    Love this. I'm not much of an OSR-head but I think time management and dungeon procedures are pretty much the "lost knowledge" of the OSR that nearly every RPG deserves to have. Not only does it contextualize a lot of decision-making and the gears behind the GM screen, it makes playing one world with several parties much more feasible.
    This has got to be the only time I've seen astronomy actually come up in a campaign. Finding a truly moonless night on a world with three moons is interesting, actually, I suspect it'd be relatively rare and random. Not as rare as an eclipse but kinda similar.

      Absolutely right. Next campaign, Scourge of the Northland, Im going to run both my groups in it simultaneously.
      You're right about the moon thing too lol. They caught me totally flat footed. So 2 weeks it is. Maybe they eclipse themselves or something or chalk it up as "Builder" tech.
