Way back around 2002-3 I was on a biz-trip in Louisiana, driving a rental car on some small highway around the middle of the state. I was scanning around on the radio trying to find something enjoyable (I'm a rock&roll guy) and this one station was playing what I nstantly recognised as Tighten Up but on an accordion...say WHAAAAA??? But it was catchy so I stuck with it, though unfortunately the DJ never said who it was. Fast forward many years into the RUclips era and one day a few years ago I thought of that song and did a search and found it right here! 😁 The funny thing is, I don't generally like Zydeco/Cajun music very much, and I also don't care for the original version of Tighten Up...but when Beau Jocque mixed them together, the result makes me smile every time! There's an exception to everything and I love this exception!

Beau Jocque was an exception zydeco musician despite his short lifespan. There should be a movie made on his life and music. ❤❤
