These radios are know to be flakey when powered via a real POE switch with 24v converters. Removing this diode fixes the issue. Below for more info: wiki.w9cr.net/...
Got one mounted to the shack with a 5kW AM transmitter nearby that keeps randomly resetting every 3 or 4 months. Ferrites didn’t help. Was going to try a different brand but maybe this will do the trick.

yea, we've had it come up in bootloader mode, due to the way POE+ works on it with the POE to 24v POE converters. It's a poor design.
Do you lose the switch reset function by doing this?
no, only the remote function. Local still works.
Suggestion: Would be much easier to follow without the music
