- Episode 1 of our web video series "Stories from the Rainbow Warrior." You'll see the maiden voyage through the eyes of our youngest activists, the New Hands on Deck: newhandsondeck. It's our way of saying "Thank you" and to show off what 100,000+ of you bought when you funded the ship bolt by bolt, cleat by cleat, and sail by sail.

@revron77
That's excactly what I did when it was in Amsterdam. I'm totally in love with and in awe of the masts and when I was on board for a tour I just stroked them and and imagined all the forces of nature they will have to endure and I wished them all the luck and succes and strength they can use !!!
Good Luck everyone, Darn good, Bloody luck!
@PardusPanthera100 big mac
god, the perfect anti tuna poaching ship, and they send it to south america to protest deforestation, even though it cannot sail in land, they should call up Pete Bethune and ask him for his new boat, that could be of real help
@PardusPanthera100 You can also think that going vegan isn't completely environmentally friendly, since you will be eating many vegetables that come from big companies that make the planting possible by deforestation. Besides, they may use monoculture, which leaves the soil useless as the minerals used are always the same, leading to an overwork of it. Those plantings may also use products such as pesticides, which are made for a certain plant, but they affect other types of them. Is that okay?
Great - EXCEPT very disappointed to hear them mention meat on the ship, when one of the best things we can do for the planet in general is to GO VEGAN. It's estimated that animal agriculture produces more greenhouse gasses than transport, and is therefore a major threat to the environment. With all of their excellent campaigns for Earth, why is Greenpeace also promoting veganism? Going vegan is one of the easiest & also one of the best things we can do for Earth & all of her species.
