Thank you! We’ve only in the past 6 months started focusing on the RUclips channel (mainly podcast only before then) but feel free to spread the word. Great to connect with people from all over the world👍
Wow such a lovely discussion. Reminded me of the days in my hostel where me and friends used to discus strats and permutations for different franchises . I am the type of person who used to root for underdogs , while my closest friend is a diehard fan of rohit . And ofc have a yellove fan base everywhere here in ind . Anyways love the episode . Doesn't deserve the views . Hope you will get more .and more thing i can see that even if this channel doesnot get loads of views or reach . Still you will have a niche loving audience. And this time we already kinda named a rivalry of rcb vs csk which are the names of 2 biggest mass movies from ind . KGF (Kohli -glenn- faf) vs RRR (rachin-ritu-ravi jaddu )
Thanks for the kind words. With all this positive support I’m sure more viewers will come. We have a great time recording them - like you say, we’re good friends talking about the game we love, so it’s nice other people are enjoying and connecting with us as well👍 Happy holiday season from here in New Zealand.
Kinda surprised about MI assessment That team has like strongest playing 11 or 12 honestly. Not to forget their scouts always bring someone new every season. Also their backup are super strong i have seen vishnu vinod batting and he is one of the best wicketkeeper going around in domestic cricket. Also they added couple of good young all rounder but yeah their spin bowling department is bit of worry
We talked a little about this in a previous episode - feel like it won’t be too long before the players start to ask for a bigger slice of the IPL revenue.
Has anybody told u guys that one of the guy amongst u look like sam perry frm grade cricketer poadcast , two aussie journos .😅😊 All the best guys n great coverage of ipl n teams , keep up the good work guys.👍
i want to ask you a question. how much cricket fan are in NEWZEALAND? is cricket underated in NEWZEALAND or have good popularity? plsss tell me all about your cricket culture everything plssssssss❤❤
We have a small population here in NZ so it’s all relative but we have very passionate sports fans and cricket is probably our biggest summer sport. Rugby still gets the most media coverage but we’re all proud when our cricket teams do well on the world stage.
Idk what you guys are on about, MI has one of the best batting line-ups Apart from Tim David coming at 6 You have an impact sub at 7 in Nehal Wadhera & one of Nabi or Romario Shepherd at 8..with Piyush or Coetzee at 9..idk how deep you want the team to bat
Yes some of us think they’re great, others are worried that they’ll rely heavily on a few players. Will see what happens. Should be another good tournament! Any thoughts on whether Hardik taking the captaincy will cause any friction? Seemed like a great leader at GT but some reports suggesting senior players weren’t happy?
May be you guys don't know that v Iyer,s Iyer, Nitish rana, Rinku, is 2nd best Indian batting order after Mumbai ,s Sharma and v chakarvati is the 2nd spinners pair after RR
We love Rinku! And yes, a few mixed views among us about which teams have the best lineups - will see what happens later in 2024! A lot of talent in all the rosters.
I think Stephen Fleming have plan to do training of players under MS Dhoni so they were learnt alot and emphasis their talent . And its good for CSK as well as for Newzealand
They’re all good teams. CSK and MI will have clarity and solid strategies when it comes to the tournament. It’s all about the background and the environment.
Yes when you go through the lineups they are all strong - some more than others but agree CSK and MI have the history to suggest they’ll be in the mix again.
@@thetoporderpodcast yeah! Lots of teams look very good but I still look at CSK and MI and think it’s more likely that they both are in top 4 than not.
Every Indian expert is totally upset with mini action now. Not team/player fault but system is getting manipulated. Two small eg; Harshal, Mavi, Shahrukh, Rizvi, Dayal went for above "5cr+" this auction, will never get a look into Indian national team. Current Indian players and their IPL fees Rinku 0.50cr Patidar 0.50cr, Sai/Rituraj/Mukesh less than 2cr. Fair or unfair ?? Convay 2cr retained (Mitchell 14cr released), Faf 8cr retained (Alzarri 12cr after release) Every team has this issue, you can check and it is affecting players already. Dinesh Karthick has posted a video on this too. All big buys coming only in Mini Auction (Yuvraj, Brook, Curran now Cummins/Staarc) "Something is going to give" All's not well with mini auction.
Yes some of the figures seem very distorted to us looking on from the outside. Wonder if the players will soon push for a bit more control about when they can get themselves back in auctions or something like that, as well as asking for more of the total IPL revenue (their share is lower than a lot of other sports leagues around the world). Will be interesting to see what happens in the coming years.
@@thetoporderpodcast Its Rinku Singh example that bothers ppl the most. He is our next big hero after SKY, and a permanent player in the Indian squad for T20's Rinku is retained for 55lakhs by KKR and the person he hit 5 sixes in last over (Yash Dayal) was released by GT. Dayal got sold for 5cr in auction, now RCB(10 times what Rinku gets). Hard to digest this logic.

MI batting looks weak. Why?? Because they don't have any lower order Overseas batters???Is that the reason??? That has to be the dumbest shit I've heard in a while.😂 They got the best batting lineup for Indian conditions. You might not rate Wadhera but that dude has been scoring lot of runs in the domestics since the last IPL. They just won SMAT T20 competition last month or so and he did well. Rohit,Ishan,Sky,Tilak,Hardik ,Wadhera,Tim David.Romario Shepherd/Nabi with Coetze. If they want they can play both Nabi and Shepherd together as well. Their Indian core allows them to play all kinds of combinations. I'm sorry that their Number 10 and 11 can't bat, if that's what you mean?😜😂 This is the best batting lineup in the IPL next season. If you have said this about RCB I would have agreed, Faf,Virat,Rajat,Green and Maxi. That's it, that's their batting core.
Yes we certainly have divided opinions about Mumbai on the panel - some think they’ll be close to winning the whole thing, some think they might struggle. Excited to see who is right in a few months’ time!
KKR will have to play both Sunil Narine and Mitchell Starc as the Impact Player - the specialised 12th man depending on type of pitch on a particular day. Thats because I do not think they can leave off Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Andre Russel even when they do not perform exceptionally with the bat. Then they will probably not also leave off Jason Roy because they do not have international top order batsman apart from Jason and Gurbaz. So that leaves one position for overseas player slot to be covered by Sunil Narine and Mitchell Starc among others. Good thing that they have picked up a quality T20 indian fast bowler in Chetan Sakariye, they will be playing him regularly I am sure and this will be his chance to make it big.
That would be a surprise if Starc is an impact player after spending such a big amount on him but we did wonder whether they’d have been better off spending that money on a few players rather than just Starc. Will see in a few months how effective he is!

But it you've been following IPL for the last few years you'll find that Rohit has struggled to score runs so him being injured won't affect MI much. Also no team has a good enough Indian replacement for Pandya and Bumrah in their playing XI let alone back-ups. The reason why CSK wins is that they don't go for flashy Australians but quiet Newzealand. They talk less and work more and more effeciently
