Regarding healing and reviving injured and dead people... actual battles in FF games kinda take place in an alternate reality when you can get encased in ice or get a meteor dropped on you, and you don't actually get hurt, you just lose HP (restored by Cure) or get knocked out (reversed by Pheonix Down). This was easier to 'see' in older games where you actually transitioned into and out of battle scenes. If you get hurt in a cutscene, however, that shit stings.

They take place in an alternate reality? Gee, thanks bud. I thought these were documentaries and not video games.
Get a life.
