I dont get it my dudes. I listened to dilla a lot, 9th Wonder, Madlib, Nujabes, Pete Rock etc. But the beast beats I am considering as really the best are from no names.
      Chinx - Dope House
      Earl Sweatshirt - Pre
      MGK - Wild Boy (Remix)
      Evidence - Mr. Slow Flow
      Logic - Ballin
Those beats are *banging!* no comparison to dilla but I feel like Dilla is overhyped because he was the underdog to chose for beats, created slums village, jaylib and rare beats for busta, common, etc. But I dont feel he ever topped *Still Tippin - Mike Jones* beat. That's my controversial take on that topic. I hope I can open your eyes with my beat choices

That's why his beats sound "alive" even though he has long since passed. Even RZA couldn't touch Dilla because he was only sampling, as opposed to breathing into the music.

I'm working in his shadows (and many more of the elders - Promo, Q-Tip, NO ID, and Ye)😉. But you are right, this whole vibe was just........ although that "So Far To Go" joint with Common and D'Angelo was sick too. And "Dreamy" is an all time classic. I think this beat knocks hard for me because I was an Entrourage fan and heavy herb smoker back then. This song and some good tree was a whole vibe. Entourage had very good taste music supervisors to put Dilla in an episode.

Kanye said it right when he said Dilla has a drum god. Dilla didn't compose the melodies, but he arranged them in a way that was creativity personified. His rhythm, basslines, snares, brilliant and makes it seem so easy. If he had been born in a different environment he may have been a great arranger of music, like a conductor of an orchestra.

    But nothings a given
    Ain’t it beautiful
    Ain’t it beautiful
    This life that we livin,
    Now go make a difference.
Use to write raps about luxury shit,
Now all I do is write raps where I’m wondering if.
The world was meant for us to be stuck to a dolla,
Dilla on the beat son watchu know bout ya father.
Young nigga old soul this goes back when,
way back then when I use to grab a black pen.
And go off bout how I’d own a black Benz,

Oh the dreams I held on to.
I ain’t see my pops much but when I did we made the most of it.
One summer we literally made the coast of it.
Drove from Southern California all the way up north,
Played every cd from just a man and his boy.
