unplug your DD1 and see which one disappears. Plug it back in then uninstall it. I would then uninstall fanalab and delete any leftover files. Clean the registry if you know how to if not reinstall Fanalab. Rescan for changes in device manager . I should recognize your DD1. Check the properties of the usb port that was just created to confirm the driver manufacturer. If its not correct reinstall correct driver through Fanalab.

It does. However you do know there are replay camera buttons that offer a slight improvement.
would love to see the Sebring road course in Florida, does anyone know if this would be in release pack 2 ?
I don’t know but would make sense at the LMDh car are in the IMSA series.
Great release for sure but driver swaps to an Ai not another team member or human needs fixing. They also need to work on bringing grid size for multiplayer upto 50. Struggles beyond 25 really.
Does this make the upcoming Lemans Ultimate by S397 completely unnecessary? Or will Race Control give LU a boost that AMS2 doesn't have?
No, I think AMS2 has depth of content but with S397 involved in Le Mans Ultimate, I expect it will have rF2 quality physics and ffb. I think they are adding a lot of GT cars too.
My gut feeling is the title will have strong uptake but it will need a strong multiplayer ranked online system.
Can we change the amount of rendered cars during the race? I race in VR and can happily run 30 cars in daylight, come night the headlights bring it to crawl for fps.

I think they're planning to change this very soon though. Should be able to change the rendered cars in an upcoming update

9:15 actually the "h" on LMDh, means nothing, the cars are just name Le Mans Daytona h, aparebtely the rule makers couldnt come to an agreement to what the "h" would mean

That is what I love about the community!! Well spotted. Yes, I edited out the homologated to the end of 2024. For AMS2 it gets the new light-up number boards and liveries.

Not a stupid question. It is free to use now but in a few day will go to a DLC. I believe the price will be reasonably low.

I want AMS2 but for me the engine and the graphics are just too old by today's standards. It's the same engine that was used for both Project Cars 1 and 2 and neither of those sims are around anymore. If they move to a newer engine for their next sim (which I suspect will be ages from now) I will no doubt buy into it, fully.
Tbh outside of ACC I can’t think I have seen a more detailed, crisper sim once everything is in ultra.
@@codeREDsim My point more so is that you have Assetto 2, RENNSPORT, GTR Revival, and Le Mans Ultimate that hasn't even released yet, and is a sim that is solely dedicated to the full Le Man experience, and not simply an add-on to a current sim. None of these sims are out yet, and they will all utilize new engines that allow for newer technologies in graphics and more. AMS2 won't allow for newer graphical technologies. They're pushing that engine as far as it can go.

Sorry, but this won’t be coming to console, but you can expect sim a quality Le Mans specific console game in 2024 I believe.

@@codeREDsim No need to apologise...we just noticed, especially early on ...an unusually low frame rate - not as smooth as you would expect. Seen this once or twice on other footage, especially ACC
The pre made championships were already there.
They were but had very limited number of options. Reiza has significantly added to them.
