In all fairness, T1 had to earn their way to playoffs. TES, BLG and G2 is a nightmare draw for any team. I'll back T1 to get the job done but G2 is no pushover.

Im jealous to the T1 fans who can confidently think T1 can win 100% vs G2, because personally, i cant, yes we've had their number in past couple years, and also should win comfortably later, but that 2019 PTSD still hit me man, because that year, after Liquid beat IG, my minds are already in seeing SKT(T1) won the MSI, but instead get slapped hard. And since then i never even slightly underestimate G2 when T1 meet them

Kind of a weird thing on both ends. I'm a T1 fan since 2013, and I'll always root for T1, and on a statistical level, especially on worlds performance so far (Taking down BLG and having a really good game against TES), as long as T1 doesn't draw GEN G in playoffs, they have a good chance at making it the whole way again, hence why they're a favourite for G2 since G2 hasn't been looking good at all. On the other hand, G2 is just such a damn random ass team, that 1/5 games will be top tier performance out of nowhere, and I can never reliably say they'll lose, especially with T1's insistent on inconsistent drafts at important games. There's a chaotic element to G2 to just pull magic and it could definitely get them the dub.

The actual game changer here is FNC vs WBG, if FNC loses (which is likely) G2 has a 50% chance to get BLG. If FNC wins, it's huge (in case G2 loses vs T1).
You are forgetting teams who will be 2-2 from 2-1 like DK, FLY most likely. G2 can play against DK, FLY, TL, BLG so it is %25.

I dont wanna doubt TES but there are total 3 LPL teams and 3 LCK teams in the 2-1 & 1-2 brackets.
based on previous years and this years stats (2 LCK in 2-1 and 2LPL in 1-2) LCK is the more consistent region..
So essentially TES might actually lose to DK.
Assuming T1 and HLE both win their games.. Thats total 3 LCK teams in quarters already..
Now assuming TL BLG and WBG all win their games.. thats 3 LPL teams playing for the remaining spots..
The best draw for LPL would be if TES BLG and WBG play G2 FLY TL.. that would mean quarters would be 4 LPL vs 4 LCK..
but that would be way too perfect for LPL fans.. so unlikely..
basically in the 2-2 matchup.. at least 1 LPL team will get knocked out because lets say BLG vs WBG...
The worst matchup would be TES vs BLG as thats their #1 & #2 seeds killing each other..
then at that point no need to watch the rest as we know there is no chance for LPL to win and beat LCK this year..
The best scenario would be for TES to beat DK, knocking DK into the 2-2 matchup so that will lower the chances of LPL clashing.
Since WBG has already played TL & G2, their only options left would be BLG DK FLY
I have a feeling the LPL gods are not with them this year and it might be TL vs G2 since the casters wanted some NA EU Action, but who knows..
so therefore TL vs G2, WBG vs BLG, DK vs FLY. this would be the only way for At least 1 NA or EU team to make it into quarters if youre a western fan.
If not, then the worst matchup for western fans would be WBG vs TL , G2 vs BLG and DK vs fly. assuming all eastern teams win then itll be an all LPL vs LCK quarters, similar to last year except there was 1 non LCK team last year.
