I wish we had these in Iraq in the early days of the war before they had actual infrastructure built. Those camp showers are amazing! We did the same thing with black garbage bags full of water to catch heat. The showers had water bottles for shower heads that we would change the caps out with holes in them to catch a shower.
You are so inventive. I think the idea of getting free material is a real winner. I watched you build steps up your hill and want to try that with our hill. We are in the hills of east Tennessee.
I know my sweetheart would love an outdoor shower, but NGL the thing that most appeals to me in this is... the drainage! We've got some areas that collect a lot of water when it rains and a good deal of it heads toward the house. Would love to redirect that.
For people who can't afford to have an outdoor boiler, there are camp shower kits that consist of a large dark pouch that you fill with water in the morning and leave in the sun all day then at the end of the day you have warm enough water for a shower :)
I was commenting to my husband how jealous I was of you being able to dig in your property. (We live on the banks of the Mississippi, and our yard is FULL of massive rocks.) And then I saw the bedrock that you have. Damn.
Awesome project, love your videos. Do you plan on adding any additional privacy screens or is that less of a priority since it's on your property? Keep it up!
I just found your channel and I’m loving it. You build the way I love to, reusing, building smart, with minimal impact to your gorgeous surroundings. Thank you for your videos and inspiration!
My local landfill is a good source for free material. I be caught contractors getting ready to dump a trailer full and talked them into bringing the choice pieces to my place. My wife says don't come home with more than I take
How long does that battery hold for your tools? I’m considering a Generac 2500 portable generator so I can operate tools + satellite but I’d love the silence more with solar battery. 😊
Great ideas kill two birds with one stone. - drainage and shower 😊 with the shower unit do you leave it outside in the elements all the time or you disconnect and store inside. Taking it outside only after when you are going to use it?

Im so happy that i found your channel! Thanks for the inspiration!
I'm so glad also, welcome!
Get enough of those old playset slides & you won’t need to use your hillside stairs as much 🤓
Great video!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeee
Great video. I’m researching methods to build an outdoor shower. Free wood is a great start. Thanks for the content
You bet!
Propane tankless is a game changer!
Nice setup, and I like the style of your videos. Great idea for free lumber!
Thank you very much!

Thanks!
Great find on the wood. My parents prefer outdoor showers but there’s was enclosed more due to the neighbors
yeah, living in the woods has its many advantages
Wow. I was just looking at an ad for a Camplux shower. They are certainly affordable.
My dad always had outdoor showers. They are nice when you come in from a long day working in the hot sun.
The best!
Love the kids set to get free lumber, it is pretty thick material they use
Yeah, it's good stuff.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I hate having to tiptoe through muddy parts on my property!
Mate love your attitude towards recycling materials! I just finished doing my out door shower and now you’ve given me a way to get HOT water!
Glad to help
First time watcher! Great work my friend, excellent resource. I’ll be tuning in more often.
Welcome and thanks for watching!
I love that you are using materials that could end up as waste and giving them a new life. I agree that would be a good business.
Well and beautifully designed optics. And really sturdily build. Chapeau!
Many thanks!
I know for sure i need one of these in my life. 😂
You do.

yup, rocks for days here!
Awesome project, love your videos. Do you plan on adding any additional privacy screens or is that less of a priority since it's on your property? Keep it up!
probably not I only have to worry about the foxes and squirrels and deer seeing me
Love this idea. Had no idea there was a portable water heater.
I just found your channel and I’m loving it. You build the way I love to, reusing, building smart, with minimal impact to your gorgeous surroundings. Thank you for your videos and inspiration!

Yep.

I really would like to build this! Thanks for the video
So cool! How did you learn how to do all this cool stuff? I mess up measuring anything I build😢
I learned the same way...lot's of trial and error.
great video!!!!
Glad you liked it!!
Thx!

Thanks for watching!
Amazing video, as per usual! What do you do with the water coming out of the shower? Do you recycle it?
No, my challenge tends to be getting rid of water
Tip top tipping🎉
Very interesting, good idea and well executed. Hey I’m growing the same style beard, I’m just a couple weeks behind you. Thx 10:40
Awesome...and thanks for watching!
Great video ! Are you adding rocks to the catch basin or is that ok as is
It's empty, for now. I'll wait to see how it performs.
Awesome what did you put on top of the basin ?
I essentially made a sink from concrete. Then I filled it up with gravel.
On the shower base what Is that black dirt looking stuff ?
I didn’t have gravel on hand…but I did have millings, so I used those.
My local landfill is a good source for free material. I be caught contractors getting ready to dump a trailer full and talked them into bringing the choice pieces to my place. My wife says don't come home with more than I take
Yep same here.
How long does that battery hold for your tools?
I’m considering a Generac 2500 portable generator so I can operate tools + satellite but I’d love the silence more with solar battery. 😊
I can run it all day (obviously it isn't running continuously...but there is power when I need it) and not run out.
I like it..
Great ideas kill two birds with one stone. - drainage and shower 😊 with the shower unit do you leave it outside in the elements all the time or you disconnect and store inside. Taking it outside only after when you are going to use it?
I've since built a little roof over the unit.
Have to hide this video from my wife 😂 well done!

"Hot water - how cool is that?" I don't think that word means what you think it means.
Couldn't resist. No need to respond.
😂… But it is “cool”!
