My God, AMVs…how nostalgic. Excellent show. Thanks for making this nearly a decade and a half ago, stranger; whether you’ll ever see this or not. The comments too, they feel so dated…very neat to see all these ex-teens and twenty-somethings. Perhaps even a few kids.
There is something about the last panel that makes me very emotional. The protagonist takes a sip of the drink, which if I remeber correctly is coffee. He didn't like it, but he thought he had to take it because it made him more "adult" or something like that. Coming of age is a very recurrent theme in this show, and seeing that scene at the end means, for me at least, how the protagonist finally embraces becoming an adult, and that strikes me. It hits me hard because while I was watching this show, a surge of teenagehood memories burst into my mind. Those were truly good days. I'm still young, but those days of discovery, sexual awakening, curiosity, love, dolence... and ultimately maturity, are gone. And take a sweet spot in my heart. Maybe the panel strikes me, because I relate to Nahota. Maybe the panel strikes me, because watching that scene speaks of how I'll never see Nahota's adventures (and misadventures) ever again (or at least in the first season, I haven't watched the rest). And it's been a long time since I have felt like that. You know a show is good if it made you feel this way. in summary, that last scene overwhelms me with nostalgia

Awesome song and an equally awesome anime series. Fooly Cooly (a.k.a. FLCL) was only six episodes long -- but it was brilliant, hyper-kinetic, sexy, entertaining, and fabulously baffling all at once and from start to finish. Great stuff! If you've never watched the Fooly Cooly anime series, you don't know what you're missing!

this is my fav anime, when i was young(before my nerdgasam) i watched this thought it was weird and a little desturbing, also confusing and so i swore off it just recently had i watched it again(now i'm a otaku) and its awasome and i can fallow the story i guess this anime just takes maturety to understand.
this is completely irrelevant. but i’m learning Japanese, and the fact that i can read that literally makes me so happy. also i am too lazy to switch accounts so i apologize to my little brother
it's about adolescence. Go read about it online and go rewatch it. I'm sure even after 10+ rewatches you still won't understand everything this anime has to offer. Yet at the same time, it's still so enjoyable even if you have no clue what's going on. The episode where the main character swings the bat is one of the greatest experiences I've had watching anime, even if I didn't get it.
Oh I remember when they showed this on Adult Swim in 2008 I was 8, I didnt get it then they showed it last year I was like YOU LET ME WATCH THIS WHEN I WAZ 8 WTF!

The people that made it are called Gainax, they made Gurren Lagann years later aswell. They sold the rights of FKCL to Production I.G or something and a Season 2 and 3 of the anime were announced for late 2017/early 2018 if ya didnt already know.
