Fun fact, In Battlefield 1 you can slam fire by holding down the firing button. It’s still relatively slow but doesn’t require multiple clicks

The shotguns in WW2 are awful too. No kidding, when people say "akimbo pistols = best shotgun" or "Kar98 = best shotgun" they're dead serious.

The most realistic one is Battlefield 1, but the one in Killing Floor 2 sounds satisfying.Others sounded like a reskinned M870.

In my opinion, CoD WaW's trench gun sounds the best. I've listened to recordings of real trench guns, and WaW's sound lines up pretty close with em. I'd assume it was one of the guns they shot when developing the sounds for the game.

Should have shown the slamfire in action in BF1, the only game in this list that I know of that actually allows you to slamfire the Trench gun.

I’m so glad you included Fistful of Frags. They list the gun in-game as an 1893, but it’s really an 1897

The Shotgun from Fistfull of Frags is one of if not the best weapon to get in the game

I do too. Personally I think it should be punchier, but I’m criticizing a 13 year old game on sound design. Said game also does a ton of other things better than most other CoDs, especially in the campaign.
@@camarokidbb4347 yeah. Call of Duty never really had immersive sound design in my opinion. That's why I play more of Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V now.
@@HardcoreHalo MW2019 had some kickass sound design in my opinion, but again it’s more the exception rather than the rule. Though pistol-caliber weaponry like the PPSh-41 do sound pretty good, if only because pistol calibers don’t sound that intense to begin with.

Fun fact!: The trench gun could turn automatic when the pump is pushed back at the same time you pull the trigger, and release the pump.

Battlefield 1 shotguns are just OP and underrated how shotguns should work
WaW errors:
- Misaligned sight
- 3 shells ejecting after each shot
- incorrect 6 shell capacity
WW2 error:
- incorrect 7 shell capacity
WAW is still better

Actually if you load one in the tube and put five in the mag then yes its six shells.

if you notice, BF1 is the only game to properly simulate the trenchgun's "slam fire" where you just hold down the trigger and pump to fire quickly on every pull-forward, this slam fire gives the trench gun a VERY FAST firerate, but every other game seems to think there the gun is like every other shotgun where a pause (COD WW2 is the worst offender imo)
on the matter of CoD WW2's trenchgun, it would be quite redundant to put on a buckhorn rear sight post on a shotgun such as that
He doesn't show it at all, but the one in KF2 can(sort of, not really, as it doesn't work if the trigger is just held) "slam fire".
With the way that cod plays,a slam fire shotgun in it qould break the game. I played bf1 and played a good amount with the hellfighter trench gun,and the slam fire really just makes this gun a beast in close quarters if ur not using that one gun with the hunter variant. But this gun is supposed to imitate the pump hun role,and if it was slam fire,people would be dropshoting while shooting wat would almost be a full auto shothun.

Except there was a part of the cartridge of the m1897 shells that always broke in soldiers pockets and caused the gun to jam

Dallas Some shotguns can be continuously fired while pumping the pump causing the gun to fire faster than normal. Most shotguns today have this feature disabled.

Wrong, Battlefield 1 has that feature, just hold down the trigger and watch it go. That said its even funner with the real thing but your not going to hit spit with slamfire though it is a lot of fun.
