I really appreciate your video’s mate I love the levels of detail you put in to your cars the mk3 is my favourite one I did have a love for the mk4 2.3 but the looks of the mk3 were just levels ahead of most cars in its range thanks again
These vids are really helping me get my mojo back for my project Pete. I’ve just discovered Fertan and it seems to be very effective - I may even use it for some complete panels instead of sanding all the way back to bare metal, which will also keep the neighbours happy!
Loving this series of videos Pete, great to see a completely different approach on this MK3. Is it a bit more chilled doing projects like this one and Tee Cee? Tee Cee just needed a replacement engine and it would have been a perfect daily driver, this one will be spot on :)
I know what you mean about car accessory shop hanging on for dear life; i popped in to the one my dad used to take me in with him when over at my uncle and grandas helping them with their cars in the 90s. Two old chaps in there, mugs in hand relaxing of a morning, and a books area with couches 😁 i got the bulb i was after and let them know i was in there 20+ years ago as a kid 👍🙂
Old pintos were great engines. My dad's friend told me he fitted a 2 litre cylinder head pinto to a 1.6 pinto block engine. The guy that owned the Sierra said it went like fk with 2 litre cylinder head must be valves and the cams are longer. Don't know if it was true story lol
The good climate that Car's been in has been your friend here... Imagine trying to wrestle with those nuts, bolts and brake lines if it'd been sat in this country :-) Love these vids.
Big coincidence for me there Pete: I was on the Carleton to Colne road yesterday (in my Audi, but not that one!) 🙂
Awsome 👍👍
Thanks 🤗
Reminds me of sitting in the "ODEON" waiting for the big movie 👍
Bottom, one of my favourite shows. Rik Mayall gone far too soon

My ranking of Cortina City skills: (1) Brake pipe replication (2) Electronics design (3) Sheet metal work.

Why don’t you put an Essex V6 in it Pete
Righty o, cheese and onion, Union Jack tickler it is then! (If you know you know haha)
proceeds to get smashed against the condom machine!

Thanks 👍
Excellent progress on Papa, and great Tina G action as a bonus. Thanks Pete.
Hi pete👍
Great stuff Pete ! How come the brakes are 8 inch instead of 9 ?
I think on L models 1600 they had 8s. 1600GT/2000/GXL, Estates and 2.0 cars had 9s
